I stayed for two nights in October due to hurricane Fiona and was pleasantly surprised at the hospitality....Mary on the front counter is warm and welcoming . She went out of her way to find a lost item in my hotel room and did finally tract it down. The Manger as well was very accomdating and showed us understanding and respect. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend booking here if your fortunate enough to visit Cape Breton♡

This review is for the Hotel North restaurant only. We ate as a group of four, our food including spaghetti and stir fry. Food was generous and tasty. Service was very friendly, striving to please. While many other restaurants were by booking only and were full, we were able to eat at Hotel North. We were not disappointed.

This hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were comfortable. Their steps taken to ensure safety of guests during COVID made me feel safe. Location is convenient and close to the ferry. I will absolutely stay here again.

Stayed here twice in late June. We had a good size room that was quite comfortable. Both check-in and check-out were handled efficiently and with friendly staff. The hotel is really handy to the ferry terminal. There is an on-site restaurant that we used for both dinner and breakfast twice. Great hotel.

Excellent stay before catching the ferry. Hotel was super clean. Location excellent to catch ferry to Newfoundland. Our room was huge. Beds great and extra pillows. Had comfy lazy boy chair in room too. Bathroom very clean. Shower hot with an adjustable shower head. There is a bar and excellent restaurant in motel. Restaurant overlooks the harbour and has huge deck. Food was excellent and serve friendly and fun. Laundry onsite. Definitely recommend.

Very accommodating at front desk. Room large; beds soft; quiet atmosphere. Very convenient to the ferry from Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques, therefore, perfect location for us. The restaurant on premises was an added bonus.

Water view from room. Ferry was in port next door. Great pizza place close by Joe's pizza. Comfortable beds, quiet, safe, restaurant on site. Tim Horton's for breakfast a few blocks away. Free parking. Large counter in bathroom, plenty of towels. Stayed on first floor.

Had great stay here recently. Staff super friendly, rooms nice and clean. Restaurant is very very good! Great location near both North Sydney and Sydney Mines. Was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience, and will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in September for three nights in total. So clean service was excellent and restaurant had excellent meals we had breakfast,lunch,and supper all excellent. We would definitely stay there again and really close to ferry so convenient.

Don't know either. But what I can tell you is that they were undergoing an extensive renovation when we were there in August 2015 as they are under new management. I would suggest you contact the hotel directly and find out of they have any pictures of newly renovated rooms that may be suitable for your needs. The restaurant has a lovely view and depending on time of year for your visit, they have a lovely veranda for eating outside or having drinks while overlooking harbor and city.
There are more places to choose from in the North Sydney area.
