When you are in this area, lodging choices were limited. Positives: - lobby area was clean. - flexible in helping and resolving when errors came from Expedia's App when booking. - quiet Negatives: - a very dark room. Could have placed more lamps or lights throughout the room. - Broken curtain - Desk lamp base was dirty, dusty, and unclean with multiple watermarks big and small - short hairs found on sink surface and bathroom countertop - tilted and uneven bed Other: - The front desk staff at check-in, Nathan, kept on pulling up his pants and tucking his shirts into his pants when speaking with me. I asked if he needed time to get dressed properly and professionally, please do it when no one was around or I could step away and come back. It's a public place/lobby, it could seem inappropriate. He then stopped immediately. This pattern in hotel staffs throughout the road trip was more apparent since May 2021 to date. Before that, all hotel staff were dressed properly and professionally, without seeing odd behaviors like this. - TV was on since checked in, did not notice it was on and had been running until turning all lights off, I turned it off. Heard that when the TV is on, it's an indirect and subtle way of recording what's happening in the room. For these two reasons under "other" category, I would not feel comfortable recommending this hotel. There is a bigger town called Campellton about 20 minutes away, with more lodging options, which still allows you to have easy access to Dalhousie for sightseeing. But if you really have to stay in Dalhousie, then this is perhaps your only choice.

The staff was super kind and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. I had a great view. The hotel is situated close to a grocery store and a Tim Hortons which was very convenient. Parking is very big.

A very run down hotel, in a rather run down part of town. Happy to park the Harley by the front door ! The Check in was ok, and the room was clean, even though the carpet is soaked by the A/C.... NO breakfast unfortunately, of any kind. We asked for an extra coffee packet, and was freely given, that was a plus. ATM machine, as well as the vending machines all tagged, NOT WORKING., the ice machine in the basement did work! In walking distance to a Foodland, and a Tim Hortons, a bonus. Value for the money, NOT even close!

The hotel met our expectations. The location was not nice, not a pretty part of town. We were just passing through so it wasn't a deal breaker. The main street one block away seemed like it was suffering from the covid pandemic. Not too many businesses open

We drove to see our niece on Dalhousie. The location of the motel was great for our trip, only a block away from family. The motel was clean but well worn. The staff was pleasant, they would talk with you if they were addressed first. Would we stay there another time, yes but it was just another Days Inn nothing special.

We did eat at the restaurant. Got the last of the fried clams which were overdone. The lone woman working the restaurant informed us there was a no show and they were understaffed. I did feel for her. Also, the elevator was out of service and we were on the 4th floor. Having booked through Booking.com, we were told by the very bilingual desk clerk, that this meant she could not offer us the courtesy of moving to a lower floor. If you can't give your customers a consistent level of service, don't rent rooms to them, or have the third parties supply a list of all things that will be and may be second rate. I don't sweat the little things in life, but I do notice them. The silver lining, a little exercise is a good thing. Normally I give the days inn a better rating but for the above reasons, I could not.

We stayed overnight at this property. The elevator had just broken down the day we arrived but the stairway was wide and we only had to go up one floor. The room was clean and met our needs. The food was good at the newly operated facility in the hotel.

This property in in bad need of updating. The outside matches the old location of town it is in. There was garbage out front & a container overflowing. The 2 luggage carts were in such poor condition they were about useless. The rooms are dated with no cups/glasses even though there was a coffee maker, along with no Kleenex in the bathroom holder. The room was fairly clean & beds comfy. The reception was friendly & helpful with a quick checkin. The restaurant inside the hotel (Steve’s) & not associated with the hotel, is clean, efficient, good food/service & reasonable pricing. This is a very basic cheapish 1 night stay accommodation with no extras. Unfortunately Dalhousie has few choices to pick from & a depressing city with no tourist points of interest. It is close to The Gaspé Peninsular Region of Quebec if that is your intended destination.

This is a good hotel. Good location and well comfortable. Pretty quiet. The staff has so kindness and the room was cleaned, the bed and sheets are very good. The negative point, there is no free breakfast.
