Teepee Meadows is the perfect getaway! My fiance and I stayed there for a month and had an incredible time in the picturesque farm. Every morning we woke up surrounded by gorgeous mountains and friendly animals. We still dream about this incredible place! And the hosts are so warm and generous that you feel right at home at the farm (not to mention the friendly dogs who will become your instant best friends). The cottages here are warm, comfortable, and have everything you'll need. Don't forget to visit the mini-horse Alimo while you're here too. This place is a must for anyone who likes nature and animals--you won't find a more heavenly place or more gracious hosts!

Warm, friendly, helpful hosts (thanks, Alke and Claude!); cozy farm-style Moose Cottage with all of the equipment we required, and a warmly eclectic decorating style, indoors and out; no noise except for Nature; easy to find, and a small enough set-up that, even full of guests, you wouldn't feel surrounded by strangers (or neighbors, for that matter).

A stroll around the main yard scores with lush comfy lawn for lounging on, in either sun or shade (or sprinkler), conveniently scattered seating, lovely rampant flowering areas, several amazing views, a large, comfortable fowl enclosure (the turkey is king, with his varied chicken, guinea fowl, duck and chicken-cat friends), and pals miniature horse and donkey.

Wander a little farther to the hillside bathtub, with any temperature you like supplied from the house service - take a cooling dip on a hot day, or a hot soak in the evening, and watch while the light leaves the mountains and meadows. A short path down the hill leads to the marsh boardwalk (do NOT stray into the muskeg on either side - but do enjoy the lovely plants); at the end, explore the horse-and-llama paddock. Grey gelding is the friendliest horse I've ever met; brown mare is courteous, and llama is apparently not a morning-mammal - saw him the first evening, but not during our paddock visit in the morning.

It's the perfect jumping-off point for a tour through the Rockies, less than two hours from Jasper (though we explored a lot and made the trip in six). We will be back.

We stayed in moose cottage mid Sept for 3 nights on our trip around the Rockies, thank you Claude and Elka you made us so welcome, we applaude your lifestyle and ethics of life.
The cottage was "quirky" all you could need you had thought of, the bed so cosy and comfy, we slept like logs, no sound no lights.
Your views to gaze at when sipping our sundowners were wonderful, thank you for the moose burgers and the night around the fire with your guitar, the home you have built is amazing, your tales of your travels and family were so interesting.
Valemount has so much to offer, lots of easy walks, we did Cranberry Meadows and Jackman flatts. In easy reach of Mount Robson. Many good Eateries, a supermarket and cafe's.
We highly recommend Teepee meadows. Thanks Claude

It is a wooden place with all kind and of any style used furniture and kitchen ustensils, piled up to the ceiling and sometimes hidden after curtains. It is a dusty and dirty place. In the so-called bathroom is no washbowl, there is no space for it. Wash yourselve in the kitchen-bedroom.
Really a disappointing and expensive place CAD 110/per night.

Response from NolandG, Owner at Teepee Meadows Guest Cottages
Responded Aug 16, 2013
We are truly sorry you don't like cottages, wood, or antique furniture. We've worked hard collecting the decor and finishing all the cabins in wood and everyone else who chooses a "cottage" appreciates this style. We, the owners, clean the cabins ourselves and we do it thoroughly and diligently because our livelihood depends on it. If we missed a spot, please come and tell us and we'll be happy to correct the situation. As for value, a drywall hotel on the highway is twice the price. Thanks for staying with us! Alke & Claude Germain

Travelled with four adults and three children. Great location next to Jasper park with lots to do. We did the Cranberry Marsh walk, went the lake and drove up to the Ancient Forest - which was absolutly amazing!! The kids really enjoyed the animals and running around the grounds. The cabin was pretty good but could do with some serious de-cluttering.
The town is very close with a grocery store and some good restaurants, playgrounds and a nice railroad museum that the kids even liked.

Rustic and farm-like, Teepee Meadows was a great stopover on our road trip. The cottage was funky and pretty comfortable with a home feel. Claude and Alke are very welcoming and can tell you great stories of the history of the farm and surrounding area. Parents with kids who love animals and who are not concerned about big super-friendly dogs or anything but sterile hygiene will HUGELY enjoy this place! Good value.

Where to begin? We had the most amazing stay there. We met the most unique people and felt welcomed and had a hard time to say goodbye. The views all around and character of the farm are hard to describe in words – you must be there to understand. The kids enjoyed the special contact and connection with the animals that they got to pet and feed and even collect eggs - and of course won’t forget the special treatment they got from the two very friendly dogs Gila and Mika/o that refused to leave their side. It was also educating and humbling to see how Elka and Claude work as a team with creativity and dedication. We wish we could go back there. Best memories!

We stayed in Moose Cabin up by the owner's house. Cabin was very clean. We mostly wanted to stay here to experience other than the usual hotel experience, and were glad that we stayed. Lots of farm animals which the owner showed us and told us about. We only stayed one night. Just outside the property we saw deer. Lots of hummingbirds at the feeders and flowers around our cabin. Take the kids/grandkids. No food served, but there was a good restaurant in town for dinner (Caribou Grille) and a good bakery(Swiss Bakery) for breakfast. Cabin had stove, frig, micro, grill, and coffeemaker and dishes. Take mosquito spray for outside. Cabin is air conditioned.
