Twin Peaks Resort is a wonderful place to stay at least five days. There's many atractions around Valemount, and chalets are really nice, confortable and tides. Donna and Sandy our hosts are kindly and friendly people, with their dogs (Orla specially), goats and horses. The spot atmosphere is peaceful, nice view and relaxing!

There are only 5 log cabins here so it is lovely and peaceful. We stayed 2 nights and the most noise was from the humming birds of which there were many (that is not a complaint). It was only booked as a stop off place but we were absolutely bowled over by the beauty of the views. It is self catering but there are restaurants in Valemount and a grocery store that was open until 9.00 in the evening (even on Sunday when we arrived). There was a BBQ on the veranda and a hob and microwave in the kitchenette. Ample cutlery and crockery. Very comfortable beds and a large bathroom, however make sure you do not leave the cabin door open whilst you are sitting on the veranda or the mosquitoes move in. There was a fire in the cabin for in the winter time not relevant for our needs. Really enjoyed our stay

We stayed here for one night, wish we had stayed more. Lovely log cabins, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful owners. If you want some peace and quiet and rest and relaxation this is the place for you. Sit on the veranda and enjoy the sunset over the mountains.

Time frame: June 28-July 1:
1st time staying here on the recommendation of a friend. 4 days 3 Nights.

CONS:

#1: Cabins are too close together. Although you don't hear anything while inside. Outside on the porch you are visible to all cabins (5 in total). This said I understand why they are so close when 1 person runs/cleans the entire place (Donna) so it makes sense.

#2: Airflow - It was +35 and there was no breeze to be found. Even with windows all open I suggest bringing an oscillating fan if you can during the hot months.

#3: Metal BBQ flipper: Lots of utensils in the kitchen, but no metal flipper for burgers.

#4: Brown towels: I do a lot of traveling and brown towel means no bleach. Don't get me wrong, I know they do laundry every day (you see it hanging out), but it's a red flag for me.

#5: Bedroom Blinds: The head of the beds (in our cabin) were against the window. So come 5 am there was light/sun on your face. I suggest bringing eye shades if your light sensitive.

PROS:

#1: Humming birds: There's big trailing petunias hanging off the deck & hummingbird feeders Donna fills up when need be. Hundreds of hummingbirds everyday, within an arms reach. So relaxing.

#2: Cabin supplies: Anything you need pretty much. Pots/pans, utensils, toaster microwave, fridge, stove, pasta strainer, bowls- you name it & it was pretty much there. NOTE: Good to bring/buy: Ice & foil wrap.

#3:The BBQ: Donna scrubs each one after a guest leaves.

#4: The Lodge: If you're looking for a large gather place (weddings, family reunions, etc) you found it. Donna says it sleeps 10 men comfortably, but you can have up to 20 easily with kids. (3 bathrooms).

#5: The POOL: Above ground pool with nice chilly water situated beside the 2 miniature horses on site.

#6 The owner- DONNA: What an amazing women! So friendly and knowledgeable, I left there feeling like she was a friend. Always accessible & willing when needed. I'd come back just to visit her & her 3 dogs (Effie, Piper & Winnie the Pooh).

#7: Beds were very comfortable and clean.

#8: WIFI & Satellite TV were excellent!

#9: Fire Pitts for each cabin (Wood costs $20)

#10: Parking directly behind the cabin for easy hauling.

#11: Tranquility - it's what you make it. It's silence at it's best.

We spent only one night there, but liked the place a lot. A small number of cabins build in a circle -with barbecue on deck as well as a fire-pit - around a lawn. App. 2,5 km from downtown Valemount and in the "woods"- but you are pretty fast in town if you want to. If you like to wake up with birds and see deer etc. and enjoy nice mountain views, this is your place. The cabin is in very good shape, offers all amenities, kitchen, incl. fridge and an electrical fireplace which can be easily lit. Separate living room with TV and a separated bedroom make it a comfortable place to stay in. Owners are very nice. We could have spent some days more here. I find it also a perfect place for kids as there is no road and they have enough room to play and explore.

The cabin was delightfully situated about 3 miles out of Valemount. The setting is wonderful giving space and amazing views. The log cabin was well equipped, clean and spacious for the two of us. We self catered in the evening as we had everything we wanted at the cabin. In town we bought all we wanted at the local store and then beer from the local craft ale brewery across the road. We cooked steaks on the gas BBQ on the patio. The area is great for walking and Mount Robson park is only 30 minutes away. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had booked for longer.

We did a 1 night stop over here on the way to the Rockies and had we had known this place was going to be this amazing we would of stayed for longer even if it was to sit on the porch and look at the amazing view you have there. There are 5 cabins on the property out of town in the forest. The views are of the mountains and there were deer on the lawn at dusk and dawn. The humming birds were everywhere and we had a nice walk around the area and didn't see anyone, it was lovely. The owner was helpful and very friendly. The cabins were clean and large. You had a BBQ, kitchen, pots and pans, wifi, hair dyer, heater and airco. Definitely will stay there again
