When we arrived, we were greeted with such a warm friendly welcome. It was our wedding anniversary trip to Canada, so Dee brought us cute mini champagne bottles as a little celebration which was such a nice gesture.

Our room was on the bottom floor, large and airy looking out over the front lawn and mountains. It was a nice fresh day outside so watching the clouds blow over was such a relaxing end to a day of driving/being in the car. Our room also had an ensuite which was so wonderfully stocked with proper shampoo, soaps and amenities.

Breakfast was fantastic, We had a lovely home made quiche and juice. so yum! We sat at the table in the morning with a lovely couple and their children. It was actually such a nice start to the morning to feel like you were at a friends home. We got chatting and even gave the kids and some amazing s'mores muesli bars I stocked up on in the States prior to Canada. The parents were very thankful given they had a drive ahead of them and Dee joined us all as we packed for the morning, ready to head off on our journeys and saying our goodbyes.

Do stay here if you get the chance! It'll be a beautiful one.

Thanks to the great reviews on here we booked a night and loved it!
The room was lovely and the home well kept. Lots of laughs shared with our Hostess Dee and her sister Wendy!
Breakfast was spectacular, the hostess simply couldn’t have been any better.
We can’t wait to go back!

So you finish your long drive at Valemount BC- population 700, which translates into nothing to do. Well why not watch TV in the living room/dining room with the other guests. Except the TV is so far away from the furniture (which is jammed against the walls about 20-30 feet from the set) the volume has to be turned up so high no one can hear any one. So you go into the bedroom to read and are greeted with no reading lights, one easy chair, and one, are you ready for this, card table folding chair, for the second guest. This place is a bust. No roses anywhere to be seen. Laughable!

The B&B is located just off the main highway , great location . My friend and took the train to Valemount for a reunion of friends for a thanksgiving celebration . When we arrived , I was delighted with this charming place . The mountain views are breathtaking . The proprietor Dee , greeted us with a warm smile as we entered this delightful B&B . I just knew we had chosen the right place . The rooms with the bright colours so welcoming . The bed was very comfortable , did I mention how clean , sparking this place is . That evening we all visited around a warm fire in the main room . The proprietor Dee
informed us about the trails and activities in the area . She also mentioned several good restaurants for supper , a short 10 min walk away . The next morning , I got up early and the coffee was already on , with that warm fire in the main room . I'll end my review with the breakfast ... it was wonderful . Our weekend together with friends was perfect ... Thankyou Dee and the Rose B&B . Definitely return next year ... Otto from Winnipeg

On our way from Edmonton to Kamloops we stopped for the night in Valemount BC.No-one should expect a Bed and Breakfast to be a hotel. However being a B&B is more than setting aside a couple of rooms for guests. On the positive side, the hosts were very pleasant, the bathroom was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice but the coffee was pitifully weak , if a little on the light side. There was no TV in the room and the TV in the common room was adjacent to the hosts' own parlour and there was a doorway (but no door) between them and us so it felt that to watch TV down there would have been an intrusion. We had a good night sleep although there was no air conditionning to cool the room on the second floor.

the place stinks, was not very clean. the owners are rude and seems that they are preaching religion. really close to the highway and you hear lots of road noise. the place is not set up for visiting or watching tv. small set jammed in a corner couch and chair very far away so therefore volume has to be turned up so loud it is a annoyance to others.

This B&B is just off route to, easy to find. There are three en-suite rooms and we had the lovely first floor red room with a very comfy king bed. The yummy breakfast was your choice of omelet or yogurt and granola. Rose Cottage has a new owner as of July 1, 2017, and she has created a comfortable, homey place to stay.

No-one should expect a Bed and Breakfast to be a hotel. However being a B&B is more than setting aside a couple of rooms for guests. On the positive side, the hosts were very pleasant, the bathroom was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also quite nice, if a little on the light side. However, the room was in the attic and was too hot in the early evening and got too cold during the night. I got a terrible night's sleep as a result. It was also rather dated in its decorative style and the lurid shade of purple that the walls were painted was quite unfortunate. There was no TV in the room and the TV in the common room was adjacent to the hosts' own parlour and there was a doorway (but no door) between them and us so it felt that to watch TV down there would have been an intrusion. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom and despite a pleasant conversation on arrival with the hosts, nothing was offered either. I grew up in a B&B and thought that this was really rather poor form. These things don't cost much money but make a big difference.

At breakfast we felt rather pressured into sitting alongside each other as opposed to opposite which felt rather awkward. This awkwardness was increased when we were joined by another couple sitting opposite us at the same table and after a poor night's sleep I wasn't best disposed to making pleasantries. All of this whilst feeling as if one was being hovered over by the hostess. The coffee was pitifully weak and I thought that one toasted slice of bread accompanying the breakfast was a little ungenerous. I was also surprised that the other couple who arrived after us were served first.

The owners are very nice people and I wish them very well in their venture but I think that more thought is required in how they run it.

The couple here could not have been more gracious. We knew that we were going to be late getting in, but the lady stayed up for us. Delicious "English Breakfast" in the morning to start our day. A very nice room to stay in, and the home was easy to find. Valemont is the perfect mid way stop off between Edmonton and Vancouver.
