Ah, the Bear Country! I have many a fond memory of this place. I used to stay here all the time with my grandparents. We were faithful patrons even way back when this place was still called the "Slumber Lodge." Bear Country was our go-to place when staying Terrace because the staff were (and are) friendly; the location is one...

The rooms were basic, but clean and affordable. The motel is located right in the middle of town and easy to drop off the car and walk to shops and restaurants. Staff at the counter were professional and check in was easy. Rate was $120/night which was $20 less than Days Inn or Best Western.

there is breakfast in the restaurant attached but not included in the room, The rooms are average and the walls are thin so hopefully you are not put into a room where people are hanging out in their room with guests. Also if you can try to get a main floor room, as carrying the bags up and down the...

the room was updated with nice enough bedding, (king bed was comfortable) I didn't notice until the next morning (husband's side of bed) had a big brown stain on the bed cover. It was very disappointing - so everything I've read about the bed covers in hotels are true. I spoke with front counter staff to advise them that housekeeping...

Recently renovated room, comfortable beds, economical , close to downtown, pubs. Had breakfast at the restaurant which was very good, and great service. Room price was approx $100 which was competitive for terrace.

Stayed here one night which was enough. The main room had been updated with new furniture but the wall was still full of holes from the replaced headboard and lamp fixtures. Also the the bathroom is badly in need of refreshing. I hopped into the shower and was part way through when I noticed dark black head hair all over...

The start of our trip was awful as we're here for medical we got to the hotel at about 10 we come to check in and the guy ignores us for 15 minutes then finally he addresses my mom but doesn't say hello or welcome he says very rudely "we check in at 1" we were a little upset because...

Stayed here for two nights (snow storm forced second night). Actually, the reason I give them 3 stars instead of 2 is because they WERE accommodating to the stranded guests. This is a dated motel (but in a good downtown location) wherein I found that you do not only hear the guests on either side... you also hear the guests...

Have stayed here before but the rooms have certainly deteriorated. The room was dark, the bathtub looked like it was recycled with lots of stains, finish missing and just did not look clean (although with the shape it was in, I doubt it ever would look clean). The TV was worn out and the picture was so dark it was...

“Choose for a top floor, the TV reception is best. The maids are not room service (which is what I found out the hard way), but they do carry extra coffee and are willing to part with a few extras by request. Alll in all a friendly staff.”
