The staff are very friendly especially the restaurant staff in the restaurant you can sit in or out to see the mountains and lake area the food is very high quality and the family platter is definitely a bargain!

The room has a great balcony showing off the mountains the beds are also very comfy. The room has a kitchen area, fridge, oven, cups etc. Also the lift goes to the underground parking but there is lost of room for parking outside as well.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views. Our queen suite with onsite laundry was huge - a full 1 bedroom apartment. The facilities of the hotel looked really good - we did not use as only on a 1 night stop over. A little further out of town than I imagined (have never been to this area before), however, we had a car so this was not an issue. I also did not realise how close it was to Whistler. We had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. I would highly recommend staying here, even doing day trips to Whistler. We were in room 317 with views over the pond and mountain ranges. A lovely quiet peaceful place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable hotel. The kitchen and living room had everything we needed, and included a private balcony with table and four chairs, with mountain views. We could stream Netflix and Prime from our ipad on the living room TV. One of the bedrooms had an ensuite, and the other bathroom was available for all to use. Kitchen has a dishwasher and washer/dryer, which would have been handy had we stayed longer.

Good room, very clean and good cleaning staff. Views are nothing spectacular. Restaurant prices for breakfast are exorbitant. Very repetitive lunch and dinner menu with no specials. Same menue for noon and dinner, no desert menu. Quality of food not worth the price. 'Family style' beef brisket platter, although seemingly cooked days in advance and then reheated, was tasty and one of the better items. The fish and chips were not consistently cooked. Sometimes it was mushy and other times nice and crispy.

The regular price for raw oysters on the shell (which were beautufully served) cost $3.00 each. The lobby poster advertises fresh oysters for only $1.00 during happy hour but inside the restaurant/bar, they charge you $1.50 for each oyster.

The restaurant service was quite spotty: sometimes bright and cheerful and other times surley or absent.

Heaven help you, if even when the restaurant is empty, you move a chair or table to accommodate your group. The food manager will become irritated and display an irritability and unwillingness to accommodate the hotels guests.

During happy hour, they offer several beers on tap at a reduced price. However, if they have run out of one of the beers offered (an IPA), they won't substitute even if they have others already on tap.

Lastly, someone put slips of paper in the rooms with a QR code, suggesting that you tip the hotel staff.

First the good points, friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen area in rooms, comfortable bed and pleasant pool area.

On the downside the bedroom was barely big enough for the bed and the a/c units, although efficient, were the old fashioned noisy type.

A particular problem in the room we had 108 (and probably also 107) is that right under the room is a roller garage door to the underground car park. The door is noisy and started operating around 6 am each day. As we were waking early due being still on UK time this didn’t matter greatly but if you don’t like waking early avoid those rooms and ask for rooms facing away from the road.

Overall difficult to justify the cost (over CA$400 per night when we stayed) but the facilities themselves would suit anyone wanting to have kitchen and washing availability.

My husband wanted to take me away for my birthday and first Mother's Day. On Mother's Day breakfast our server was visibly hung over and when she gave us our food with no cutlery I had to go inside and look for her to get some. By the time she brought it to us our food was cold. The restaurant is having a soft opening but even the coffee was terrible. The power went out in the middle of the night and when it came back on the TV came on and woke up our 8 month old baby. Than as we were checking out the elevator wasn't working (with no signage!) so we had to carry our baby, fully loaded stroller and bags down two flights of stairs. When I told them at the front desk they didn't seem to care, didn't seem to care when I informed them there was no signage to inform guests and that this was difficult with a 8 month old baby. They didn't ask our room number or even ask if they could assist or help us. Due to this chaos we left our babies toy under the couch. I called right away when I got home and spoke to someone who again didn't seem to care. No one bothered to call us back. When I called back a week later to follow up someone did eventually call me back and told me housekeeping didn't find it. When you travel with a children's toy it is obviously a favourite and to have no one to bother call us back shows the lack of care. To have them throw it out after the chaos of having the power go out in the middle of the night leaves a bad taste to a Mother's Day weekend. The only redeeming quality is that it is set in a beautiful location but you can find the beauty of Squamish without the horrendous service at this hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Got a two room suite since it was us and three kids which gave us plenty of room to spread out. We love hotel rooms with a kitchen but the in-suite laundry and massive balcony looking up at the mountains was an added bonus. Abundant on-site parking and the on site pool was a good size and the hot tub was nice too. No free breakfast but the on site restaurant ("Free Bird") was fine. Food was average but what was amazing was sitting on the patio and enjoying some apps and drinks while the kids were able to run around in the open space next to the hotel. The quiet time was priceless. We'd stay again for sure.

I've stayed at this resort several times previously when skiing at Whistler, just because of the price and accommodations. Love the ability to cook my own meals vs. spend a fortune at Whistler village. Kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils and cleaning staff does a tremendous job making sure everything is spotless for new guests. Indoor parking garage makes early departures for the trip to Whistler great. Hot tub and pool both are nice, though I wish the hot tub were bigger, since it can get busy.

I stayed at this hotel as it was very close to a family member's home (visiting for a birthday). The location was nice (very pretty views on the mountain side) and convenient to the local shops and such, but the hotel experience itself was very disappointing for what I paid. For a $200+ a night hotel, I wouldn't have expected to have to walk out in the rain to access the restaurant attached to the hotel (turns out it's different owners), the restaurant staff were nice but there was a tiny menu and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned from the night before. I also got charged a $12 per night "amenities" fee on top of the hotel room, for WiFi/parking/fitness centre/pool (I only used the WiFi), which I wasn't thrilled with. And I got locked out of my room before checkout (before the 11am checkout time), so I had to waste the last few minutes I had with my family (we hadn't seen each other since before the pandemic), going back and forth around the hotel to go to the front desk, wait for a new room key, go back upstairs to get my luggage so I could check out... I was highly unamused. Some of my family's rooms weren't super clean, one was kept awake by the very loud elevator across from her room, and one other was kept awake by the loud music from the restaurant/pub below (and then was blamed by the front desk for not reporting the loud music at the time, instead of the next day like she did as she didn't want to use the room phone and wake up others in the suite). It was a very meh experience, for not a meh price.

My partner had surgery booked in Squamish so we decided to go up a day earlier and stay a day later. When we arrived at the Executive Suites we were greeted warmly and professionally by Paula. No one helped us with our bags. The hotel uses similar (old) baggage carts as the ones used in airports. When we entered our first floor room we commented to each other that it had an odour. We opened the balcony door, which barely had a lock that worked, to air out the room and later went for a late lunch. Upon returning we could still smell something so we called the front desk to be moved.

We were moved next door and there was no odour in this room. However, all night long the fridge clicked and popped so we had to close the bedroom door to get some sleep. In the morning we saw a mouse scurry in the kitchen cupboard when we opened it to place something in the garbage. This being the day of the scheduled surgery we had to decide whether to stay or leave the hotel. Mandeep, the manager, said she’d put us in yet another room which they had inspected carefully for us. Going back home was too much for the day we had ahead of us so we decided to stay. The third room on the second floor was fine so I moved all our stuff again, without assistance.

The Executive Suites Squamish was built in 2008, and it needs a refresh. Its interiors are dark with a lot of brown with no connection at all to the mountain and outdoor environment in which it is situated. Every piece of furniture and wall paint is scuffed or scratched. The rooms never felt like they were very clean. Every bathroom had wood that had suffered water damage and the walls had many issues with peeling paint. The shower head sprayed water so hard we hardly could put our face into the spray.

We booked the hotel stay in Squamish to reduce the stress of having to travel outside of our city for surgery but it ended up being stressful and totally unenjoyable. We were relieved to hear from Mandeep that upon inspection hotel staff had also smelled an odour in the first room (who is responsible for quality control before a guest uses a room?). When moving us to the third room Mandeep offered a 50% reduction in the first night room charge plus no amenity fees. I told her we weren’t paying for a room that first had an offensive odour, and second, had a mouse in the cupboards. Mandeep commented that it was not unusual for a first floor room to have an issue with mice which I told her that such a conversation that was a non-starter. I refused to pay for the first night so Mandeep acquiesced and removed the first night room charge and the amenity fees.

We do not recommend the Executive Suites Squamish unless you are looking for a two star hotel that charges almost $200 a night for a dismal room. I wished I had read the reviews more closely before booking. It is clear that the General Manager of the Executive Suites has no idea how to run a hotel as our review reflects concerns that have been raised for years.
