Our room was outdated but others had nicer updated rooms with laminate flooring. Our old nasty carpet room is hopefully next on the list! Breakfast was good. Unfortunately the pool was being renovated which is probably why the rates were so cheap. Beds were comfortable.
We have stayed at this hotel when passing through for 15 years. Always clean and lovely staff. Close to the water park and to Mr Mikes as well as the casino and laundromat across the highway. See you next year
pulled back the sheets and there were black hairs, black hair on bath room floor, carpet did not looked like it had been vacuumed in weeks, pool down, hot tub down, ice machine down, overall disappointing at best for a BW branded hotel.
Overall the hotel was comfortable and the beds very good. No pool available, maybe something for the hotel to note in their facilities section. The rooms are quiet dispite the Railroad being just out back and nothing heard between rooms even with roudy hockey kids on all sides. Also, Pet Friendly for those traveling with furbabies.
On my way from Vancouver to South Edmonton, in late December, through snow and an ice storm, my vehicle broke down 20 minutes outside of Sicamous, BC. I was able to limp the SUV back to Salmon Arm for repairs, and the Best Western (which was the closest hotel to the dealership), took us in for the 4 days it took to get parts/repaired and be on the road again. Everyone was wonderful. The room was a Queen bed, with a couch and a large bathroom. We also had a huge TV, microwave and a good size fridge with freezer top. Plenty of room for one person and a small dog to enjoy while we waited. The cleaning staff checked on me daily for any needs, the front desk staff were helpful and kind and continued to allow me to extend my stay until I was able to leave. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The hospitality was great. And for those who have a vehicle -- parking is free. Plus, there is breakfast available.…
Unfortunately the rooms were really poorly cared for. The carpet was in horrible shape. The shower head was spraying water all over the bathroom. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room was quiet, seemed to be well sound proofed but it also was not very busy there at the time. The staff was lovely however and very helpful.
As you know driving across Canada in the winter can be quite challenging,. rest assured that when you have the best western APP its the easiest and most convenient way to book a room especially when the the weather cna change suddenly needing you to change plans accordingly,. Best western definitely the best hotel experience i have had over the years traveling across Canada for business
Place was dirty on the outside. no flowers old in need of repair. walkways railings were gross. rooms were dark uninviting. dirty windows old linens. place could use a wash down coat of paint . visually outside no appeal. a few flowers a wash down . Poor quality for the Best Western name. Don't stay here
Girl at the front desk was extremely slow during check in, and then told us our room would be ready late. Not really what you want to hear after a 7 hour drive. When trying to take a shower the next morning, discovered there was no hot water. Called the front desk and they told us it was broken for everyone and they weren't sure when it would be fixed. Also not what you want to hear after a 7 hour drive.
great value for longer stays, as breakfast is awesome, it is an older place that needs upgrades, but its quiet and comfy, staff are all great and wanting to help with anything. great location, with restaurants and pubs close, and a casino across the street if you want a fix,
