Detailed Reviews
Decided to check in to this hotel on our drive back from Calgary to BC and was really pleased with our choice. The hotel is only a year old and you can tell by the carpets and room smell that it’s really well maintained. No stinky odour unlike the Hampton Inn in Kamloops. The rooms were spacious and the linens were soft and fresh. You can tell they chose quality cotton for their sheets and towels. The staff were also friendly and professional throughout our stay.
Lots of great restaurants close by as well so grabbing a bite to eat is not an issue.
Will definitely stay here again on our next road trip.

A very clean, comfortable and new hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
My rating of 4 star is due to having no restaurant/bar on site (standard with Fairfield's), bottled water was an additional charge and a few MINOR mentions below.
Look to turn the shower on by pulling the tub spout! Lol
Another hook or two in the bathroom would be convenient, oh...and if engine brakes aren't your lullaby, suggest asking for a room on the back side of the hotel as the front faces the highway.
One more comment about the layout, would be to have an outlet on the second nightstand as well. However great configuration with the USB ports combined the power outlets in office area as well.
Otherwise the room was very spacious and definitely accommodated my travel needs for the 3 nights.

We stayed here to break up our road trip home. The hotel from first impression was that it was cleanly, staff was accommodating & friendly, it was quiet and not busy at all. They have ample parking, even charging poles for EV cars. If you have a Tesla, there is a specific charging station for 2 cars. Parking is free. They has a good selection of breakfast buffet items and bonus, it’s complimentary. The only complaint we had was that the hot tub was out of service and by no fault of their own. Seeing that it is a small town and it was a Sunday they probably didn’t have same day service to fix it. It just sucked to not be able to soak in a hot tub to relax after a long drive. Otherwise everything else was great. Keep in mind the pool is open from 8am to 10pm but the slide shuts down at 9pm. We wished had arrived earlier and not on a Sunday, as there were a lot of shops and places we wanted to explore in the area. Majority of restaurants and shops were closed on a Sunday. But they have a farmer’s market, but that was only from 9am-1pm on Sundays. There was also a waterfront pier that we wanted to check out and enjoy, but couldn’t because of our arrival time. We will definitely be back next time & will plan accordingly. Perfect for families!

This is a standard roadside hotel - nothing special and certainly not worth the $400/night we were charged.
For $400/night you would expect a view of something more than the curved roof of the hotel entrance.
For $400/night you wouldn't expect to have to ask for a bath towel to be brought to the room because there was only 1 in the bathroom.
For $400/night you wouldn't expect to have to take out the used coffee pod before making a cup of coffee in the morning.
The room is only worth the $219 that was posted on the back of the door in the room. When asked why they have rates posted on room doors that they obviously don't honor all you get is a shrug from the front desk staff.
This is called taking advantage of travellers and reflects poorly on the Fairfield Inn brand and unfortunately on the town of Salmon Arm.

We were on a road trip in the summer and was trying to find a place to stay last min. We found the Fairfield in Salmon Arm, we booked online through their website. Super easy and a really good rate for last min. On arrival we met some of the nicest staff who was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We were heading to a birthday party and had a slide (in a box) in the car they offered to store in a storage room for us. We declined because we did not want to be a pain especially how we were leaving early.
This hotel is in a wonderful location right off the highway. They have lots of amenities, a full gym, free breakfast starting at 6:30am, indoor pool & hot hub. There was no restaurant on site but they did have a spot you could get beverages and snacks for a small fee. This hotel is beautiful it seemed brand new and was extremely clean. We ended up with a 2 queen room. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and I have spine problems. I slept like a baby. Wifi was really good for being a hotel, my spouse managed to work for a few hours with no issues. The bathroom was large enough room for 2 people to get ready at the same time without bothering each other. AC worked very well. Honestly, I wish I could have had another night here. Next time we are passing through I will be booking here again!

For a newer global hotel, I expected more. The room was plain, nothing special at all. The floors and walls seem to be pretty thin as all I heard all night were the herds of cattle above me.
Breakfast was lame. The same powdered eggs, greasy fatty sausages, make your own waffles, dry muffins, etc..over the three days we stayed there. But the thing that was the worst, was that you had to sign up to become a member just to get free wifi. Every other hotel offers it without strings attached. They must be desperate to push this policy. Won’t do this again.

I got in Salmon Arm late and tired after driving up from Vancouver. There are no words to describe how sweet, happy and helpful the lady on the front desk was. I think if anyone had a complaint about this location, it would have to be a personal issue I’ve personally traveled globally and hands down this was a very clean and warming experience.
A full 10 out of 10.

Our bowling team thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay during the BC Senior Games. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the complimentary breakfast envied a cruise ship's morning buffet, the housekeeping staff is exemplary - providing spotless rooms, and extras, as needed when 5 women share 2 rooms! As a Marriott-Bonvoy member, I enjoyed the available discounts, and the genuine hospitality of the front desk team. Highly recommended, assisting us in every way possible to achieve our MEDAL win!

Don't waste your money. The staff were not welcoming, in fact the front desk was short when we showed up to check in. I was snipped at saying "your room probably isn't ready so you CAN'T check in anyway " . I did inform them that I just wanted to check in and if the room wasn't ready it was OK but I just wanted the check in process to be done.
The doors don't have hinges that prevent them from slamming so be prepared to hear guests slamming doors at all hours of the night like we did at 1am.
DON'T get a room anywhere near the freeway unless you enjoy hearing semi's with their Jake breaks going all night!
The worst part of the stay was the lack of cleanliness of the room. Bathroom fan was black with filth, toilet seat hinges had urine around them and the beds had black hairs in them. Once the bed was turned down for the night we found several hairs near the inside foot of the bed! Both queen beds were the same.
We were told we'd get a credit for it which is nice but I'm sorry but that kind of filth is not acceptable even if the room was free. We will not be returning on our next trip.

Great hotel. Beds were comfy. Suite was large. Lots of little touches that shows that the little things were thought about in the construction of the hotel. Air Conditioning worked perfect. Very clean. Suite was really one large room separated by about 4 ft walls that came out from each side of the room. Perfectly fine for our needs but not private rooms if that’s what you’re looking for. All the staff were very friendly. No restaurant but again, not a concern for us. Breakfast is a minimal Grab and Go style - I’m assuming due to Covid. Worked just fine for our needs though.
My one recommendation would be, figure out a way to compensate for the douchey people who think emptying the hotel ice machines for their beach coolers is a good idea 🤦🏻♀️
Perhaps some pre-bagged ice in the lobby.
Hubby is a pilot and says this location is one of the nicest in the country. Thanks for an enjoyable two night stay. We’ll definitely be back.
