The Hilltop Inn is the best hotel I've been to in a very long time. We stopped there for one night on a two day road trip to visit relatives and were so impressed we also booked the same hotel on our way back. Normally we'd stay in a different town on the return trip.
All staff were super helpful, courteous, and friendly. The clerk after seeing the size of our family upgraded us to a king room which was extremely appreciated. The room was gorgeous, large and very clean. The kids were super excited to have their own king sized bed. The complimentary breakfast was quite good, and I was surprised at the options available when compared to other complimentary breakfasts I've been offered before. Highly recommend. This hotel has become my got to for when we are out this way

My husband and I stayed for two nights end of June/early July 2020. We chose the hotel because of the pool and it did not disappoint. It is spacious, clean and a good temperature. The row of fountains positioned all down the length pool do wonders to sound dampen both road noise and kiddos having fun in the water.

The room was better than expected for a budget-minded hotel with recently renovated shower, comfy beds, mini fridge, microwave and good sized tv. We liked that the patio door to access the pool worked with the room key fobs for easy access.

The hotel is offering a served breakfast in this time of COVID restrictions and the staff here work really hard to make sure the guests are safe and have everything they need. Please don't forget to tip them.

Walking distance into town if you don't want to drive, and there is a pedestrian underpass between the property and school to get across the busy highway.

Lastly, a big thank you to Brendan at the front desk for being so helpful during our stay.

My husband and I recently spent a night at the Hilltop Inn over the August long weekend as a stopover on our way further south. The room we were in was supposed to have two queen beds but it appeared they were just doubles, which was fine for us. The room was exterior access and the stairs walking up to it were rusted and slanted, again not a big deal but not very appealing, and not expected for $200 a night. The room itself was fine, dated but appeared clean. There wasn't anything overly great or terrible about it, it was fine for a one night stop but for the price and the condition I don't think I would spend any more time there than that.

We did have breakfast included, however, due to COVID the line was out the door when we went to eat at 9AM so we cannot comment on the restaurant.

The sign under the hotel name advertises that they have duvets - ?!?
Room was not cleaned thoroughly, air conditioner had lots of dust on it, patio chairs on balcony were old, rusty and dirty.
Room had a unique combo stove, fridge & sink from (I think) the 80s.
Outside stairs are old, rusty and made of ashphalt(!).
Walls are quite thin and carry noise at night.
Because of COVID, breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns) was served from serving trays with no sneeze cover, and no heating (sterno) so our food was cold.
The pool is very big, and if you have children (we didn't) it may be worthwhile to stay here.

In June, I booked a pet friendly room online and then messaged the hotel directly to confirm that we reserved a pet friendly room. I did not hear back but I wasn't too concerned as I always book pet friendly hotel rooms and have never had a problem. I emailed the hotel again, 2 weeks before our trip to confirm our room. The emailed back immediately and said that because we booked through Expedia, we didn't get a pet friendly room reserved and a warning that next time, if we book a room with them again, we shouldn't book online but directly with the hotel. I called Expedia for help and they called the hotel on my behalf. After 15 minutes, Expedia told me that unfortunately the hotel booked my family into a regular room, not a pet friendly like requested, and now they are fully booked up. Horrible customer service from this hotel. I will never try staying here again

My Sister, Mom and I stayed here in June 2020 to celebrate my Mom's 81st Birthday. Before arrival, I requested front desk to do something in the room to surprise my mom upon arrival, they were not able to do it due to Covid so in return they upgraded us to a suite off the pool. That was so kind and generous of them and was much appreciated. It was the most amazing stay ever right from the check in by Wade, he was a great Front Desk Clerk, 10/10 stars for him! The suite was beautiful, the pool was absolutely breathtaking and incredible!! It was a HUGE bonus to just walk out our room right to the pool. We did feel truly like we were in a tropical resort in Mexico. We had a menu to chose from for Breaky (free btw) with limited options but still excellent choices. The service and food was outstanding and TONS of it. We had a full breaky, Bacon/eggs/toast/hashbrowns,and Pancakes and fruit. It was 5 Star forsure. I have wanted to stay here for years, but never had an opportunity until this past summer. I will DEFINATELY be back and highly recommend. June was the perfect month for it was still offseason, reasonable price and less busy in the pool area. After our stay there, I told my friends about it and they went and stayed for their wedding anniversary and loved it just as much as we did. Thank you again for making my Mom's 81st Birthday a beautiful, memorable experience and for the top notch service all around :)

Hilltop switched rooms on us. The Executive room is what we reserved, the room we got was # 126. None of the photos on the site were what awaited us when we opened the door.
It was a complete dive dog scratches on the walls, musty air. The counter had bread crumbs on top, dried milk stains as well. There was a mildew mold smell. The air conditioner was on its last legs, as it was sputtering warm air.
The bathroom was something one would find in the bates motel, disgusting and filthy.
The switcheroo, only lasted 5 minutes as we left this decrepit so called room to get a full refund. While asking about the room, the attendant would not look up.
This place is a run down dump, to deceive the unknowing, is suspect and criminal.

The hotel needs some major improvements. It is old and needs some deep cleaning. There was no Kleenex in the bathroom or the room. Bathroom had no vent fan. The worst was the blood stains on the duvet. The sheets were clean but the way the hotels make beds, you are exposed to the other people dirt as the duvet has no cover only the flat sheet. It is pretty disgusting. How often these duvets are washed? Probably never. We end up using our own blanket. Our room was facing the highway so very noisy. The rooms by the pool are perhaps better choice.
To walk to the town you need to go under the highway by the tunnel. It was dirty and dark. Some person was sitting in it so we tried to cross the highway instead but that was also too dangerous as it was very busy in both directions. Myself and my son went back to the tunnel and tried to look very brave. The guy sitting there had a knife and pretended to be fixing his bike. In the dark tunnel ! If the hotel wants people to use this tunnel, they should clean it once in a while and maybe install some lightning for the security. The staff was pleasant and helpful but we will never go back to this place. For over $200 per night you should expect better.

We were impressed when they upgraded us for free to a larger room with a pool view at their suggestion! We really enjoyed the larger space and fridge/microwave. The kids LOVED the pool and the grounds are really nice with lots of flowers, plants growing. WIth COVID restrictions, they still offered a hot breakfast included in the price of our stay. A good value. Everyone treated us very well and we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others! Thank you!

Rooms we quite dirty and dark.
Absolutely nowhere to put anything in the bathroom or shower. Bath towels were not much larger than the size of hand towels.
Our daughter enjoyed the pool but it was not as
nice as in the photos and quite crowded.
The screen in our room was half ripped off so room had lots of bugs
The AC was very very loud and when we turned it off to be able to sleep there was a banging in the walls all night long that kept us up. We mentioned it upon checkout and it was brushed off with a shrug as “someone had a hot shower and it was the pipes”. So I said All night??? Hmmm. Maybe this hotel needs some work then?
Breakfast was disgusting
Way over priced.
Will not return or recommend this hotel to others
