The Glacier House Resort was an awesome place to stay for our 3 day BC getaway. 10 minute drive from downtown Revelstoke, with biking trails and a waterfall walking distance from the resort. The room was spacious for a family of 4 and the complimentary breakfast was on point for great start before exploring Revelstoke and the hiking/biking trails. We went in summer but would love to stay here in winter as the pictures make it look like a winter wonderland.
We will definitely stay here again!

We had a pleasant and fun stay at Glacier House Resort and would highly recommend this resort. The room was big and clean, with a lovely fireplace and a large patio overlooking a grassy, treed area with a view of the mountains. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio very much. We appreciated all of the social distancing measures in place for COVID-19, including the pool and hot tub being available for private bookings (for free) to avoid contact with others. We loved having half an hour to enjoy the pool by ourselves. The breakfast was also great, with individually wrapped items available to avoid shared surfaces. Overall we felt that this was very good value for an enjoyable stay.

Glad that we didnt pay attention to the other reviews before coming here! My partner and I both loved it (as did our cat and dog) and can't wait to come back.We were only supposed to stay the one night but decided to stay for two after loving it so much. The location is wonderful. We loved our cabin (108)...I know I've seen some reviews about the cabins being a bit outdated and yeah they're not decorated like The Hilton but they were what you want a cabin to look like in my opinion! The beds and pillows were super comfortable, futon could use an upgrade but it didnt affect us. Most importantly, the cabin was absolutely SPOTLESS. We noticed an ant or two in the bathroom but again, it's a wood cabin and these things are expected. Everything was incredibly clean-cant say this enough! Mini fridge and coffee maker were great. We know to call ahead of time (48hrs prior) if we want the hot tub to be prepped...cant wait to do this next time as the hot tub is a huge plus. Tonnes of privacy as well. Cynthia at the front desk was also very attentive to our every need and incredibly accommodating on all levels. The breakfast room has an unreal view of the mountains and breakfast was a light one- a variety of juices, bagels/toast, fruit and coffee/tea but pretty decent seeing as to how the full breakfast isnt currently available. Look forward to returning and taking advantage of the ATV rentals!

My boyfriend and I had to stay here because we were stuck in Revelstoke due to a road closure. I have to say that Cynthia at the front desk is great, very friendly and helpful.
We went to the bar to for dinner and ended up waiting over 2 hours for our meal - other people that ordered after us were getting their food before us and it turns out that our server forgot to punch our order in. We got our food to go because we were tired, both of our steaks were cooked well done and we both asked for medium rare, it was supposed to come with veggies and neither of us got veggies. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms and we got chopped up mushrooms in a cream sauce. It was all basically inedible.
Our room was also dirty there was garbage under the beds from pervious guests and there was used coffee kcups that were put back in the holder - makes a person wonder if the sheets in the bed were clean.
Also zero hot water to our room, and we both showered in luke warm almost cold water.
There isn’t much soundproofing because we woke up to the sound of the guest next to us vomiting.
I let the front desk staff know about the dirty room upon checkout and wasn’t offered any kind of reimbursement on our room which was $355 after tax. For that kind of money I’d expect a clean room and hot water.
It’s a shame because the resort is in a very pretty location however after this experience we would never consider returning.

Thank you for your comments - and I would like to start by sincerely apologising for your poor experience. Both the kitchen and the housekeeping have been informed, and retrained, after this experience and they are well aware of your comments as we are unsure as to how things were missed under the beds, as well as the kcups - but we will certainly be more observant in the future. But I assure you the sheets are changed at every check out, and the rooms are vacuumed an d bathrooms cleaned - it seems they were amiss to check under the bed. Due to your noticing the water issue - we have since replaced one of our 300litre tanks as we discovered it to have failed and mixing with the hot water from our second 300litre tank - so I thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Just got back from another great stay at the Glacier House Resort, I returned for an annual snowmobile trip with friends, this was my 6th year in a row staying at Glacier House, and every year it gets better. This past year there have been a number of improvements to the resort, including updated rooms in the main lodge with brand new super comfy beds , new carpeting throughout, and the bar in the basement has been renovated.

We had no issues with our rooms, and I found the rooms to be very quiet, a friend of mine was in the room next to me and he snores very loudly, I did not hear a thing in my room. I had no issues with hot water, and the food in the bar was great, all of the meals I had were very good.

We were booked in with Great Canadian Tours which is located right on the property for our snowmobiling tours. As usual you are riding brand new sleds which is a real bonus, and the guides were top notch once again. The conditions right now are out of this world, we have never that much fresh powder to ride in.

Can’t wait to return next year.

Thanks for the comments and feedback - we do always try to make improvements annually, and sometimes they do go unnoticed. This year, with the rooms especially - we have been able to afford a noticable improvement. Great to know that Great Canadian is out performing itself yet again also! See you next year!

Glacier House is just a little way outside of downtown Revelstoke, providing a world of its own nestled amongst the mountains, feels like an oasis after a long day's drive. Cynthia and Daniel were extremely helpful, answering questions prior to booking and providing assistance and directions onsite. Lovely large rooms in log-cabin style building, surrounded by individual family cabins. We had second floor room with king size bed, gas fireplace and private deck. Nice to have option to use the swimming pool and hot tub (needed to be reserved) and continental breakfast was included. Restaurant closed due to Covid so headed 10 minutes into Revelstoke for dinner, had several great meals there (the Quartermaster, Parmajit's Kitchen). Also took advantage of Glacier House's Canoe Rentals, and enjoyed a quiet paddle on the lake. Would recommend for those who don't want to overnight in the town... very quiet and scenic on the mountain!

we stayed in cabin 109 and really enjoyed the our 2 nights. the grounds are just gravel and local vegetation, but know this will be covered when the main season starts after a big snow fall and i can only imagine how nice it looks from your own hot tub on the porch with its big overhanging roof. the cabin inside was really comfortable and spacious, the beds?...one of the best sleep i've had. the floors are heated and the mini kitchenette really helped. bathroom was big and good water pressure for an after hike shower.
glad they are dog friendly and with laminate flooring, easy to swiffer my pups fur up. check-in was quick and fast just like checking out and the continental breakfast was all we needed, though we had our own means of getting breakfast.

we'll be back!

Really if your going snowmobiling and want to ride from your door in the region this is it. You can ride both Boulder and Frisby ridge from your door
The Sleds they rent are well maintained and look new
The breakfast spread is more than I eat at home and the food at the bar is pretty good.
I have stayed in the cabins over the years as well as the hotel and like them both.
I recommend this place also to corporate groups as they can cater to meetings and funtions

My family and I came out to Revelstoke to ski for 3 days at the end of February and stayed in cabin 104 at the resort. Our cabin was rustic and right on the verge of being run down. The kitchen was not equipped to cook anything other than a very basic meal ie we cooked steaks on the bbq and there are no sharp knives to cut meat and no corkscrew to open wine. There is a 2 cm gap under our front door letting the cold mountain air blow in. We blocked this with a towel. If you are a skier and want to get to the hill for 8:15 you will have a hard time doing so as breakfast doesn’t open until 7:30. The location is nice the staff are friendly and we did enjoy our stay I just feel the upkeep and attention to detail are maybe not up to standard for the price.

This place is simply magical, with its cabins and all the snow surrending them. We really loved our cabin experience, so spacious and pratical. The place is really well taken care of and has a lot of charm. The best was the private hot tub just by the cabin, wow! Really good option when travelling in groups or if you want to try snowmobile as the access to the mountain with Great Canadian Tours is right on site.

Hi Beverley! We are delighted you are considering staying at Glacier House Resort. A Large Family Cabin with kitchen is $280 per night, excluding tax, but including a light continental breakfast. Additional usage fees for your own private hot tub may apply, or you can use our main hot tub at no extra charge. Our large cabins all have different bedroom and sleeping arrangements, so the best thing to do would be to contact us directly and talk to a Front Desk Agent who can find out exactly what you need and find you the perfect cabin for your requirements. We look forward to hearing from you soon! All the best, Rachel
