The Grizz Hotel opened in September 2019, in that time it has undergone renovations both inside and out. All the rooms were renovated at the start of 2020 including new bathrooms. We now also serve the Wing n' it franchise in both our onsite pub (the Last Drop pub) as well as our restaurant, where hotel guests can enjoy a 15% discount on food. Rooms come with a fridge, cable TV, air conditioning and WiFi access. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available anytime in the lobby. The Grizz Hotel is situated in downtown Revelstoke just a few minute walk away from many different restaurants, cafes and stores and also a short walk away from the Colombia River Greenbelt. We offer competitive rates and look forward to welcoming you in the near future.

I can only echo what others have said- the creaky floorboards and the fact that you almost hear every word of what people upstairs say spoil everything, especially any sleep! It will tell you in very small print when you check in that the room ( assuming downstairs) might have some noise from upstairs. We were assured by the receptionist that this was minimal and there was no-one booked in above us anyway. They were.
The rest of the hotel we thought was great. The reception area and corridors are quirky and we had a fabulous meal in the restaurant. The continental breakfast was actually good considering it was included. If it weren’t for the lack of sleep, it would have been great value for money.
The staff were friendly and the manager was apologetic and offered us money off our next stay but we live in the UK! He said it’s too costly to replace the floorboards.

All this considered you would expect to see a price that’s reflective. NOPE. We paid 240/CAN, which was ridiculous and a reflection of greedy owners capitalizing when people have to book there as a last resort because all the decent hotels get booked first.

Check in was great and the front desk agent was very kind and helpful in the afternoon.

Bathroom wasn’t bad aside from toothpaste marks all over the mirror and dusty. The shower was amazing with the rainfall heads.
The bed frames are the cheap wheel ones on hardwood flooring... every time you roll in the bed the bed rolls with you. The floor looks beat up from the wheels, if only they had rubber castors for under the wheels.
Floor was dirty upon entering, with lots of dirt and little pebbles. We had the joy of an alarm going off from 2-6am, no phones in the room so can’t call front desk, and when calling off a cell phone they wouldn’t answer.
The free breakfast was okay aside from them serving expired milk and didn’t really seem to care. They let people bare foot in the food area so it’s safe to say you’ll lose your appetite real fast seeing hairy gross feet. Asked the blond front desk agent a question in the morning and seemed like we really ruined her time scrolling on her phone.
Don’t expect your room to be made up either after a day on the hill. Clearly the housekeeping staff had a long night out last night, couldn’t even make up our room aside from taking our dirty cups (but couldn’t give us new ones) and give us towels. Asked front desk two times about getting our room made up and never happened, except the two snarky RA’s coming by and practically throwing towels at us. Couldn’t even empty the trash bin. Glad I worked in house keeping as i had to make our own beds up after a long day on the hill - really enjoyable to be doing on my vacation. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and don’t plan on coming back

Nice clean hotel - spacious and comfortable bed (I need a good firm bed for my back); also spacious bathroom. Our room was indicated as "susceptible to noise" on the reservation platform, but we didn't find any disturbing noise. Very good location - 2 min drive from city centre, restaurants, etc or a comfortable 5-min walk. Unpretentious hotel - with a pub-like restaurant that serves a small selection of food like chicken wings, fries, etc Highly recommend for a short stay.

We stayed at The Grizz and were very disappointed, the hotel room itself was clean and staff were friendly. The issues started around 1 AM, we stayed on 2nd floor as a few reviews said first floor was noisy however the party crowd rolled into the stairwell next to our room. It was so loud I couldn’t even drown it out with the TV. My wife decided to get up and phone the front desk, problem no phone in room, also the wifi was generating a whopping .88 mpbs so internet was useless. We managed to bang on door of stairwell and things did calm down. We woke up early and my wife went to blow dry hair in bathroom but there is not any plugs there either. I usually write positive reviews but after this experience I would not recommend staying here.

Arrived past midnight. Came to my room, TV wasnt plugged in. Plugged it in, turned it on, no video just audio. I guess thats why the room was cheap. No problem. Checked out the next day, informed older gentleman that the TV was not working. While Im sitting in the car warming it up, he chases me outside saying the staff checks every room and that "apparently" the TV was working prior to my stay. He starts accusing me of breaking the already broken TV. Seems like he was trying to scam me into paying for a TV that was already broken.
I've never had this happen before at any hotel/motel before in Revelstoke, or anywhere in BC for that matter. This guy literally chased me outside. Did he think I was trying to "run"? I was sitting in my vehicle for a good 10 minutes.
My only mistake was not taking pictures/video of the broken TV. I assumed the room was cheap coz the TV was broken.

They claim they wanted to "discuss" but charged my card $350 with no proof I broke their TV.

On top of that, one of their former employees whom I spoke to when I called to dispute the charge told me that the old man had pulled off similar antics in the past. In fact the employee had quit working here because of how bad these people were.

We took a chance on this hotel and it was worth it. Many reviews of this hotel are quite poor, but it seems the hotel has improved immensely so trust the newest reviews. The hotel seems to be almost through completed renovations inside and out. Our room was modern and clean. We had new large flat screen TV, fridge, sitting area and king size bed. The bathroom has an excellent large shower. Everything was clean. We brought a kettle and bodem to make our own coffee as we knew they did not have coffee makers in the room. There is complimentary water, coffee and tea in the lobby. Check in was great. There was always someone at the front desk when we went by. I saw a lot of cleaning staff around all the time. We stayed for three nights and, because of the pandemic they didn’t do daily room cleans and they communicated his with us. Excellent location, great price. We would stay here again and we recommend the hotel.

I believe this hotel was an old school. The rooms are done us nicely with the renovations but no carpet even in hallways so noise does carry. They have a restaurant and bar attached that offers 15% off your food bill. Good location to everything and staff are friendly. No house keeping except on request.

My boyfriend and I spent one night at the Grizz Hotel as a stop off on our drive from Vancouver to Banff. The hotel is budget friendly and functional. Parking was full when we arrived in the evening, but the receptionist was able to direct us to overflow parking on a nearby street. Breakfast was very limited, with no plant milks (we bought our own) or gluten-free options that we could see.

I have to say, only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the bed was super comfy, and the room and hotel staff were super nice.

Pros: The bathroom was new and clean, had a new shower, the bed was well made and felt very new. Don't shy away when you pull up to the hotel, the outside is deceiving because of the construction. The interior lobby is very pretty, almost Asian/ cabin in the woods feel.

Cons: I was in the room across from the restaurant. I could hear all the music, all the people, and I could hear everyone in the hallway/ beneath me. Sometimes it felt like people were entering my room because there wasn't much notice reduction. I was on the top floor and could also hear rain on the roof (which I don't mind because I love that sound).
