Arrived for 1 night with my family with kids. Room with 2 bedroom is very small and felt very cramped. Also it smelled very stale/musky. The smell of a stale post-smoker air I would say. Had to use perfume to cover it a little bit. No cartoon channels on tv for the kids..seemed odd placement of bathroom into one bedroom and other room me having just a sink.. The front desk agents were very pleasant. The on-site dining room also was wonderful in terms of food and service;and the staff working there very accommodating with heater request for patio dining and food suggestions.

Honestly, the best hotel we stayed at that summer during our road trip. Separate sleeping quarters, that was really a bonus. 100% would stay here again. Staff were great, room was clean, beds were very comfy. Definitely worth the price, which wasn't that high to begin with. :)

We enjoyed our two night stay. Shower curtain smelled very musty and housekeeping was quick to come in and change riptide. The patio for the busy pub was nice and food very tasty. The breakfast was good and the young man that was working in the dining room during breakfast was working very hard. Good service overall.

We booked a king bed for 28 July 2020, for a stop over on our way to Kelowna. I booked this in December of 2019. I was contacted by the hotel in April and asked if I wanted to move to the Best Western their Sister hotel owned by the same company. It was explained that it was due to COVID 19. I explained that we preferred to stay at the Regent. The lady I spoke with agreed to call me back when we get closer to our date, which was still about 4 months away. She said they would know more about what was going on and when they would be open etc… On 12 May I called the Regent hotel and was told that I was booked at the Best Western and also at their hotel so I would have a choice as we got closer to the date. I again reiterated that we preferred to stay at the Regent hotel. On 21 July I called the Regent since they had not called me yet and we were a week away from our trip. I spent 20 minutes on hold and eventually told that they had already cancelled our reservation. They offered me a queen bed instead of the king room I had reserved. I asked if this was the same price and was told yes. Because of the mix up I asked if they could work with me on the pricing and again, I was told no because they are booking fast etc… They blamed the mix up on COVID 19. I don't believe COVID 19 would have prevented them from calling or emailing me as they had previous committed to. Especially before canceling my reservation that I had booked 8 months in advance. The lady on the phone told me that my reservation was transferred to the Best Western. So, I called the Best Western and they knew nothing about me having a room there. My name was only in their system from a previous stay the previous year. After speaking with and Manager and explaining my story they were able to book me a room. I was very lucky in that they were very close to being fully booked. So, we ended up at the Best Western. I would not recommend staying at the Regent hotel. Not good for the blood pressure to say the least. I found this situation to have been handled both inconsiderately and unprofessionally to say the least!

I'm so sorry this was your experience. There were so many things that were uncertain during this last year and I am sure not being booked at your hotel of choice was frustrating. Our hotel was closed for over 3 months during this time and there was uncertainty about reopening. My apologies for our mix-up and mistake in not having your reservation secured. I am glad to hear that you were able to book in at the Best Western Plus.

Our room was great. It was two separate rooms with a shared bath. The room was well away from the bar and restaurant so there was very little noise. The staff were are very polite and well-presented. This was the only hotel we stayed at in August 2020 that served a hot breakfast. It was very tasty. Since there was no refrigerator in the room the staff were able to get us ice, the ice machines were not accessible due to COVID. They also lent me an iron.
