We were on a short road trip through Revelstoke and found this gem by word of mouth. We thought that Susan and Don's home was in the perfect location. The house is walking distance to downtown Revelstoke. They were great hosts with lots of recommendations and were very accommodating.

We stayed in the downstairs room for two nights. It was comfortable, had a nice shower, comfortable bed, and a great kitchen. The view from the room is pretty amazing. There's a nice hot tub on the second floor deck. The only downfall was that the upstairs was pretty loud, almost everything they did, we heard.

We fell in love with a painting on the wall and were actually able to purchase it from Susan! Overall we loved their home and would definitely stay again and would recommend it.

This is a house on the riverbank with added suites , we got the two bedroom version, two queen beds , with two bathrooms , two showers , kitchen , dining area , small living room with couch that folds out to another bed (very bad). Kitchen had all the pots and pans, dishes etc. you would need for a long stay. Hot tub on the roof was fun after a long day and the view of the river was soothing. Quite expensive, but very nice owners very helpful.

Arrived late in the day without a booking.Very tired and needing a good night sleep. Susan showed us a lovely suite on ground floor. Lovely and clean and spacious. Had such a good night, stayed for a second night. Had a chill out day and will be ready to drive for another hectic day.
Perfect place to stay !!!

On a positive note our room was clean and well equipped with a wonderful view over the river and mountains. Revelstoke it self is a lovely friendly place with lots to do and places to see with lots of bars, cafe's a cinema and even an Aqua Centre, (swimming pool), which has an indoor aqua duct chute and a water rapids for the kids. We loved Revelstoke and will return here again next time we come but sadly not to this establishment.
We had a couple of issues with the fixtures and fittings. The Bathroom basin was free standing and loose and the toilet was not securely fixed to the floor and both moved freely every time we used them. There was also a problem with the curtain rail and curtains not fitting the window width properly allowing early morning sunshine through and making privacy a problem with passing guests.
Also the traffic and railway noise was a problem as was the noise from the upstairs guests.
Tip: Go to the Aqua centre communal swimming pool in the afternoon for a couple of hours of fun.

This B&B was beautifully positioned overlooking the river and the hosts were warm and friendly. We were two couples and took the top suite which was warm and comfortable and had good kitchen facilities that allowed us to prepare our own meals.

We had Outstanding experience at the Inn on the River during our recent ski trip to Revelstoke. Don and Susan are the most gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. We had the downstairs two bedroom suite that had a large picture window looking out on to the Columbia River and the Monashee Range. What a way to start your day! The suite was very clean and had all the amenities you would need. The location of the Inn on the River is perfect for walking to the shops, pubs and restaurants in town, which by the way are all very cool! While the suite was awesome and the location excellent; Don and Susan are truly the catalyst for such a wonderful experience there! They we so helpful in recommending places in town and would check in with us from time to time to insure that everything was in order. There is no doubt we will be going back there again to stay at the Inn on the River and revisit with Don and Sue!!!

House could not be closer to the Columbia River unless it was in it. In quiet area not in manic parts of busy little Revelstoke. Our very clean, 2 bedroom upstairs suite was exceptionally comfortable and well equipped. Host was helpful and friendly but never intrusive. Eat in kitchen had everything we could possibly have needed. The lounge area was very cosy with fireplace, and big settee next to picture window was hard to leave because of the superb view. Our bedroom and en-suite spacious, comfy large bed, heaps of storage and good shower. TV in bedroom not lounge but fortunately husband too busy photographing sensational river and mountain views from kitchen balcony to watch TV. Very good value for money.

Inn on the River is totally charming. It is not ultra-slick nor modern, but if you are in Revelstoke, you'd be crazy not to check it out. We stayed in a 2-bed unit, with glorious views of the river. The decor of the unit seems to consist of bits and pieces lovingly collected by the owners over the years, resulting in a lovely, comfortable ambience. I think they have furnished this place with a great deal of personal thought.
Having said that it isn't ultra-modern, let me reassure everybody that the en-suite bathrooms were as good as any of the mid-range hotels we have stayed at, as were the bedrooms, both of which open on to the kitchen-living area.
I got the feeling that the hosts, Susan, and her husband, would really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. There are a lot of small personal touches that are beyond what most travellers would hope for.
I hope that everyone who reads this experiences the same feeling that we did. By the way, I'm 57, the spouse is 63, my son & partner are in their mid-20s and we all loved it. It's not just an oldies' place! (My son s one of those downhill mountain bike nutcases.)

Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with our family of 4 on the way
home from Edmonton to Vancouver. Charming suite with the
most amazing views and a completely stocked kitchenette.
Great suggestions for restaurants etc and a wicked late
night cribbage game - wished we could have stayed longer.
