We stayed at the Villager Inn for a night while in transit on our move. We had a small suite with a separate bedroom, which was ample room for a family of three. This is an older, independent hotel so don't expect the amenities of larger chain hotels, but our room appeared to be newly renovated with new floors, paint, bathroom, fridge, and really comfortable beds. It was a hot day, but we sat outside our room on some patio chairs and enjoyed a few cold beers after our trip. They were pet friendly too, which was great! Just a heads up, the pool has been closed since covid hit (according to mgmt), and there was no breakfast service, but other than that, we had a good stay. Oh, and there is in room coffee for first thing in the morning!

The website badly misrepresents what you get for $130/ night. The pool is a disaster and is closed. The first room I was given had rotting food in the refrigerator. The younger guy at the front desk was helpful but the others were surly curmudgeons. There is really no reason to stay here unless you have to be in Princeton and all other lodging is booked.

We would like to thank the villager inn for finding us alternative accommodations last night as their hot water tank broke and unable to repair until after the weekend. Although our accommodations were not quite as updated as what we thought the villager would be it was acceptable so we didn’t have to drive further for the day Thank you for taking care of that for us

Rude and combative manager; unreasonable expectations, overcharging for minor stain and Loud footsteps above and outside. Basic room but acceptable if it wasn’t for him. Won’t be back or recommend…. Skip it and go somewhere else! …………..

Not the greatest place I've stayed, but not the worst! We were on the main level and could not sleep due to the noise. Sounded like a herd of elephants and could hear everyone talking outside! Breakfast was good! Room was clean.

We booked most of the Inn for 2 nights for a group cycling holiday. It’s an older motel so we weren’t expecting luxury but they have done some updating. The managers Jack and Reuben went out of their way to make us welcome and the rooms were reasonably clean, beds comfortable and fridges working well. Continental breakfast was generous and included fresh seasonal fruits & home made muffins. Pool and patio area were clean, lots of lounge chairs and sun protection. Cope with the fluctuating hot water temperature and you will have a good time. Well located near the KVR trail and although close to the highway it was pretty quiet. Thanks Reuben and Jack!

We stopped here for one night on our way home from a family visit. At first the room looked alright. However, it was almost impossible to regulate the temperature of the shower, I ended up having a bath instead because the drain was so slow. In the morning I tried to make coffee with the stuff in the room. I noticed that it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. The tray was stuck to the microwave by spilled coffee. When this was mentioned to the owner I was told, "I'm not surprised" . Wrong answer! The floors had crumbs in the corners and the whole place needs painted and cleaned properly. We will not be back. Invest a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.

We were charged $110 for a dirty, decrepid room, with a "queen" sized bed, which consisted of an old, lumpy double mattress on a queen-sized box spring base. The electrical is unsafe, the bathroom stinks, ...... This motel should be condemned! A motel room in Osoyoos at $150 would be safer, cleaner and more comfortable. We took one look at the continental breakfast and drove straight through to Hope to eat.

I think my review is best given in the form of a compliment sandwich. Pro: good location right behind a neighbourhood pub serving good food. Owner is friendly and laid back. Con: it clearly hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. Be prepared to see cracked paint, stains in the carpet and other oddities. I went to turn off our “light” and it turned our TV off as well! Picture the motel from the movie “Big” but without the violence and bad neighbourhood. I could see people with higher standards running for the hills. Pro: if you need a place to rest your head while passing through it’s not gonna kill you. Bed was clean, coffee in room and free breakfast in the morning.

We passed through Princeton and needed somewhere to stay in a pinch. I’m glad we stayed here, as the staff was so friendly and welcoming, invited us to join their bbq. Yes the hotel is a little rough around the edges BUT I would stay there again simply because the atmosphere was so great. Good pool, my kids loved that. Beds were really comfy. Wifi was great. TVs worked. It was quiet despite being fully booked. I would recommend it for sure!
