Part of me doesn't want to rave about it because I don't want it to get harder to book than it is, due to its current popularity. This is a great place to stay in Parksville, right on Resort Way. Nicely decorated, comfortable, clean units with enough room for a family to spread out. Large decks with their own BBQs. Full kitchens and washers and dryers in units. The front desk and reservations staff are excellent - they really do go above and beyond service-wise to ensure you feel welcome. Indoor pool and hot tub. Mini golf on site. Day spa on site. Cafe on site. The only downsides are 1) lack of A/C (A/C would make summer stays more comfortable) and 2) lack of connectivity via trails around the resort (in most units, you can't walk through the resort to get to the pool and other amenities via a pathway, you actually have to go out to the street side sidewalk -- very odd) We have stayed here many times and will continue to return for family R&R stays.…
Very comfortable accommodations. Well appointed unit, and kitchen with everything we needed. Easy access to the unit with ample parking. Very nice resort with village amenities. Good value for money. Will definitely return.
We stayed here for a few nights. The cabin itself was beautiful. It had a fully stocked kitchen, pretty much had everything you need. I did take a few of my own kitchen items. Some of the dishes had chips on them, one of the pots was scratched up and in my opinion should not be used. We didn’t use it. The cabin did have 3 tv’s, but they were really small tv’s for the big space I expected much bigger tv’s. It had two bathrooms, it seemed to run out of hot water very quickly so that wasn’t fun. We did have some ants in the cabin, so we sprayed some ant raid and that seemed to help a little. People on the sofa bed in the living room had the most ant problem so that was an issue. The loft had a sofa bed, we would have preferred a regular bed as sofa beds aren’t really the most comfortable. In spite of the few issues we had, our stay was enjoyable, we really enjoyed our family time. We will definitely be back.…
What a great facility and within walking distance to the beach and downtown Parksville! We stayed in cottage 205 from December 23, 2020 until January 1, 2021. We are clean freaks and this place was spotless - kudos to the cleaning staff, as it is so important! The cottage was very well stocked with cookware and utensils, coffee pot, toaster, kettle, etc and even had a washer & dryer and a BBQ on the large back deck. The bed was very comfy as well. The cottage was beautifully decorated and was such a wonderful place to call home for 9 days! There are several trails in the area, so if you enjoy a good nature walk, this is the place. The complex also has a pool, but we didn't venture over there and mini golf is an easy walk from here. We will most definitely recommend this complex to our family and friends!…
Stayed at Cypress cottage 155. Great shade during the hot days in July, nice big windows to let the breeze in, and comfortable beds. We had stayed in this same house 4 years ago and lucked out getting it again this trip! It’s at a great location...close enough to go through the path and onto the road if you want to go for a run, and close to the short cut path between houses to get to the pool. Well maintained. Great customer service!
Best service from front end staff accommodating our requests! Room was well equipped with good kitchen supplies and balcony was beautiful. Quiet beach and lots of grass for picnics. We would definitely book again
From Jessica's friendly front desk manner to Shauna's concern for our total comfort, we were so thrilled with this, our most recent stay at Oceanside Village. We've lost count of the number of our visits, but this was the best yet. Cabin was awesome!
We stayed 4 nights in Cottage 103. The location was perfect for the plans we had while in Parksville. We were so impressed with all the amenities offered as well as how immaculate this cottage is. The bed linens were so soft and comfortable. It was great to have a king size bed. There were several pillows so you could pick which firmness or softness you prefer. There is a huge soaker tub and a separate shower. The fireplace looked inviting, but we didn't end up using it. We would love to go back and stay longer - hopefully during the summer months.
Have stayed here 4 times but will look elsewhere. We found the units lacking light and we booked in the winter knowing there was an indoor pool. Unfortunately even after voicing our concerns the pool temperature was not comfortable...too cool. Units are nicely outfitted but definitely outpricing themselves!
Third time that I've stayed at this sit. Cottages are very clean and well stocked with everything but food. Beds are comfortable, updated appliances, two bathrooms and a t.v. in all bedrooms. The deck has a patio set and barbeque. The recreation center was a short distance and has a swimming pool, hot tub and exercise equipment. There is also a small shopping area, beauty salon and spa. Location is perfect. Quiet, but easily accessible to Parksville and Qualicum Beach. good value for your money. Comfortably accommodates four to six people.
