Stayed in a Duplex Cottage Suite b/c of the king sized bed - very quiet and cozy for a good sleep. Softer mattress than we're used to, but comfortable. The sofa/futon living room furniture was not comfortable to sit on and seemed quite worn. Didn't like the big spider found in the bathroom, but you're in the forest! Kitchen was well appointed for making meals. Should've checked all cupboards early on b/c the coffee/tea basket was left in a cupboard over the fridge. It's a good idea to check the 'order form' left on the counter to make sure you have all they supply or else call front desk if you're missing something (no bath robes in our unit, but not a big deal to us). Appreciated the beach time and the getaway!

Hotel's Favourite
I have always wanted to stay at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort and finally had a chance to visit with my family this summer. I am happy to say, the wait was so worth it! Our rooms were lovely. We stayed in the Texada Ocean View One Bedroom Suite (by the water) for the first night and then switched to a Spa Bungalow Studio Suite (in the quiet forest setting) for the remainder of our visit. Both very different but both equally beautiful. If I had to choose one for a future visit…I would be very torn to choose. You can’t go wrong here. The staff at the resort are all so exceptional. From the lovely ladies who helped with our reservations to the guest service staff and the restaurant/lounge staff, they were all friendly, professional and so helpful. The location of the resort is outstanding. You could walk for several kilometers along Rathtrevor Beach and into Craig Bay during low tide. We enjoyed some long walks during low tide and it was so calming and warm. I could see why some people spend the whole day out there. Overall, we had a wonderful visit and would easily return to the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort.

Will definitely come again. Great service in the restaurant and lounge. Our servers were amazing and on the ball. The room was amazing and so relaxing. Loved having a nice relaxing bath in the Jacuzzi tub. Loved sitting at the beach to relax in the evenings. My only regret was not bringing my children to enjoy the facility, but will next time.

Highly recommend as a getaway. Treed forest felt like you were in paradise. We will be going back often as a quiet getaway, yet still having the town amenities close by. The Cabins will always be my first choice to stay when wanting a trip away.

We were really disappointed in the cottage. It was much smaller than the stock photos used - understandable that they’re not all the same. But with a baby and a dog, there was no room to even keep the pack’n’play in the room. We had to use it but had no room to move. The cottage was dusty and full of cobwebs, the kitchen items were dirty or mouldy, and the fridge leaked water all over the floor and got the dog bed soaking wet. I was also rudely told to get out of the cedars lounge when I arrived — I wasn’t going to stay, I was just greeting my husband and telling him I was going to go check in. I was hardly in the doorway for a minute when a server told me I wasn’t allowed there with a stroller and had to leave - no greeting, no common sense to see I wasn’t staying, no compassion. It was a terrible way to start the visit. I later called cedars re: some items left behind at the wedding reception on Sunday night in a high chair before we left and the woman who answered told me she was too busy helping another customer to take my call, told me to call back later. We I now understand I needed to reach banquets, but she did not want to help at all. I never recovered these items.
