We have just left after the best two days. The situation is fabulous, with the Rathtrevor beach right there, and houses and facilities both attractive and excellent too. However, what makes this resort so special is the quality of the service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our log cabin had everything we needed, and we much enjoyed our visit to the pool, sauna & jacuzzi which we had practically to ourselves. We also enjoyed the cedars restaurant both for supper & breakfast. We would recommend the nearby North Island Wildlife rescue centre. The best was the beach though where it felt as if you had all the time and space in the world. What a wonderful spot.

We stayed here after a long day, getting the train up from Seattle and then a car and ferry across to Nanaimo. The accommodation was lovely - we stayed in a cabin near the spa which was huge! A large bed, spa bath, kitchenette and sofa area with fireplace. We enjoyed a takeaway pizza and wine from the restaurant and the next morning it was relaxing enjoying our morning coffee sat outside our cabin and amongst the trees. We finished with a walk down to the beautiful private beach. Definitely what was needed after a long journey! Our only regret was staying for just one night.

Very comfortable and well equipped. All staff friendly and helpful. Gorgeous location. The Grotto Mineral Pool and fabulous massage were wonderful. The only slight negative were the Leisure pool area, changing rooms and hot tub, all of which are in need of some attention. Overall a very restful stay

My husband and I stayed at Tigh na Mara for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a 3rd floor ocean view bedroom, it was all newly updated and the view was absolutely beautiful! We saw whales in the morning from our balcony which was an added bonus. The low tide in the morning and high tide in the evening was very interesting! We visited the restaurant and the staff was super friendly. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly there as well. I 100% recommend this resort! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the exceptional staff to the lovely cabin surrounded by trees only metres from the walkway to the beach this was an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. Our dog was welcomed with a small toy, treats and her own food bowl. The lanes were lovely and peaceful to walk along. Perfect! Highly recommended !

This was our final accommodation in a 2 week trip around Alberta and BC, and we wanted to treat ourselves to a little bit of luxury. We were not disappointed! We stayed in one of the ‘bungalows’. These are wood cabins, which have been split into 4 apartments. Ours was bigger than our entire home!! It had a seating and dining area, a kitchen, huge bedroom, spa bath and separate shower and toilet. There were patio doors to a sheltered outdoor seating area, and gas fireplaces in the living and bedroom. It was an incredibly peaceful stay, really relaxing. This resort has the Grotto spa, which was just over from us but we didn’t visit. You can walk down through the resort to a small beach which has beautiful views. Parksville is well placed on the island if you want to head west to the Pacific Rim National Park (2h40min drive) or North to Campbell River (1h20min) and is about 40 minutes from the Nanaimo ferry. The main town is a few minutes drive away and has the usual fast food joints, a few restaurants and supermarkets. We opted to buy food from the supermarket and cook in our kitchen which worked really well. If you are looking for a relaxing stay you can’t get much better than this.…

Stayed for 2 nights in a Spa Bungalow Suite. Lovely accommodation with 2 beds and spa bath in the bedroom. The property was dark but that was to be expected as the bungalow is in the forest. We had breakfast included which was good. Only issue with the property is guaranteed check in is not to 17.00 and when I offered a UK telephone number so they could let us know when the accommodation was available was told that can not tel overseas phones.
