Owners were somewhat upset that we had dogs and didn't tell them. The online reservation process doesn't ask if you have pets. So they had to "rearrange others to accommodate us". $10 per dog is unreasonable. I understand that not all pet owners are responsible but that shouldn't be the norm. The hotel clerk stated it was also because of...

Just to clarify, the owners were not "upset" when this guest booked a suite well in advance, arrived, checked in and paid for the room in advance also. Only then, on his way out, did he reveal he was travelling with his 3 full grown weimaraner dogs. The necessary arrangements were made to have this family of 5 moved into...

We stayed at this hotel in Nelson in August 2014. The grounds were well kept, the rooms were very clean but dated. There is access across the road to a beach, and kayak rentals at the hotel. There was a daily continental breakfast, which was exceptional. There was also an area that guests could BBQ if they desired. Staff was...

To Whom it May Concern:) Going through very positive and warm Tripadviser reviews, we decided to stay in Kokanee Glacier Resort. Actually, Kokanee exceeded our picky team expectations. Staying in Kokanee Glacier you will not see any DownTown strangers. Hotel has very good parking lot and kids playground. Staying in resort, you will be in the middle of the Nelson...

Nice place to spend a long weekend or an entire late spring/summer/early fall week!! The view of the lake is amazing from the hill where the motel is located. Older building and furnishing but everything is kept clean inside and outside. Short drive to the city but farther away from the downtown.

Shaun and Amanda couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful! My husband and sister and I shared a suite for four nights in September 2014, and had a wonderful stay. The suite was spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds, an efficient and well-stocked kitchen, and a great view of the lake. Shaun provided kayaks and helped us carry them down...

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2014. Great experience! The owners were lovely, the view - amazing, and the hotel had every feature we were looking for: Pet-friendly, kitchenette, a/c... They truly have thought of everything. We will be returning every summer.

We were driving back into Nelson after no luck with vacancy in any of the campgrounds. We saw this beautiful little gem up on the hill. We missed seeing the no vacancy sign, and were luck enough to find out they just had a cancellation. We fell in love with the place from here on. The owners are both very...
