The staff, hotel and location was excellent! We just stayed overnight after a game of golf at Granite Point. Nelson is a beautiful little city with lots of old historic buildings and downtown shopping!

Hotel's Favourite
We loved our stay at this pristinely clean hotel, with its upscale yet charming and cozy feel. The front desk agent was very welcoming, friendly and informative, and she put us into a great room. We got the top floor we had requested, and got a better view than we had anticipated. They have a good way of opening their hot tub during this covid period: guests book an exclusive time slot, and the front desk lets you in at the time you booked. The bed was very comfy, and we loved the TV channel selection, especially the commercial-free ones like the Frame channel. They don't have a complementary breakfast, but do have a great discount for guests at the restaurant in the hotel. Our room faced the street, but the street noise was minimal. We were very comfortable with their level COVID protocols.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, maintained, and well equiped. We were happy with the location and the walkability to so many fun places nearby. A quiet place at night so we enjoyed our sleep. We will book again next time we visit Nelson.

With the COVID restrictions and a desire to support our local communities, my husband and I decided to spend a couple of nights on a staycation - one in Nelson and one at Red Mountain. Frankly, we should have stayed both nights at the Best Western. The value for the quality of rooms and access to nearby attractions made the Best Western and the community of Nelson the clear winner between our two destinations. We stayed one night in a king room facing outwards (looked onto Baker Street). The room was large with a king bed, a couch and a table and chairs. The room was recently renovated and was very clean and quiet. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Check in was fast and easy, as was parking. We were given a breakfast voucher for the adjacent restaurant for 9.95 each. Great value for a good breakfast! Located at the bottom of Baker Street, it was an easy walk for shopping, coffee, restaurants and bars. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
