We originally booked for 1 night but extended our stay as we liked the hotel and town so much. Good value for money, bedrooms were in excellent condition and clean, good range of facilities, food and drink was great. But the highlight for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff with no exception- we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome, and the service at reception and bar/restaurant was superb, including giving us some excellent tips on places and things to do in the area. Particular thanks to Kirsty in the bar for being so friendly and helpful. You should be aware that there is limited off road parking, and if you are a light sleeper/have young children that the some of the rooms at the front of the hotel can be a little noisy as they're on the main drag. But these are minor points- we had a fabulous stay and couldn't recommend the hotel highly enough.…
Agree that this property is unremarkable. The bathroom is weird with a glass door that offers no privacy and there was no heat in our bathroom. The “fireplace room” had an inexpensive electric fireplace in it. The rooms are noisy over the pub and the hall noise is loud too. I think this is trying to be a boutique hotel but just misses the mark. The coffee in the AM was just ok. However, the glimmer of light is the excellent coffee shop next door.
Second time staying here and just love it. The rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. No carpet, soft sheets, really good coffee in the kitchen and a great outdoor space. Had drinks and dinner in the pub one night, shout out to our server, she was great ( I’m pretty sure her name was Racheal, but I’d had a few). Would stay again.
Booked thru Expedia for 2 beds, ended up with bunk beds. Lukewarm ‘help’ from manager. Seemed unfriendly and standoffish from the word ‘go’. Refused to offer solution, change room or work towards some sort of solution despite lots of Hotel room vacancy Pros: Cheerful staff. Vibrant colours! Central location. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Cons: Small rooms. No elevator but that’s no biggie. However rooms are ‘perishable’ like bananas. Not sure what the point of leaving empty rooms is, especially when a mutually beneficial solution could probably be worked out. Didn’t feel listened to, so here I am. Most people just want to feel heard, and I definitely didn’t feel heard by management.
Stayed in Adventure Hotel for three nights early August. The room was clean with comfortable bed and super quiet ac. Love the overhead shower head. The luggage rack is a useful plus. View from window is the adjacent liquor store and Vernon St. Location is central, walking distance from one end of Baker Street to another where most of the restaurants, cafes and stores are. The hotel is also a 5-min walk to the viewpoint of Gyro Park and Prestige terminal of the Streetcar. I didn't go to the hotel pub and restaurant but the Empire Cafe has superb coffee and opens at 6am. Although the hotel has a communal pantry, it would be nice to have a mini fridge, kettle and coffee maker in the room. Complimentary guest parking has 10 spots only, first come first basis. Ample street meter parkings, free from 5pm till 9am. I found it beyond my ability to operate the TV ( see photos attached). I used the radio for some background music to mellow in the evening.…
Our 3 nite stay in Nelson at the Adventure Hotel was perfect . Rob Little and the staff made our stay stress free. From the Pub to the coffee shop ( great cappuccino and croissant) and the Grand Liquor Store with a nice selection of hard to find wines. All the staff made sure we were taken care of . Late June was setting record temps but the air conditioning was awesome. We will be back for sure . Nelson is a great town to explore ...lots of boutique shops and restaurants. Great coffee shops and the village has retained lots of its original character.
This is a great little place right in downtown Nelson. There are a variety of room types to chose from depending on your budget. I stayed in a 'budget' room as that was all that was available. The room was small but spotless. There was a two-piece ensuite and the spotless single shower was a few doors down. This place is like a combo hostel (in the best sense) and boutique hotel. There is a large lounge on the second floor with large fridge, microwave, coffee, tea, and eating utensils. The front desk staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Attached to the hotel are: an awesome pub with the best burger and fries I've had in a while; a coffee shop; and a nice restaurant with awesome food and full bar. Be aware there is no elevator so you will be climbing stairs. there is limited on-site free parking (first-come basis) and ample street parking with meters in force 9-5.…
Someone in Naramata mentioned to us this was a good place to stay. We were on our way to Nelson, so decided to take a chance and book in. Sooooo glad we did. Whilst the rooms are definitely spartan what more do you need. A lovely queen bed with spotless linen and full on comfort. A brillian shower, best ever with lovely clean towels etc. Loads of space in the room . Absolutely spotless situation. Normally I would be annoyed no coffee in the room however, coffee is brewing very early in the morning along with milk. So absolutley nothing to complain about. LOVED this place and would definitely recommend and definitely re-visit next time we are in the vicinity. Just LOVED it.
Great location and atmosphere. Rooms were clean, comfortable and no carpet! Upstairs patio where we could have our own drinks and snacks. We had dinner in the uptown sports bar, was very good and service was excellent, shout out to Miley Cyrus look alike. Her second day there and she did a great job. Really good coffee in the lounge area. Best deal in town.
A fantastic hotel with clean rooms, great staff and wonderful amenities. I loved the outdoor patio and the common lounge. It was a great space to bring your own snacks and drinks and relax. We had a great stay and we will be coming back!
