The hotel was very accommodating to our family and for our visit. We took a number of rooms up and they were always helpful in finding space for them and greeting them one group at 3 a.m. The hotel is old but in good shape. Stairs might be an issue for some.
Great boutique hotel with stunning views of the lake. Beds are super comfy and rooms newly renovated. All the amenities from other property on lakeside available but a much better value. Highly recommend.
breakfast is awful - food quality is very poor and no options available. housekeeping lacks personnel and doesn't clean the room or even bring fresh towels. if you have an option, book someplace else.
I’ve stayed before because the beds are comfy clean and I love waking up to the view of the lake and the sail boats in the morning. Coffee on the deck in the morning. Bathroom clean and appreciated the extra mirror with magnifying side. Access to pool and hot tub and the sister hotel.
Most rooms don’t have a closet. Just a few hooks. Location is very convenient. You can walk to many places and you’re right by a shopping center with Grocery store, liquor store, drug store, etc. parking is tight (small spaces). Can be a little challenging for SUV’s and pick up trucks if the hotel is busy. Be Warned!!! There is a train that goes by early in the morning (between 4-6). You are right beside the tracks. You get to use the amenities at their Lakeside hotel. And if you decline housekeeping you get a coupon or two for the restaurant (depends on length of stay)
We were welcomed by a smiling and cheerful guest services agent who provided us with our room keys as well as information about use of the amenities at the Prestige Lakeside Resort, a companion accommodation. These amenities included the Fitness Club, Swimming Pool, free EV charging station, and Port 071, a restaurant. Our third floor room had a great view of the Kootenay Mountains , the lake, the marina and Lions Park. Since we were staying more than one night and opted out of daily housekeeping, we were given two $10 vouchers for use at Port 071, the restaurant. The room had a big screen television with free WiFi. For a fee, let’s are allowed in dog-friendly rooms. Games and books are available for borrowing. Check-out time is 11 am.
This hotel is okay for a short stay. Rooms on the backside do face the lake and the rooms are decent enough. There is no closet to hang your clothes; just a few hooks on the wall. The air conditioning system that you can operate with a remote is extremely noisy. DO NOT get room 116! The balcony is adjacent to and dove tails with a public balcony terrace, and anyone sitting on this balcony has a birds eye view into your room. Complete lack of privacy. Ditto for the balcony with the room next door.
Aside from the fact that the pool and some amenities are at the lakeside prestige we had a fantastic stay here at the hotel! Room was clean, spacious and comfortable! Check in staff were great and friendly! Bathroom was clean and I love the toiletries that they have! The location is about 1km from downtown so super close to walk to restaurants and pubs! Parking was free and good for our truck! Will definitely consider this place again when we stay in Nelson!
We had booked a queen bed w/balcony so we had a view of the lake. When we arrived and checked the Inn had given our room away and tried to give us a room w/patio (basically the patios are where the cars park/pull up behind the Inn). I asked for the room I had booked and showed my confirmation email. The lady at the desk try to give us a “suite” and charge us more money for their mistake. The bedroom in the suite had no air conditioning. Needless to say I didn’t stay at the Inn and spent about 1/2 hour on the phone trying to find a place to stay in Nelson after a 7 hour motorcycle ride.
staff were really friendly, room really clean with a great view of the lake from the balcony, lots of food options really close by, also a short walk to the main street with lots of restuarants and coffee bars, will stay here again for sure
