Mistiso's Place is an upscale, affordable accommodation in the heart of downtown Nelson, BC. Our charming Arts & Crafts home, built in 1926, was awarded Nelson's HERITAGE BUILDING OF THE YEAR 2001 after extensive renovations. Our four self-contained suites are eclectically furnished and can accommodate 1-12 people, making us the perfect choice for small to big groups.

Mistiso's Place is a cozy place to stay. It has everything you need for a short or long stay. The bed is very comfortable, and for those chilly nights you can curl up with a quilt. We love staying here, and Maria is a great hostess.

This place is an absolute gem!! The location is fabulous, I didn’t need to drive once I parked in the provided parking (another huge bonus as parking is very hard to find in Nelson). You can tell things are very thought out, there was local coffee beans and tea, every kitchen item you could possibly need! The claw foot tub was amazing and there is a separate shower as well. The little balcony overlooking the lake was perfect for our morning coffee. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Nelson. Highly recommend Mistiso’s place!

Mistiso's Place is a wonderfully accommodated character home with many beautiful suits. I have stayed here twice in different suits, and I can say with confidence all all are lovely, colorful and charming. Great communication with host. Would highly recommend!

A yard with a beautiful private garden. This beautiful yard steps from downtown Nelson made for a relaxing location. It felt like a retreat far away on a mountain top high. A good supportive feeling made the stay most considerate, I felt thought about as valued. The apartment style was a fabulous feeling to rest and relax with great television viewing. We rented the Purcell suite which is a large 2-bedroom suite on lower level with walkout access to our car. Large kitchen with lots of appliances. queen sized beds are comfortable and each bedroom and also living room have overhead fans for good ventilation. Loved the fact we could park our car and walk easily to downtown and restaurants and theatre. great location to explore from.

We have stayed several times at Mistisos Place in beautiful Nelson BC. Everything you need is in each room, very clean and comfortable, all necessities in kitchen and bathrooms. Purcell Suite has two bedrooms, kitchen ,bathroom,dining area, living room, beautifully decorated and we also use adjoining silver king suite. Great location, close to Baker Street, shops and restaurants. Maria is a lovely host, kind and very personable. Will stay again.

We had a great time but we felt a bit mislead by this posting. We enjoyed our stay but wasn’t what we expected. The Host was great and we don’t think any of these misunderstandings had malicious intent, but we want to warn future occupants of the following misunderstandings we had. **we booked through glamping.com (also the same information on airbnb) so the info may differ from the actual site. We stayed in the Valhalla room on the top floor. Cons - The “private indoor pool” is neither private nor indoor. It’s a pool off site in a different part of the town. - You only get 1 studio esc room, there was no choice of room and no indication that it was only 1 room for rent. We were under the impression it was a whole cabin for rent. - It’s the upstairs above a dentist’s office. - Bathroom and shower is tiny with slanted ceilings. Anyone taller than 6ft would have an issue. - “Patio” is a community patio consisting of a couple of small chairs next to dumpsters Overall I’d recommend booking through the actual mistiso’s website (it says they will price match) Pros: - great location. Very central to all the activities - Very cute room with all the amenities listed (aside from the ones mentioned above) - Had communal board games and activities - Clear instructions printed out in the room and via email…

What a wonderful place! We stayed in the Purcell suite and it exceeded our expectations. Fully stocked kitchen and the best coffee ever! Lavender mint tea was good too! Comfy beds. Good shower. Thick towels. Spacious and will be back. AC worked great! Thanks Maria!
