Rose is the owner/operator of this motel and is very friendly and helpful. The motel is a little older but is clean and functional. This is reflected in the price. Merritt is a sawmill town that we found ideally located after visiting the Okanagan valley enroute to Vancouver. There are also some pleasant easy to find restaurants in the town. The stop over at this motel was pleasant and problem free.

Friendly and most helpful staff. The motel has rooms that are clean, quiet, with good beds, and lots of parking. I always stay here when on business (multiple trips over the years) and have always had a vary good experience.

Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because this place is older -- but there are advantages to an older place provided it's clean; and this one is clean has all the advantages. Newer big-screen TV, good range of stations. Refrigerator is full size. Price is very reasonable for one-bedroom (separate bedroom) with another queen bed in main room. You can park right outside your room and staff is friendly & courteous.

Yes the manager was friendly but that's the only redeeming quality. The room was dusty and very dilapidated. I'd recommend knocking the place down and starting again. The price was much too high for the quality. We would have been better sleeping in the car if it hadn't been so cold. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I just felt depressed staying there after a long drive.

this place is :very clean .newly renovated .
Quiet and Cheap 70 $Cad Net for a Double ...

Located middle of Downtown with Parking lot
Provided HIgh Speed Wifi
LG Flat Screen TV . Movie Channel

Wow, it sure has been a long time since i stayed in a place like this. 1970 rings a bell. The Copper Valley Motel is a very mediocre place to stay. They advertised Plasma TV, Newly renovated, new decor. There's nothing new about this place. The Plasma is a LCD, the furnishings look like they've been used for decades, the bathroom sink is 20 year old marble that's all cracked and it looks quite dirty. Cheesy lamps from the 70's. I feel very itchy sleeping on the bed. Ewww! But there is an upside, the lovely bouquet of fresh plastic flowers from the dollar store added to the ambiance of the place, it really takes the place to a whole new level. The internet works as i am sitting in their room right now using their internet to write this review. The place is very noisy, pipes banging and screeching away while you sleep, the fridge makes this awful very loud noise. The sign on the door says they sell sleep and we should keep the noise down so we don't disturb people. Haha! What a load of crap! $60 for the night ain't bad. But i think i would pass by this place next time i need a place to stay in Merrit. False advertising will get you nowhere.

I ended up stranded in Merritt during Merritt Mountain long weekend with an issue with my vehicle. Not only was Rosie and her husband fantastic hosts(sorry I don't remember his name) who were accommodating and assisted me with loaning items left in the vehicle whilst towed. The rooms were a good size with larger appliances than usual, the bed was comfortable, linens clean and pillows ideal. The wifi was fast, high def TV and rooms though older were immaculate with newer carpeting. Quietest A/C I have run into for this style was able to stand next to it whilst on the phone without the other phone partner able to hear it running. I would highly recommend it and would stay here in a heart beat if I was ever needing a room in Merritt again.

I stayed here together with my mother for one night. The room was a bit old-fashioned, but I actually care more about a comfortable bed and a tidy and clean room and bathroom. And this things were fullfilled. Thus, i would stay there definitely again.
