We had a very shady site, close to washrooms, water and garbage/recycle containers. You do get some later afternoon sunshine to charge up your batteries if you have solar on the roof. There are no showers at Monck Park so we say many people washing themselves at the water taps. The gate person and roving attendant are very friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to. You are also a short walk down a nice path to the boat launch and day use park/beach. The washrooms are cleaned daily but after half a day they do become wet, sandy, and somewhat dirty just like any beachfront restroom. At our particular site you cannot get satellite service due to all the trees. We couldn't even pick up radio. Cell service is not bad. Would have given this place a much higher rating if it wasn't for the 1 grumpy park attendant working in the beach area who chooses to yell across the park for you to get off your bike. The kids were not impressed and neither were many of the people there. This 1 person could certainly use some customer training like the rest of the people working at the park. We camped at Monck Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel

We spent our first night camping here and loved it. The sites are spacious and level and most have a lovely view over the lake. Facilities are basic, but clean- as we found at most of the provincial parks. There was also a great playground, which the kids loved.

This is an extremely well laid out park. There were no sites in front or behind us so you felt like you had the whole park to yourself. All the sites are gravel with fire pit and heavy duty picnic table that you cannot move. Our back in site had the picnic table and lake on the opposite side of the door but the room and space and view we had I would definitely book that site again. There are washrooms and pit toilets located throughout the park which is a good thing because we saw plenty of cars and tents. There are no showers in the park. There is also a beautiful day use park and beach close by. They just recently opened part of it for dogs :-). You are about 15 minutes from the town of Merritt where you'll find your Walmarts, gas stations, and pharmacies. The campground has a dump station but it'll cost you a few bucks to use it. We used the free dump station at the local Canadian Tire in town. Great park for a 4-5 day stay (or until your tanks fill up).

Wanted to go on a motorcycle camping adventure so I rode my motorcycle from Vancouver to Monck Provincial Park in Merritt and camped there for a couple of days. Beautiful place with very good maintained campgrounds. The campsite was nice and quiet since it is not the busy season yet. Lots of trails to walk around the lake. I did a few rides around the area including doing a 300+ kilometres loop to Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops, and back to Merritt. I totally recommend this place to anyone who want to go camping and away from the busyness of the city life.

This park is ample sites for the largest RVs. There were also many smaller trailers and tenters. Each site has a top notch, fixed, picnic table and fire ring. The site we stayed at had the picnic table on the driver side (opposite the trailer doors) but was to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Nicola Lake. This park is all dry camping with potable water taps through out the park. We stayed during a heatwave so had the generating running when we could to have the AC on and charge up the batteries. There is a dump station at the park that you can use for $5. There are toilets and sinks with running water but no showers. There is also a very nice beach area and large grass field that is also for day use visitors as well so it can get busy. This park is big rig friendly; the rangers are very nice; and we would definitely come back again.
