This was our first stop and first time driving an RV so we did not know what to expect. Friendly managers and we had a lovely site, near to the river. All facilities that we needed and a nice shower block to use too.
Would definitely recommend this site as it is so close to the highway but very quiet and peaceful.

A new owner took over and has work to do to bring the site back up to a nice park. They have a lot of lawns to cut. A rustic park located beside a river. Makes it peaceful for sleeping. The new manager was very accommodating and friendly. This is not a manicured park so when it rained, our rigs got dirty from the rain splashing on the dirt surface. Camp fires allowed at this time. New onsite wifi.

This camp ground was beautiful, great views, great bathroom and shower facilities. There was no one beside all of our friends ( 3 campers). We had 3 empty spots beside us. Only precaution is you have to be in your trailer or tent at 10 pm so if you are people wanting to sit by a fire with 2 or more people, something to be cautious of as you will be In violation of your " contract"( which does not disclose this clause) and given a warning if you are a week/ weekend camper and not a full year resident. You will be asked to write a good review like such, in lue of any noise complaints-- even on weekends with any noise after 10 pm. If you are quiet folks who like to just stay out during the day and in bed nice and early, this will be the site for you!

We stayed there 5 days. . Nice setting but sites are squeezed extremely close together...if they spread out into their next field it would be much better. We had ant and wasp issues at our site but that is part of being in a country setting and the campsite cannot be blamed

Main concern..we had a fire pit behind us for our use..,when the neighbours arrived and wanted a fire ..they were told ( we heard the guy too) that it was a shared fire pit either with us or the other side of them .
We camp because we can stay in our bubble and social distance appropriately...a shared fire pit with strangers is not acceptable and the rating reflects this

We were driving from alberta to vancouver last night and got into merritt around 9pm. We found moon shadows on google so thought we would pull in for the night. The office was closed (reasonably) so we just did a lap around to see if there were any sites, there seemed to be plenty (without water or power, those areas of the campground were PACKED piled on top of each other). we looped back by the office to see if there was any directions on the door, there was not. so we went to go back to a site and planned to pay for on our way out. Unfortunately however, we passed a side by side that looked like a worker, so we stopped and asked if he worked here, he responded “what do you want?” we said we were just looking for somewhere we could camp for the night. he was extremely rude, very unwelcoming and almost scary in his response that there was no amenities or washrooms available, we had to be self contained and then told us to drive to the office SLOWLY. (we are in a 81 camper van, everything is slow) We were so uneasy about the interaction that when we got to the office we drove straight by back onto the highway. I understand the office is closed and this may have been night security but this is still not a way to interact with anyone, let alone someone trying to give you their money.

This is our second visit to Moon Shadow RV Campground. What brought us back, Carol and Larry who are so welcoming you think you just arrived home after a long stay away. The grounds are clean and the staff work all day to keep it that way. The sites are large enough for privacy but close enough to safely visit with your neighbors. Fire pits and full hookups and the beautiful Coldwater River runs right along the property to float, swim, or relax and read a book. Now our number One go to for camping.

Great little RV Park. Owners exceptionally pleasant and accomodating, helped us with a last minute booking. Clean facilities. Situated by a running creek. Very family friendly. Spoke with other Campers and they are return customers because of how good the RV Park has been for them.

Sadly we did not get to stay as this site, but i did want to share feedback on that the team were very flexible and accommodating when we were redirected during the recent Kelowna fires. We had booked to stay Near Kelowna and our campsite told us this was cancelled, we contact Moonshadow who emailed back immediately and advised on availability etc. Our initial campsite than had amended message to us so we could stay, so sadly did not get to stay at moon shadow, we will have book based on the quick and prompt enquires service we received next time in area.

This is a great stop for RVers looking for a quiet well operated park. The sites are ample, wifi is excellent , staff are friendly and accommodating. Located right on the river with great areas for dog walking, running etc. Highly recommend!

Booked one night here with a motor home. The staff could not have been more welcoming. The site is lovely and sits alongside a river. The facilities are new and fresh. The pitches were level and fully serviced. There were great places to walk by the river and observe the wildlife. Compared with some other campsites I’d visited this was by far the best.
