This was our second trip to Talus & it was as good or better than the first trip. Lodge is well designed, very comfortable, and the food was outstanding. Hiking is great even when the weather was threatening; somehow Chris managed to always get us back before the rain arrived! Will return again!

We had picked Talus for a one week family reunion ( 14 including 6 young children ) and it has been an excellent choice. The location is superb, the helicopter ride spectacular and everyone had really the feeling to be in an exceptional place. More importantly Chris is a wonderful guide and Michelle is a great cook. And this comment...

This was our 4th trip into Talus Lodge - and we'll go again. The location of the lodge is breathtaking - on a sun-drenched plateau that receives very little rain. Chris Espinel, the lodge owner and manager, is a very knowledgeable guide - the daily hikes are spectacular. Food was stellar, lodge is comfy, and terrain is magical. See you...

We just spent a week at Talus lodge with the whole family (the 14 of us) and had a truly wonderful time. Chris was a great guide, Michelle a stunning cook and Luke an impressive card player. Highly recommend the experience if you want to disconnect, reenergize and find new inspiration!

Talus Lodge is a fantastic place for enjoying the mountains by hiking, photography or just walking. The lodge is bright, clean with comfortable rooms. Meals are plentiful and very flavourful. Owner Chris makes sure that your time there is everything one could hope for. The helicopter flight in is just the beginning of a wonderful time!!

An amazing week in Talus Lodge with the lovely, charming and so accommodating staff: Chris, Michele and Luke. We had a wonderful time hiking, chatting, playing and looking for the legendary grizzly that (unfortunately) had decided to stay far away from us. Would love to go back.

The lodge is extremely well kept, inside and out. The rooms and food are very good and the shower system is interesting to say the least, but works very well if you follow instructions! The hiking is wonderful, especially if you are lucky enough to have good weather. Chris and Luke did a great and patient job guiding the almost...

This lodge has to be our new favourite place to be away the hectic work life. Great digital detox!! The helicopter ride in was a memorable experience with fresh snow fall on the mountain tops! Great food and nice warm duvet for the chilly nights we had. The bucket shower worked amazing with very hot water. The sauna was welcoming...

Talus Lodge is located in a heavenly remote piece of alpine country that the owner has done a superb job of minimizing the human footprint on Mother Nature. The hiking is fantastic and the scenery is beautiful. The lodge is comfortable and clean and the meals are first rate. I have been into many backcountry lodges and Talus has now...

Following Chris's advice, we booked our stay in late July when numerous alpine plants are in flower. There were flowers in abundance! Every hike provided numerous opportunities for flower photography. As if the flowers weren't stunning enough, the geology is amazing. Chris is very knowledgeable about the plants and geology, pointing out plants, fossils, and features we might otherwise miss....
