We came over the Coq late in the evening, rainy night. Happy to be off the road. We booked this place about 3 days in advance and found everything as advertised. It is an older Hotel but the staff are friendly, the room was clean, warm and quiet. I would stay again. Plenty of parking and we were fortunate to park our car right at our room door. Room #15. Restaurants nearby and we grabbed our morning coffee at McDonald’s next morning.

Emergency stop in Hope had us check 3 places. This was the best price ($85/night with BCAA card) for 2 adults and 3 kids. Musty smelling, but reasonably clean. There was a kitchenette, but cupboards locked to get cups and plates. Had to ask at the front for a toaster for the morning. Typical cheap motel with nice fols running the place.

I just love this little motel. It is really well cared for by the owners and staff. The flower pots outside were nice as were the chairs outside the room. Dont get me wrong this is not a 5 star hotel, but it really is a little gem. Everything was clean, great location, close to restaurants. I definitely would stay here again when passing through. There was also a microwave and a small fridge that was so helpful.

We chose this motel because they posted reasonable rates. When we registered, we were told there were no more rooms at that rate and we ended up paying more that the $90 rate posted. We regretted our decision immediately. The place was very dirty. There was mold on the kitchen cupboards and bugs in the bathroom. The shower head was mounted so low that it was awkward to shower. There was no bathroom fan. The beds were obviously dated. The room had a musty smell. Don’t waste your money.

We had stayed at this property a few years ago for a one night stop over and it was decent. We had a stop over again and chose this property because it’s location.

The motel is conveniently located on the highway. There is a Grocery store right next door and some restaurants within walking distance. The outside looks well maintained.

The gentleman at the front desk was not even remotely friendly. He was on the phone the entire time he checked us in. Clearly we were disturbing his evening.

The rooms are dated which is not an issue for us but they were not clean. Touch surfaces (cupboards, counters, coffee maker) had finger prints. The beds were comfortable but had old school bed spreads which I can’t imagine are sanitary. I question how well each room gets cleaned in between guests in a Covid world. I would not have considered this room clean pre-Covid, but it definitely made me worry during Covid.

There are other way better options in Hope and so we will never stay here again.

We have stayed here before Covid, it was affordable, dated but well maintained. Now it is just dated and over priced IMO. Our room had a dirty towel behind door, garbage left in one of the the garbage cans, and not cleaned very well. We will not be returning

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the knowledgeable and friendliness of the front desk clerk. I was also very greatful that I was able to plugin my electric car for overnight charging. The location is hard to beat. Close to restaurants and stores , quiet location. Despite near major road. Easy to get to / from. At a reasonable room rate. Being electric car friendly is a big plus. For us E car drivers.

Drove down from Fort Nelson and was very tired. Stopped here and was pleased that the room was affordable and the room had easy access. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a good nights sleep and didn't notice any noise...I am a light sleeper.

Needed a place to stay for the night in Hope. We were informed it would cost us $7 more to use the kitchenette, and we chose not to. Was clean but as another reviewer noted it seemed musty, we aired it out. Woman at the office told us it was two Queen sized beds and it was Doubles; not overly important to some, but it might be to somebody. We were looking for a room under $100 and thats what we got. Wifi was free but very weak, we actually used the Wifi from the grocery store next door. :)

We tried to get in to a couple of more expensive motels but both were fully booked. However, although this one was cheaper, and fairly basic, it was perfectly OK for a night. It's on the old-fashioned side but none the worse for that. No breakfast but this was not a problem as the Home restaurant is only a 5 minute walk up the street.

This looks like a family business and it's worth supporting as the staff were pretty friendly.
