Stopped in to inquire about a seasonal site but was YELLED at by the teenage girl working the desk for what she considered a parking violation.....wow is all I can say about her rude manner, she must be the owners kid to be permitted to act like that!!

Our 2 hook up campsites were gravel lots wedged in amongst more permanent looking sites, trailers with decks and shelters built up around them. We stayed one night only. We arrived in the afternoon and there was a bouncy castle with loud fan in the site next to us with 20 or so kids. They did turn it off after dinner, but then turned a disney movie on at full volume until around 9. This campgound definately caters to the sites that have been there for years. The more permanent residents were very nice and helpful, showing us the perimeters of our sites, because it was just a long strip of gravel with no way to tell where one ends and begins except for the numbers written on the electrical boxes. The bathroom was clean and taken care of. There were plenty of raccoons that came right up to our table , they crawled out from under the deck/lean-to beside us and tried to eat while we were still sitting at our table. The campground does have a few playgrounds, the kids enjoyed that. Trees and grass were almost non existent. Quite pricy for what it is, not worth the $. Would not come again

We have been camping with our trailer a lot this summer and I have to say this place tops our list as one of the worst. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, but largely interrupted by boat motors at 8am. The lots are tiny and you are surrounded by regular renters. I can't say they have been overly friendly and they sure like to gawk.
The campground looks like a rundown trailer park with dirty amenities.

The staff were friendly and wood prices were the cheapest yet, and they delivered to our site. We wouldn't stay here again, and definitely are scratching it off our list.

Awful experience here, poor management , it's very much cliquey if your not part of the permanent residents. One of the park managers thought it was appropriate to be walking around at night shirtless YELLING at people for noise control. And then shaking tents at 7am asking people to pack and leave.

Do not go unless you have a trailer !!!! They must feed the raccoons all year long as they ended up in our garbage and tents haha. Horrid "camping" its more of a gravol pit,
the whole overall experience was terribly disappointing , the lake is beautiful but there are other campsites in the area .. friends, family, and I won't be stepping foot near this one again!!

Everyone staying here seems like they all know each other have been here a long time. They have their RV's parked with elaborate porches, awnings and deck setups built up around them. The tenting sites are terrible. They are basically a tiny patch of grass/gravel with no trees. I felt like all the gypsys staying there were watching our every move. There is alot of little kids biking around or worse, cruising around in noisy powerwheels. After it got dark they were playing some movie with the volume cranked to the max. There was also some trailer in the middle of the campground that was shooting rainbow lasers everywhere like I was at a rave. The teenage girl in the office was also very snarky when we checked in. Definitely would not recommend this place to people.

We were there over May long weekend and the kids had a blast! There was little car traffic during the day and kids running everywhere so we felt safe letting my almost 4 year old run a few campsites away without worry of cars! No loud parties into the night. Lots of boat parking since I had last been! Kids love the sandy beach and the 10c candies at the store! I haven't been camping in years and will be back to kawkawa lots this summer!

Camping, boating, fishing, hiking, great views! Its all here. This is a great spring/summer spot! I can't wait to go back. It's nice to bring your boat some where and do water sports. It is a fun place for friends and family.

Had to cancel a reservation at the last minute due to unforeseeable circumstances. I can understand it was frustrating for them, but I was rudely yelled at without them even asking the circumstances surrounding the cancellation.

We rented an RV and this was our last night before going back to Vancouver. We got a spot right on the lake and it was perfect! Lovely owner and we had nice neighbours who were staying for the whole summer. Really enjoyed our night here

It had been 6 years since I last camped at Kawkawa lake but I hzad wonderful memories from our last trip there so I recomended it to a friend who wanted to take his kids camping. Last minute I decided to join them and reserved a spot for 2 nights. Our friends even managed to move to the campsite next to us after someone cancelled. Our friends headed up during the early afternoon and we arrived in the evening when they were all set up. We pitched our tent, moved the picnic table to join theirs and unpacked. We had such great campsites and were so impressed with the maintainance of the campgrounds and the friendly people! We both can't wait to go back again!
