We recently stayed at Blaeberry Mountain Lodge. My wife, son and daughter loved the place as much as I did. It was super quiet up in the cabin. We slept like logs and woke each day to venture into Yoho and Banff, which were very close. We ate some meals out in Golden and brought food back to eat at the cabin other times. The property is very scenic and expansive. We didn't really know what to expect about this place, but we were more than pleasantly surprised. I can highly recommend this place.

What a beautiful property; Straight out of a picture book. Away from everything, but not too far. Our cottage was cute, cozy, had everything we needed in it for our weekend and was spotlessly clean. Sitting around the fire in the evening with hosts, Ranier, Renate and their faithful dog, Paula we felt right at home. Thank you for a lovely stay, we intend on returning in the Fall.

I stayed in one of the small cabins on the property with a guest from Europe and I just can't say enough about this property. I have travelled the world extensively and have seldom felt so at peace in a place. The location is stunning with the proximity of the mountains and the meadow with grazing horses and a swimming pond to delight in from your front porch. The cabins and lodge have been lovingly built and decorated by the owners of 30 years. They are meticulously clean and the kitchen is well appointed. Wood is meticulously piled on your porch ready for the fireplace in the cool evenings. The absolute quiet lets you hear the wolves howling in the night. The owner makes a bonfire for all the guests when it gets dark and stories from many different countries make the rounds. Such details abound on this property and make the stay unforgettable. You will find it hard to leave and might have to bribe yourself with the promise of returning again to this magical hideaway.

Best time ever. Warm and cozy. Little slice of paradise. Great assortment of wood for the stove to keep you warm at night. Paula the dog is fantastic. The horses come pretty close to see you. A must see and do for everyone.

We loved our 3 nights stay here in Moberly lodge. Myself, partner and 2 year old daughter were doing a 16 night road trip from Vancouver to Calgary. We've had a variety of accommodation so far. We've stayed in people's houses, hotels, motels, and apartments and this is by far the best place we have stayed. Don't get me wrong other places were more amenable with additional facilities, however, this place offers something else. We are very outdoorsy people, and love wildlife. When we imagine Canada and the way of life, this is what we imagine it to be like. Peaceful and surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, and nature. It's very family friendly. The little play area for children includes swings, slide and sand pit. Our little girl loved it, and the horses near by. The BBQ facility was amazing, and the lodge equipped with all the essentials including tea, coffee, sugar etc. There were plenty of towels/tea towels to use and although there is no bath we bathed our 2 year old in the kitchen sink which was plenty big enough! The fact there is no TV added to the tranquillity you get here. There is a wolf sanctuary near by, and one night we were cooking on the BBQ and heard the wolves howling in the distance. It was magical. It's a very special place, and we will be returning again if we visit the west of Canada. Things to note; 1.Bring mosquito repellent. It's unavoidable at certain times of year you'll get them here just because of where you are, but come prepared. 2.Ladies, bring shower caps if you don't want to get your hair wet. The shower is quite small & you can't avoid getting your hair wet. 3.Waste disposal policy here is to leave outside your door, and the hosts will collect daily.

We have had the pleasure of spending the Holidays in a lovely little cabin. It had everything we needed to spend wonderful time, cozy beds, convenient kitchen and and full bathroom to sooth the family's needs. The remote location offered us the much needed peace and quiet we were looking for. The kids adored the place as they could sled, go on the frozen pond and pet the horses. It's a paradise for dogs as well. Everyone enjoyed the stay.

Perfect relaxing holiday: wood burning stove, all interiors wood, warm colours in the bedroom, fantastic living room to relax in, beautiful hiking trail inside the property (it is that big) and horses that sometimes run with your car when you arrive. And another times they just walk around peacefully. Beautiful for couples, great for families that would like to reconnect with each other.

There are 3 cabins for rent on the property. We had the 1 bedroom and 2 beds in loft unit. Shared parking with unit next door. Full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, stove, frig, micro, toaster, and outside gas BBQ. Bring your own soaps and shampoos. Small shower, no AC, heaters, wood stove and ceiling fan. Nice views of the surrounding mountains, forests and horses on the pasture/lawn. Close enough to town for adventures and shopping. Bring Bug Juice...could stay outside for any length of time; running to and from the car; constantly killing mosquitoes that got inside the cabin and our car. Summer - bring a fan too.

The lodge is one of four on the property. Parking is right outside two of them. The owners have two horses plus a cat and a dog. You can walk around the place in 10-15 minutes. On the property there are no activities. Nearby you can visit a buffalo tour and a wolf park, both within 5-10 min drives. The cabin has an outdoortable with benches and a gasgrill. Our table nearly tipped over because of disrepair, so we ate on the porch instead. The grill came handy for breakfast cooking when electricity fell out. The cabin has a wooden stove and plenty of wood. Even though fire ban we were advised that we could heat the cabin with it on cold evenings and mornings. There is all you need for cooking your meals in the kitchen. Towels in the bathroom. I told the owner I am afraid of dogs, but we still had to ask three times for them to put the dog on a leash. It would come right up to our dinnertable and bark. Deers came up to the appletree to eat, but nothing else going on.
