We spent three nights at Home Lodge and our very high expectations, given the outstanding reviews, were totally exceeded. There is not a lot more that can said that others have not written or can be captured in words - you just need to go and experience it for yourself and you will not be disappointed. The space in the house given over to guests is huge with beautiful furnishings to relax upon whilst enjoying the warmth of the fire. Fabulous breakfasts, super comfortable bedrooms, and as for Lynn - Scotland should be very proud of you! A wonderful, welcoming and oh so helpful host for whom nothing is too much trouble. An absolutely fabulous place and like so many other reviewers we wish we could have stayed longer and hope it will be possible to return. Thank you so much Lynn and SIgi for creating such a wonderful place to stay.

Ahhh, thank you so much for your lovely words, they are sincerely and very much appreciated. We are so pleased you had a great stay. I know it's a long way to come and there are so many other countries in the world to visit, but we hope you can visit again sometime. We've had lots of great skiing this winter and gradually as the days get longer and warmer we feel Spring is coming. I'm itching to get into the garden. Hope you have a wonderful trip wherever to go this year. Kindest regards, Lynn

Once again, our family and extended family spent 3 nights at the Home Lodge. There is not much else that needs to be said about this place, except AWESOME. I do not easily recommend places to stay, however, this is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a while and it is literally at the end of the road. In addition, this year there was an abundance of deer wandering around the property most of the day. Please do not feed the deer, they get enough from the surrounding area. Can't wait to return again next year, Thanks Lynn!

Thank you for taking time to post a review for us at Home Lodge. It was, yet again, wonderful to have you to stay. It has been a pleasure for me to get to know you and your family and watch your grandchildren grow up and hopefully I see it for many more years. This week one of the calves decided the deer were eating too much of her hay so she started chasing them - it was hilarious and I think quite a good game enjoyed by all. Have a wonderful 2020 and here's to next year! Lynn

From the moment we stepped out of the car we felt the kind and effervescent welcome that was our hosts Lynn and Sigi. Home lodge was a fabulous space inside and out with lots to look at and enjoy around the house from art work to the tactile Wood shelves and peaceful library area. We met and chatted to some lovely people who were also staying and were looked after by Lynn who makes a delicious πŸ˜‹ breakfast and checks we have any advice that we need for the day So relaxing to sit out in the evening with a drink and enjoy the sound of the country and watch for the Red tailed hawk hunting in the field. I only wish we could have stayed for a week to take advantage of the peace and tranquility and to get to know everyone we met a little better. Thank you Lynn and Sigi for your warm heartedness, we loved our stay with you. ❀️🌺🌳🌼

Lovely room with large en suite with beautiful views across a picturesque valley. Our host, Lynne, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and she provided us with delicious breakfasts. She went above and beyond and even supplied us with muffins for our onward journey which were really appreciated! The property is situated just outside Golden and is easily accessible. This spacious, stylish, contemporary property was filled with light offering wonderful views across the gardens and countryside beyond. An absolute must if you are visiting this area.

Hello and thank you so very much for taking time to review your stay, it's much appreciated. Winter has arrived here already - we woke yesterday morning to an inch of snow, a surprise for us and the animals but guests have enjoyed taking photos of the winter wonderland, even if it is only September! Hope you had a fabulous time in Canada and will visit again. Lynn

We had 4 nights at this lovely modern Swiss Chalet type accommodation just 5 K out of Golden. The house is on a small farm with lovely highland cattle on the edge of a wood with a variety of wildlife including Bears and cougars(occasionally). Lynne our host made us feel very welcome and the house is very modern and we were told to treat it like our own. We had a large King size bed and ensuite overlooking the garden. There are 4 letting bedrooms and a large open plan style sitting room with a large country style dining table where all the joys and the troubles of the day were discussed in a friendly manner with the other guests over a delightful breakfast of fresh juice, fresh fruits daily, cereal, home made baking and a cooked or cold meats breakfast. Lynne was the perfect host and had great recommendations for local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our restful last few days at Home lodge and the warm ambience and lovely relaxed feel to this B&B is entirely down to the great host. She even managed to throw in a bear and two cubs walking through her garden on our second last day!! What more could you ask of the perfect location and host?

Hello! Well first of all thank you for both taking the time to write a review, and secondly for such lovely feedback. But I have to disagree that the ambience and lovely relaxed feel are entirely down to me - they are mostly to do with having people like you come to stay. People who want to chat and share your stories of the day but be engaging, warm and curious with all the other guests - that makes for my dream environment. So thank you again, I'm so pleased you got to relax on holiday and that it was here. Sadly no bears since you were here but the snow arrived yesterday so with that perhaps they will be actively around filling up for winter - like me :-) Lynn
