Wonderful welcome from staff and owner. Great log lodge with several choices of accommodations at reasonable prices that include a light breakfast. Owner was extremely helpful and flexible in dealing with our travel challenges. Nice common space for gathering and cooking. Very clean. Walls a bit thin . . . but everything else was super. Will stay there again for...

Stayed here prior to, and following a trip to a heli-served back-country lodge trip. The building is an amazing display of log craft, with an airy, open beautiful shared space with a massive open fire place. Staff cheerful, welcoming and friendly. Drinks cheap. Food is plentiful and ok (although the coffee was terrible though!) -- the spread for DIY lunch...

Spent 3 nights at KHRL. Had a lovely room overlooking the river spacious, comfortable and airy. The lodge is situated just outside the main town but only a pleasant 10 minute stroll along the river. The welcome we got was excellent and ALL staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were ok; cereal, fruit, yoghurt, muffins. You...

In the room we had we could hear when the room above us flushed their toilet! It sounded like a bath while it was refilling. The exterior looks beautiful, and the common seating areas are pretty nice, but it's sadly not worth the dinero. WiFi did not work.

Beautiful lodge. Private room totally over priced. No actually heat in the room, only a rad. Bathroom floor absolutely freezing. Bed was terrible, rock hard and could feel the springs. Paid $143 for a totally sub par room. No hair dryer. Would recommend any number of other hotels in the area for a much more reasonable price. Won't stay here...

A tree-barren property in a light-industrial part of town, we remained hopeful as we entered the Kicking Horse River Lodge. I said hello and gave our names to the fellow at the desk, but the first and almost only thing he said was, "How do you want to pay?" Well... nice to meet you too. The room was adequate for...

Unfortunately with Golden being fully booked this is where we have ended up after having to extend our stay by 1 night. I tried to have an open mind but when paying hotel prices this place is very overpriced. Do not get confused with all the accommodation called Kicking Horse. We had two delightful nights at Kicking Horse B&B. Lovely...

I didn't really realize this could be classified as a hostel, but that may make sense. When I checked in, the front desk staff was very friendly. They gave me a number of restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the wireless internet worked well. The Kicking Horse River was just outside, and you could easily walk along...

stayed for only one night, but it was clean, tidy and beds in the dorm were more than adequate. Did not eat at the hostel, but the facility was licensed and did enjoy that. Was only a 5 minute walk to downtown and the views out front were amazing. There was also plenty of parking if you need it. There...

I visited this lodge last year in winter and was super impressed with the set up, so having to stop by Golden during this years ski trip vacation, I decided to stay here. The lodge is terrific and very, very impressive. It's simply beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and beds are good. The view outside in either season is...
