I am never one for camping or the out doors, however we were passing and needed somewhere to same, so my husband booked a log cabin, it was clean nice smell, every thing you needed was in the cabin.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Good lookout spot

How you will need to bring bug spray or you will be eaten alive.

Great location. Cabins are a little rustic, but comfortable. No internet, but DVD's available. They provided bottled water, as tap water is not yet approved for drinking. Hot plate and microwave only in cabin, but you can find good pizza in Golden.

Manager doesn’t enforce quite hours and doesn’t ask noisy guests to keep their voices down in the common areas. I stayed in the Bunkies and no food is allowed. We HAD to have breakfast and supper in the common kitchen ( attached to the fire pit area) There was a group of about 20 ppl that was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. Before this group coming into the kitchen there had been 17 people in the kitchen. It was not library quiet but “ normal “
This noisy group yelled from the kitchen to the fire pit for hours. They yelled from cabin to cabin. I asked the manager and then the owner if they could talk to the group. The manager looked like a scared puppy and the owner said the noise isn’t bothering him😳and that the group is paying more than me so I need to put up with it 😳😳😳 He said quiet hours are after 10 but I could hear the noise from my cabin well after 11pm.
. I will continue to look for alternate accommodations with staff who care about all guest’s’ experiences.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View Cabins. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and unique. The community kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. We loved sitting by the fire pit in the evenings chatting with other guests and staff. We loved the rustic feel with all the creature comforts. Definitely recommend this place for people exploring the several National Parks in the area.

I am never really sure what to expect from these rustic cabin type places but this was a nice one !
I recieved an email full of info regarding check in etc which was good, the cabin was a decent size, nice shower and basic kitchen equipment. it was cosy and warm ( i had the window open) and very very quiet.
There are some communal areas which was a nice touch, but I didn't use them so cant comment further.
Good value for money, would reccomend if you're in the area.

We had the opportunity to stay at this hidden gem last weekend. It was a similar price to cabins with no services or indoor plumbing. They were clean and very comfortable! Our trip to Golden was busy so knowing we had this lovely place waiting let us enjoy the vacation more.

We stayed here for a night during our 2 week road trip. Its a cool location up in the mountains. Clean cosy cabins nested up in golden wilderness. Theres a big fire pit and great for meeting other travelers. The manager Jim was very friendly and gave us some good tips for sight seeing. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again. Thanks JIm

I got to spend the long weekend with a couple of friend there and we had a blast! OMG, what a great place to enjoy the nature. You get to stay in comfy cabins but also get that wilderness vibe, absolutely amazing!
The staff the was super covid-orientated, no problem whatsoever with that. I highly recommend this place.

All the amenities, great views and the owner is so nice. We found this a bit last minute and couldn't have been more pleased with how cozy and lovely the cabin was. Had a little kitchenette, hot showers and a nice little shelf of DVDs. Highly recommended.

How far of a walk is it from parking lot to cabins?? Thanks in advance!

Each cabin has their own parking space, and if not, the car park is only 100 meters from the cabins

I recall a small coffee maker in the room. No mini refrigerator. The main kitchen is in an outdoors building, They have coffee, tea, plates, cups, water, utensils, knives, cooking utensils, awesome BBQs (3 very big ones). Rustic picnic tables and benches made out of giant logs. It is a pretty cool kitchen.
