Got the last room late at night passing through! Decent place to stay. Comfortable bed. Unfortunately there was no coffee machine in the room. A place where you actually used a key and not a key card. Unfortunately the parking was not the best. Not suited for big trucks and one truck blocked two spots so we could not park by our room. Good last minute stop.

Very welcoming host. Quiet, clean, and comfortable room. Very nicely appointed but not trendy, which is fine by us! Ground floor hears some from above. The host is friendly and is doing the best he can as an independent owner!
It's a great stopping place with lots of food choices nearby!

Great little place conveniently located on the main street through town. Room was clean. Bed was great. Had a great sleep. Randy, the owner, was very pleasant as he checked us in. Got photos in front today the Model A car in the driveway. Great experience. Will definitely be back.

I booked a non-smoking room. Imagine my surprise when walking into a heavily odoured room that obviously had been smoked in. I asked for another room but was informed there were none available. It was late, so I was resigned to a night of burying my nose in the pillow as to not smell the smoke. No surprise the night didn't go well and I woke early (no alarm) just to get outta there. A badly soiled towel (pic attached) was on the shelf for customer use. I don't even want to think what it was used for let alone put out for consumer use. The lights in the bathroom (pic attached) kinda symbolize the 'standard' of this motel. The sign (pic attached) declares, "clean, comfortable, just like home" - true if you live in a barn. I will not stay there again and I encourage you to do likewise. The manager on site was polite and even tried to be helpful. He should have offered a deep discount as I was effectually paying for something I didn't buy.

We stayed here years ago and found it basic but very clean. We were travelling through the area again and the best western was sold out so thought we would try it again. we found check in to be friendly but room was sub-par. Sheets dirty and found hairs in bed…yuck! Sheets smelled dirty..pretty sure they didn’t change the sheets..double yuck! If we weren’t exhausted from travelling we would have changed hotels. Towels were dingy, smelly and yellowed as were the sheets. I don’t mind staying in on older motel but it needs to be clean! We wont be back. I don’t know who wrote raving review about this place…it’s fair at best n my books if not poor. The photos make it look better than it was

I stayed at the Model A Inn on my way through town and ended up with bed bug bites all over my body. Thankfully they did not travel with me to my end destination a work camp because that could have been a major incident. I will never stay there again, and I recommend that any travelers check the rooms before going to bed. Get your motel fumigated!!

We loved this little motel. The rooms are CLEAN. Felt safe. Dog friendly. Offered space to walk the dog. Looked like other guests were visiting on the patio. We would go back there if in the area. Thank you.

As mentioned in other reviews, the staff is quite friendly. Smart marketing as the updated and clean exterior sadly to do match the interior. Rooms are dated, worn out, and need some attention. Needed a better cleaning, and the mattress is firm. left over food in the freezer portion of the fridge was a disappointment. It must be tough to operate a motel but you really could do some more work on the inside to be sure.

no clock/no coffee machine. tub too narrow to lay in comfortably.had to unplug fridge[too loud]...not impressed at all. do not recommend this motel at all. worst sleep ive had in a long time. i wont be comming back and will disuade anyone else from doing so

Nothing too Special, but one of the better values available. In Cranbrook, its clean and comfortable. There really are limited 4 stars that budget travelers would think are good value so u have to find something of a 2 or 3 star and in that regard Model A, Nomad , Days Inn, Sandman are all properties I have stayed in that had nice friendly welcoming staff and decently clean,rooms between 70 annd 100CA. Maybe even a little less. Of the two higher priced hotels the Prestifge and the Best western I have only stayed at the Prestige, on several occasions over the past 10 years. Its a nice, very clean hotel however one side of the hotel backs on to railway tracks. If you are a light sleeper you may want to request a streetside room there.
