We have stayed at Elizabeth Lake Lodge a number of times over the years on our way to see our daughter in BC. Each time we have been impressed by the cleanliness of the room, the friendly service from the owners, the comfort of the bed, and the many little "extras" that are provided to make your stay more enjoyable--much value for money at this lodge. We would highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed at this lodge on Tuesday, October 28/20 and were delighted with the friendly reception from the owners George and Rachel. The rooms were spotless, the beds were very comfortable, the air-conditioning worked and we had a lovely view of the bird sanctuary. We will definitely stay there again.

We want to say a big thanks to George & Rachel for being so accommodating and understanding. The recommended room King Executive suite was perfect for us as a couple. George even took time to describe everything over the phone, the virtual tour via the website was helpful. We stayed over 12 nights and George even gave us the best weekly rate and was flexible to charge only the nights we stayed upon check out - which is very appreciated! Rachel even made sure we had more items in the kitchen for our longer stay: bigger pot for soup, blender for smoothies, coffee, coffee filter etc. George would call in and check with us after a few days to see if there's anything else we would need, housekeeping, linens, towels, toiletries etc. Overall, the BEST in Cranbrook for sure! Without a doubt, highly recommended! Thank you 💙

This is a terrific motel and we only found it by reading reviews on Trip Advisor so, thank you TA reviewers! We just stayed one night as we were travelling from Lake Louise to Waterton Park. We had a room at the back of the property and it was very quiet. Paul checked us in and walked us to our unit. After checking in, we walked in the natural area behind the motel for about an hour, tried the mini golf and enjoyed an excellent pizza dinner and salad delivered from Perry’s while sitting outside our unit. The kitchen area was very well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc., the main room and bathroom were spotless, the linens on the beds were crisp and the bed was made with care. I know some people have mentioned the mini golf is a challenge but I did get two holes in one! Whoever planned the mini golf had a very creative mind because there were some very unusual holes. Mini golf is half price for guests. There are a number of beautiful murals throughout the property. For me, the only problem was that the ice cream shop closed too early! We were impressed with this property and the price point was excellent for the offering!

Although we spent only one night at the ELL, I would choose this property for every visit to Cranbrook. The hotel is charming. Although rooms have exterior opening doors, it seemed quite safe (and in COVID times actually safer than interior corridors. Room 36 is known as the "Library Room" due to a large bookshelf in the dining area. The kitchen had two under counter refrigerators, a stove, and microwave -everything necessary for spending nights dining in to enjoy a good read. The proprietor explained that the beds came from England and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful night's sleep. I did occasionally hear the train (tracks are across the street from the hotel), but not so much that it was annoying.

Visiting in winter, I was pleased to have a warm tile floor in the bathroom and a warm towel awaiting me after a shower thanks to the heated towel rack.

Although you will need a vehicle to access downtown or shopping from ELL, there's a nice path by the lake to get in some walking. In warmer months, the lodge operates a mini-golf course, so there's no shortage of things to do in the immediate area.

I don't know how other ELL rooms compare, but I'd definitely recommend a stay at the ELL in the Library Room.

We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay in Cranbrook! The check in is listed till 11, but we were running late and they stayed open an extra 30 minutes for us. It was clear that they cared about their guests. We were greeted with local chocolate and help finding our room. Our room was a room with two queen’s connected to a room with a queen and was perfect for us (parents and adult daughter). The kitchen was perfect for making breakfast in the morning. The hotel also is located right on a marsh and bird preserve providing plenty of short walking trails right off the hotel. There is also an excellent mini golf course located on site (discount for hotel guests) and the homemade shaved ice was delicious! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Probably the nicest place we’ve been to as a Lodge/Hotel/Motel. When we drove into to the parking lot, we were met by the owner,(really? Who does that?) we go to check in, he offers us some expensive chocolates, shows us our room, not like most others who tell you or give you a site map, the Lodge has been completely re-done and enlarged. Very nice and quiet rooms, beautiful beds, goat milk soaps, and other very nice things. There is a lake close by with walking trails throughout. I recommend this place to anyone. Also kitchen units available.

My wife and I stayed here for one night after a hospital appointment. It was perfect for us. Our room was around the back adjacent to the Elizabeth Lake bird sanctuary with bark covered trails right from our door - perfect for our pet-friendly room. Our kitchenette was very well laid out, furnished and equipped to a high modern standard and spotlessly clean. This is an exceptionally well maintained property. We will definitely stay here again.

This place was a delightful surprise! From the friendly greeting (& memorizing of our names) to the escorted key opening of the homey room. The place shows pride of ownership in every detail from the meticulous upkeep of the entire place to the flower boxes outside the room & flowers inside on the table. The room was so cozy with its well-stocked kitchenette to the comfortable beds/pillows to the new tubs & great shower pressure along with the thoughtful toiletries like goat's milk soap & sea mineral shampoo/conditioner. Check out the parking lot that is so cute with its fancy parking stripes & miniature golf is the icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back soon & linger a little longer!

We have stayed at Elizabeth Lake Lodge several times over the last few years and it is consistently great! Comfy beds, well equipped kitchenette rooms, decent sized refrigerator and more. First BBQ’s are appreciated. Exceptionally clean rooms, and personal touches like a real potted orchid on the table and remembering that I like milk in your tea are so much appreciated. George and Rachel do a fantastic job! We will be back!
Oh, and it’s dog friendly too!

This lodge is very well insulated. You hear a little bit of noise from the railway a times but very little. Traffic noise is not an issue.
