Haideh and Walter certainly know how to make you feel like you are at home. Beautiful house, gorgeous view, and amazing breakfasts. We wish we could have stayed longer, that hot tub looks very inviting. We will be back.

My husband and I had a very brief but beautiful stay at Belle Vue Bed and Breakfast. The house and views were stunning. Hosts Walter and Haideh were marvellous. The breakfasts cooked by Walter were superb. We arrived very late and Walter waited up for us to be able to check us in. He also gave us some food to take with us the night before we left as we had to leave extremely early, way before breakfast. Just wish we could have stayed for longer. Would definitely stay there again.

We spent 2 nights at this idyllic B&B - at the end of a cul de sac overlooking the Georgia Strait. Walter and Heidagh were most hospitable - and the dogs were gorgeous! Delicious breakfasts using home grown and locally sourced produce. Lovely ensuite bedroom with an amazing view. We had one full day to see the area - Walter was most helpful with an itinerary.
We found good restaurants in Courtenay: though this required a 15-20 minute car journey from the B&B.

We stayed at Belle-Vue for two days and right from the start, Walter and Haideh welcomed us like family! Even their two friendly dogs greeted us. The location is fabulous, quiet and waterfront. Breakfast was a gourmet treat. They also were great at suggesting places to visit that we would not have found on our own. Thank-you for a wonderful experience!....Annie & George

This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we came by it quite by accident as our children were camping nearby at Bates Beach campsite. We needed accommodation nearby and what a wonderful surprise. Our hosts, Walter and Haideh could not have been more welcoming. We were treated like old friends. Our room was divine with a beautiful view of the ocean and the sound of waves washing up on the beach. We stayed two nights (we wished it could have been longer) and were greeted each morning with a fabulous breakfast. Haideh makes awesome juices with all kinds of goodies to start the day off and Walter made delicious shirred eggs with fresh herbs. Haideh even printed off the recipe for me to try and make it at home. We stayed in Gabi's Room which was lovely with a breathtaking view and a lovely cozy bed to curl up in and watch a movie from their vast collection. There were snacks in our room to enjoy and a small fridge with pop and water. A relaxing jacuzzi and a cozy fireplace added to the ambience. I would definitely recommend this lovely get away and have now become a B & B convert. Thank you Walter and Haideh. (Tip and Pocos too)

We recently spent a most pleasant 2 nights in Pascha’s Room at Belle Vue B&B, just outside Courtenay, on an exquisite, oceanfront property. The lovely lawn and garden end right at the grasses at the edge of the beach, so the views from there and the house are marvellous.

There are several pieces of garden art and whimsy, in both the front and back gardens and lawns, to keep you smiling as you explore the property. And the amazing quietness was so wonderful … I heard cheery birds chirping and flitting about, and a woodpecker in the distance, and watched lots of gulls and water birds on the ocean swells.

Pascha’s Room is on the 2nd level, up a graceful curved staircase. It has a sliding glass door out to the shared balcony, with stunning views out over the beach, and beyond to Texada Island, and Powell River on the mainland. This is a large room, with very comfy bed with night tables and reading lamps (and phone and alarm clock), and a small window beside the bed, for extra daylight, and another view over the water.

The room has a considerable selection of books and board games on easy to see, open shelves, a TV, a wee games table with 2 chairs and a floor lamp, a vanity with stool and lamp, a large closet, and a bar fridge with instant coffee and tea fixings on top (plus mugs and drinking glasses), along with a basket of naughty chocolatey treats and crispy snax, and a variety of bottled water and soft drinks in the fridge.

The big, bright ensuite bathroom has a large, glass-doored, step-in shower (no tub) and a towel warmer, and a small stand beside the pedestal sink, to hold our toiletries (there’s a hair dryer provided).

And, always a treat for me who loves daylight, there are TWO windows (with privacy blinds), so there’s plenty of welcome natural light. The larger window is openable, to let in the refreshing sea air, and create a gentle cross-breeze when you open the sliding doors at the other end of the room (the bathroom’s openable window and the sliding balcony door in the room have screens).

Also, the morning sun streams in through that larger bathroom window, along with the sounds of the forested countryside, and that’s such a delightful way to start the day.

Although, an even better way to start the day than that, is with the splendid breakfast served by our very gracious and welcoming hosts, Heideh and Walter. We sat at the dining table, with its fabulous ground floor views over the beach. We really enjoyed the yummy meal and excellent coffee and Haideh’s superb home made juices, along with the wonderful conversations, and the glorious views.

I highly recommend Belle Vue B&B for its quiet, countryside, water’s edge location with lovely gardens and beach access, and for the delicious breakfast, and for Haideh and Walter’s friendly, gracious hospitality.

It was a great review that lead us to the Belle Vue in the first place so I hope we can influence others. The place far exceeded our expectations. As soon as we arrived you could feel your gears changing to a nice easy pace. The surroundings and sound of the waves just demand it. Our hosts Walter Haideh (as well as Tip and Pocos the dogs) were just great. They provided just enough input and guidance to make you feel at home and enough space and privacy to make you feel that you were away. We enjoyed soaking in the hot-tub on a cold rainy fall day as well as beach combing after a day of storm watching. Don't wait for the summer as we had a fabulous time on a stormy weekend. The food was good enough to require a whole other review. We will be back.

Walter and Heidah were very welcoming and our room (Gabi) was spacious and comfortable. Great amenities in the room - lovely toiletries, telescope, informational books and a very comfy bed. We had great views of the garden and out to sea - so wonderful sunsets and sunrises. Breakfast was delicious and we were were particularly happy when we were given a 'to go' breakfast the morning of our early start. We can highly recommend this B&B.

Just what we needed - a comfortable, well equipped room in a marvellous setting. Lovely grounds decorated with interesting art pieces, hot tub with a view, and seafront vista from the bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Walter and Haideh - and their gorgeous, friendly dogs, too. A very pleasant stay - thank you!
