My husband and i stayed at Windborne is September 2014 (I am a bit slow posting this). It was fabulous stay and we would without a doubt stay there again and again. The grounds and gardens are beautifully landscaped by owner, Marc who is quite friendly and outgoing. The home is filled with art created by his wife, Mirja. The...

Thank you for taking your time to write this excellent review. We are glad you liked everything we had to offer. We were very fortunate to see the mother bear and her 3 cubs. That is a rare site even for us. We hope your bike trip went well. We look forward to hosting you once again any time you...

Windborne was a half way stop from Vancouver to Glacier National Park U.S.A.in late August 2014. It was a shame we could only stay one night. The house, garden, room & breakfast were amazing. This topped off with Marc's cooking & stories, plus Mirja's art made our stay memorable. The Moonlight suite was perfect with a large & modern en-suite...

Marc is a gracious host, and amazing breakfast chef, besides being able to regale guests with stories of worldwide travels. Mirja wasn't at home this evening, but WOW - her art is exquisite! Almost better than being at home....only because I prefer a higher loft pillow. Will be staying here again!

On July 21st I started work with a company in Castlegar, B.C. and as part of the package they provided accomadation at a local bed and breakfast. Within minutes I knew the location chosen by the company would not work so I requested to be moved to Windborne Bed and Breakfast. I stayed there from July 28th through to October...

I had a great time! I spent 3 days lovely days enjoying the company of Marc and Mirja while enrolled in Mirja's fantastic guest artist workshop with Doug Swinton. It was a bonus to be staying at the B&B at the same time. Morning tea was spent in the outdoor hot tub gazing at Marc's spectacular gardens and the autumn...

Lovely property with gardens, very clean and modern home. The showers are spa worthy! Breakfast was cooked to order, with wonderful suggestions that included candied salmon scrambled eggs. Marc is a congenial host and knows a lot about the area. This B&B makes Castlegar a place to come back to and explore.
