Disappointed with the view from our room at check in. Staff went above and beyond and after some shifting around based on client need, we were offered a move to a room with a spectacular view...we were beyond happy
The Heron's Landing is a great place to stay while visiting Campbell River. We stayed for 2 nights in a one bedroom suite. The suite was very clean, had a well appointed kitchen, very comfy bed, and was nice and quiet. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly.
This was our fourth stay with Herons Landing. Very comfortable clean rooms and very friendly staff. We look forward to our stay here when we visit Campbell River. This is our accommodation of choice as the rooms are well appointed and staff are very professional and friendly
This was an okay place to stay. Positives - clean, price, easy check in, large Area, view of ocean, didn’t hear road traffic Negatives - had a bit of a musty smell and very thin walls (or floors). I heard someone snoring before I went to bed and still after I woke up in morning. I also heard people having conversations....I feel like I maybe could’ve participated - two men and a female. Also underground parking space is tight - I got there late and others hadn’t parked well....not really the hotel’s fault. There was no breakfast during Covid times. I also arrived in evening and had to call to find out where to find room key and room number. This could’ve been emailed out to me in advance.
I pass through Campbell River on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada often and i have stayed at many of the hotels in the area. last August i stayed at Heron's Landing Hotel for a few nights and was thrilled to discover that in the breakfast area there are two hot plates and the ingredients for guests to make their own omelette. how unusual! i had never been offered that by any other hotel anywhere (and i travel a lot). there was grated cheese, green onions, red peppers, etc., all cut up and ready for use. it was wonderful to be able to eat an omelette the way i like it; rather than the common scrambled eggs that are often too hard and cold and tasting stale. i stayed at Heron's Landing again in january, 2020, and it was again the nicest, most friendly and accommodating hotel in the area. it is reasonably priced and all of the staff that i have met are superior. i have finally found my home away from home in Campbell River!…
