I thought Coast Hotels were decent - I was sadly mistaken. This hotel was horrible. We stayed for two nights in May, and that will be the last time we’ll use Coast Hotels. What we found was: • We opened the door to our room and were greeted by a completely shredded sheer curtain billowing in the breeze caused by the air conditioner (see photograph). Any person servicing this room had to have noticed the jagged hole in this curtain. The rest of the ‘sheer’ curtain had numerous horizontal tears that showed through the ‘black-out’ curtain. • The bathroom counter was covered in some sort of grit, which we had to wipe off before using. • There were two paper cups for coffee but no glasses in the bathroom. • The carpets were not vacuumed, and the room just seemed to be dingy. This hotel is centrally located in Campbell River and the rooms are very comfortable too. Staff at check in are very efficient and the restaurant staff were delightful. There is a breakfast included which is quite adequate and there is also a breakfast menu you can order from. The restaurant seems a little tired but the food is good. we stayed on the second floor and there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues you need to ensure you have a ground floor room.

We stayed here for one night. The reason why we chose the hotel was because their site said they had a hot tub. And we were both really looking forward to using it. Much to our disappointment it was out of order and they did not know when it would be running again. So be sure to check before you stay here if that is one of the reasons you are staying there. Our room was nice though. A comfortable king size bed, comfortable pillows. Average size TV. Small bar fridge, robes in closet and ironing board. There is a coffee maker with Starbucks coffee . There was no air conditioner, but there was a fan, and the windows opened for a nice breeze to come in. The view was nice. We watched a couple of cruise ships go by and other boats. The hotel is located right next to a mall with a Shoppers Drug mart in it. The hotel is very close to the Quadra island ferry. The restaurant in the hotel was not open for dinner, but was open for a free buffet in the morning, which consisted of scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal , banana bread, yogurt, fruit, bread, coffee and tea. …

I would recommend this hotel. The staff was amazing, the view was great and I really enjoyed the free breakfast. The location was fabulous. I was able to get to the waterfront super fast and I loved how the hotel was right by amazing restaurants.

No dining services outside of a morning continental breakfast. Rooms outdated, furniture worn, windows single pane, didn't have housekeeping service for two night stay. Poorly run and managed. Would not recommend at all.

Older hotel, definitely needs a major facelift. Single pane windows, no air conditioning, restaurant closed, housekeeping lacking, generally worn out facility. Bathroom was small, water was hot (a plus), furniture worn, king bed ok, but doesn't overcome all the downsides.

Hotel was very clean-breakfast was excellent, staff friendly-waterfront view lovely and location excellent We plan on returning at the same time next September to attend a live production of a Neil Diamond impersonator at the Tidemark Theatre. An added bonus is that the ferry to Quadra Island is just across the street.

I stayed at the Coast Discovery Inn one night in September. Had a long day traveling and the Coast was just what I needed. Front desk was quick and efficient when I checked in. Room was clean and comfortable. I'll admit the king sized bed made the large room feel small, but did I mention the King Sized Bed! Very comfortable. Decent shower pressure, and plenty of hot water in the morning. The included breakfast was also good with plenty of options.

A front desk agent went above and beyond to help to my party with a reservation mix up. She was so helpful, and saved us a lot of worry. Couldn't have been happier with her. Big shout out to her to saving our trip, and doing so with a very positive attitude!
