This was our second visit this year, last time we loved the property but were disappointed by the room. This time was a near perfect stay with a much nicer room.
My wife booked us the Steakcaycation package to celebrate my birthday. It comes with a 3 course steak dinner at the on-site restaurant, Atlas, and is an amazing value (more on that later).
The woman who checked us in was amazing, she wished me a Happy Birthday and was very on the ball about recognizing our Platinum status. We were fortunate to get upgraded a junior suite on the 20th floor and I highly recommend paying extra (or leveraging your status) to get one of these suites! The room was very spacious with a king sized bed, a large bathroom with a massive shower, Nespresso machine and cool motorized blinds. The views in this part of Burnaby aren't stunning but we did have peakaboo views of the Vancouver Skyline and the North Shore Mountains.
One of the hotel's greatest strengths is Atlas Steak and Seafood. A restaurant that manages to be modern and old school at the same time. We sat in the lounge area to enjoy the amazing piano player and our set course steak dinner was amazing, they even flambeed a baked Alaska table side for our dessert. If you can find a dinner package thru the hotel do so, it's an amazingly deal!
We were a little disappointed that the breakfast restaurant was closed, we were able to order breakfast thru room service but were disappointed by the food being served in disposable take out boxes.
Overall a fantastic stay. We'll be back!

First time at this hotel, but won’t be the last. Check-in was fairly painless, and the counter staff was extremely pleasant and professional. We were informed of two separate places to park our vehicle, so parking was ample, and complementary.
The room:
More than adequate. The room was clean, and well maintained. When I consider the last place we stayed at in Osoyoos with a similar price point, there is zero comparison. I won’t mention the name of the place that had obvious Mickey Mouse repairs and shoddy, half A’d attempts at maintenance. This place was top notch for the money spent. frankly, the comfort level of the bedding and bed itself is causing me to consider replacing our bed at home… Excellent nights sleep.
Overall:
From hallways, to common areas, to every square inch of the room, this entire property is very clean. there is obvious attention to detail in the upkeep and/or maintenance of the property. every staff member we encountered was friendly, and accommodating, ensuring our questions were answered, and that we were satisfied with the answer received. This place is highly recommended.

Convenient location, lots of amenities, clean room - a little overpriced. Excellent service. Fitness centre is a little small but adequate if there are only a few guests. The breakfast restaurant is super quiet mid-week after 9am so it's a great option during a pandemic!

We booked a package that included dinner at the Atlas Steak and Seafood House. The restaurant was amazing! It's very hip and modern but with an old school (in a good way) menu. We also ate in the hotel's villa restaurant for breakfast. Both meals were fantastic and although my wife and I aren't big gamblers, it was fun having a large casino on site. You could easily spend a couple of days here without leaving the property. If I was jus reviewing the common areas this would be a 5 star review. But....
We reserved a city view king room. We're gold elite and usually get small upgrades and I'd requested a modest upgrade to a room with a skyline view (it was a week night in Oct and the website showed plenty of availability for all room categories). Upon arrival we were originally told that there were no upgrades available but halfway through check in the clerk changed his mind and said he found something. We arrived at our room to find we had a beautiful view of the industrial looking roof of the casino and the highway!
The room itself was dark and very bland. This is an older property and the room had a very dated feel to it. Some of the furnishings had been upgraded while other furniture was banged up and clearly very old. There were two paper cups by the coffee machine but no other cups or glasses of any kind. This was the first Marriott property we've stayed at that didn't have at least water glasses (even the most humble Fairfield has at least a couple of plastic cups in the bathroom!). To be fair, front desk did promptly send up wine glasses when requested and there were a couple of free water bottles in tbe fridge.
The bathroom was tiny, we're talking the door almost hits the toilet when you close it! Definitely not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel.
Although I didn't love my view of the highway, this is a conventient location and I appreciated the free parking and the free electric vehicle charging. Other than the guy that checked us in, the staff were friendly and helpful. And, as I've already mentioned, the food is amazing. That said, I can't imagine staying here again when there are so many nicer Marriott options in the lower mainland.

A hotel that’s a convention center with a casino. The casino is on the smaller end and has a sad vibe to it. He poker rooms is large and filled with many guests with a few stringers.
Comfort - 3
Renovations must have been done but the hotel is a little dated and may be time for another upgrade. The rooms feel more like a 90s hotel room than modern.
Service - 4
Staff were all very courteous ave attentive to the guests needs. Felt very welcome and important.
Location - 2
Out in a very secluded area with nothing around. If you stay here you will need a car to go anywhere.
May skip out in coming back and choose another location.

Delta or Marriott should not be hanging their name on the side of this hotel. It is a casino with a hotel on the side. The choices for breakfast were eat in your room, go hungry, or find another restaurant down the road. For dinner we were told at Atlas Restaurant that having dinner was impossible without a reservation and that this is usually explained at check in. It wasn’t. The other choice was to get in a line of about 30 or 40 people trying to get into the casino. The other choice given was to call a Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, etc. Thankfully a Manager squeezed us into the lounge. Just open your restaurant. It can’t be closed due to COVID as there is a COVID petrie dish operating as a casino only 75 meters away.
We were upgraded as in put on a higher floor. Room was clean but rather sparse for furniture. Lots of room for a 4 or 5 foot round table so that one could have breakfast in the room not on a 14” round end table.
I have rated as “average” because I give high marks to the staff. They were apologetic and I think slightly embarrassed a Marriott/Delta does not have an operating restaurant.
Go to this hotel to use the casino. Do not go expecting either a “Marriott or Delta experience” from a pure hotel perspective. Did I mention, open your restaurant!

Dear bnrfra, I hope you are well! Thank you for your recent stay with the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre and taking your valuable time out to provide feedback regarding your stay. Without feedback like yours we will not be able to better ourselves and make memorable guest experiences, so we truly appreciate it! I apologize that we did not meet our usual standard of excellence during your stay with us as restaurant options at the hotel can get busy especially on the weekends. There might be few other options at the Casino which will have later opening times but I totally understand that this can be frustrating on a guests stand point. Rest assured I will share your feedback with our Food and Beverage team to see what we can offer for our guests once Atlas finishes their dinner service. I am pleased to hear that you were complimentary upgraded to a room on a higher floor and the room is clean. I appreciate your feedback in regards to the guestroom layout, I will be sharing this with my Rooms Division Team to take a detailed look so if changes or updates are needed we can action it accordingly to ensure all guests’ needs are met. bnrfra, I want to establish myself as a point of contact for all future stays and also want to offer a complimentary upgrade to our best available room based on availability for your next visit and breakfast for two at the Villa Bistro. Please reach out to me directly when you have your next stay dates finalized and it will be my absolute pleasure to personally take care of your reservation. Once again thank you so much for your feedback and I am excitedly waiting to welcoming you back to can enjoyable Delta experience in the future. Lok Rathore Manager, Rooms Operations. I booked a large event here (135 room nights) and the event management staff could not have been more helpful or professional. Communication was great, and they were very flexible. Would definitely book here again.
The hotel is nice, with good, clean rooms accessed by plenty of working elevators (not always a given in a tower hotel). Parking is free and plentiful and there are even a couple of EV chargers (not free) there. The lobby is attractive and has a Starbucks. Other than that, the food options are of mixed quality. The 'Personas' bar-nightclub food is simply awful - no one had a good meal there other than a grilled cheese sandwich; the steak bar and the Chinese seafood restaurant and good but expensive; and the breakfast experience is patchy (long waits, and they add 18% service charge to the bill, and then ask for a tip!). But the biggest failing is the absence of a bar in the hotel, other than in the middle of a loud, crowded casino.

On April 28th our flight to Vancouver was late arriving and the hotel we had reservations with gave away our room. We were stranded at the airport at 11pm with no where to go and our cruise ship didn't leave till 4pm the next day.
I called Expedia customer service and they comped us a room here at the Delta Marriott. We got there super late and the staff was very kind and with excellent customer service skills. They gave us complimentary late check out which was very much appreciated after what we had been through. The room was spotless and the bed was heavenly. We slept very well

We booked this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. The room lacked proper furnishing. There was only one chair in the room for 2 guests. Not possible to have in room breakfast, only one person could sit at a very small table. Watching TV, one guest had to be on the bed. When checking out I enquired why the room was so sparsely outfitted. I was told that this hotel is business oriented, and most of the time there is only one person in the room. So why do they ask how many guests are coming? I don't mind paying Marriott rates, for Marriott services. But I do mind not receiving the services.
We have been in three different brand hotels in the last 10 days. Every one was more comfortable than this Marriott. We have been visiting Delta in Burnaby from even before Marriott took over. It is time to spend our money somewhere else.

I booked this hotel through hotwire the night before and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and exceptional customer service.
Ricardo at the front was a highlight! He’s very personable, and made an effort to actually connect, laugh and chat with me as he was helping me get checked in. Somebody give him a raise!
I was given a room on the 11th floor and as you can see from the photos, it was beautiful. I loved it that the TV had been personalized with my name on it! That’s a nice personal touch. The room was incredibly clean, and as a cleaner myself, I have a fairly high standard when it comes to cleanliness, but no complaints here. They did an exceptional job cleaning especially during this COVID season.
So thankful to have stayed here. Will definitely return. Thank you so much☺️

I'll answer myself. It's 90Mb down/up. More than 10 times the other Marriott hotel in Burnaby.
Yes. There’s a bar in the casino and they serve drinks at tables and machines
15 minute walk. Just across the highway. 5 minute cab or Uber ride
There is no indoor smoking allowed in Canada. There are specified outdoor smoking areas. Everything indoors in any public space, restaurants, etc. are all smoke free.
Don't believe there is.
