After failing to find last minute accommodation in Vancouver itself, I settled on the Hilton Metrotown and it was a pleasant surprise. The location turned out to be perfect. In a great suburban neighbourhood of shops and restaurants and one of the biggest Mall’s I have ever seen. A Skyline station on the Expo line to Vancouver was very near the hotel. The trains ran every few minutes, it was so easy. It was 15-20 mins to the Stadium/Arena/Chinatown stop and then Granville, Burrard, and Waterfront in the heart of the city. The hotel itself is modern though not new, but from I saw it was very well run. I think it is still getting back to normal after the pandemic, I had to ask for glasses and cups for the room instead of paper cups. But that was taken care of swiftly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble throughout my stay. Every staff member I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was surprisingly good when open for dinner. The only minor criticism I had was that it took an age to be checked in for breakfast. I am not sure why it was such a process and it meant it did not take long for a queue to form. But other than that, I have only good things to report from my stay at Hilton Metrotown in Burnaby. It is well worth considering for any visit to Vancouver for business or pleasure.…
Good hotel choice in Burnaby. Attached to Crystal Mall, walking distance to Metrotown. Lounge was available with coffee and soft drinks, this is remarkable as all other hotels generally still have their lounges closed using pandemic as an excuse. However, they did not offer breakfast even though I'm a Diamond tier member so it's supposed to be included.
Booked directly with Hilton as a Diamond member and was upgraded to a King Suite with City View on arrival. Was not expecting breakfast to be available but it was a nice surprise when I found out complimentary breakfast buffet was included. The buffet was nothing special, but still nice to have. Executive lounge on the 18th floor had plenty of drinks available and was open 24/7. Room was large and quiet. Very relaxing and a great view of the city. Bed was very comfortable but pillows were not great, had to ask for extras. Location was good if you have business or family in the Vancouver area. About 20 minutes from the airport. Lots of shops and the Metrotown mall all very close to the hotel. Overall a great first stay here and will look to stay again in the future.
The room was of great size and view. The only downside was that the bathroom is quite small and seems without a fan. The front desk staff were all great! Parking was ~$20, and the garage space was kind of narrow. The biggest unpleasant surprise of my stay came from a male server of the restaurant. There was no greeting or asking for coffee, no cleaning of plates. When asked for a menu, the server seem really impatient. Seems lack of basic training.
Hotel room was larger than I expected and very clean. Bed was comfortable and pillows were great. A/C fan was loud, but temperature was good so we just turned it off. We had access to the club lounge, but did not include continental breakfast as it states when you book… I was advised of this when I checked in. The coffee machine in the lounge was a nice perk, and lots of water, pop, juice, tea and coffee in the lounge. Location was ideal, short walk to Metrotown Mall and many other options for shopping close by. Lots of parking (pay), height of 6’6”… felt close for my truck but no issues. I would highly recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful stay at this Hilton hotel. The location is ideal next to Metrotown with plenty of good restaurants nearby within walking distance. The staff are super friendly and the room is nice with comfortable beds. Will stay there again.
Really good service. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel and room was fantastic. We stayed on the 9th floor with a beautiful view. Had a wonderful breakfast with everything we could possibly want. We will definitely recommend this hotel!
This is a very well located property, within the Metrotown complex, full of restaurants, close to one of the main transportation hubs and plenty of areas to walk and shop. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed, with nice beds and pillows. The bathroom has a decent size and the toiletries are above average. The public spaces are clean and despite the hotel being full, it didn’t show. It has a nice restaurant with prices a bit above average but enough for an early breakfast or a decent dinner. Note that parking is not free and it’s within what you expect to pay in this kind of property. I had to attend an important meeting and I needed a good private space and they allowed me to use the lounge for a couple of hours. Thank you! The only detail that took away one star is the very deficient wifi. It was quite unstable, connecting and reconnecting every 5-10 minutes. It happen in my two devices so I know it wasn’t a device issue. Not a very good experience for this kind of property.…
We loved staying at this property. The staff and the manager that was there when we checked in, Mr. Bing Liu were all great! Location in Burnaby is wonderful, right near a major mall and easy to get everywhere. Rooms very clean and all the staff is very accommodating and helpful. Great gym.Free coffee in the lobby and in the rooms. Easy parking is accessible. I would definitely recommend staying here. Have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. There is a great park with trails called Central Park for walking near by, and grocery store just down the street. Everyone working at the hotel is super helpful and friendly!
I was charged for parking , there were no cup no kettle not enough bathrooms amenities. Housekeeping staff knocks my door at 8 am when I am Sleeping. Room was so small I will definitely not stay here again . I called room service front office no one responded me back and neither they called me back .
