Came to Stettler on business. Could not turn on the TV. Kept getting 'press OK to watch TV" No luck. Kept pressing OK and nothing happened. Turned TV off. Lady at reception was very helpful but we could not get the TV to work. Decided to have a cup of coffee with the Keurig machine. The water would not heat up and although i have a similar coffee machine at home, this one would not work. The water does not heat up and the coffee machine keeps asking to place cup. Noting happens. Machine times out and turns off. No hot breakfast although the price does not change.
We really like this hotel! The hotel is a very clean, with friendly staff, and prompt service. We stayed in a king suite that had a very comfortable king size bed, couch, desk and chair, microwave, mini fridge, sink, and a decent size bathroom with a deep soaker tub. This hotel is pet friendly as we had our dog travelling with us. They have a choice of breakfast items. We used the nice big swimming pool, water slide, and hot tub area. The fitness equipment is great. We also used the guest laundry. I would recommend anyone to stay at Canalta Stettler if you are wanting a reasonably priced hotel with great amenities. There is also a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel so you do not have to leave the hotel area to eat and go out.
The bed was broken in the room or missing a wheel so everytime someone moved the whole bed did aswell. The room was very dirty and with direct access our side there was a large amount of people thoughout the night right out side your window. The location is great if you’re there for the hospital but this is a lot more like a hotel 6 then a canalta. Would nit recommend to anyone.
We went on the last summer steam train, Sept 28/29. Our room was ready a little early so we checked in and took our luggage up. The room was large and comfortable and clean. We did notice that there was no where to charge our phones. Great to have a Kerug we brought our own coffee. After our train ride and the cold we decided to use the bubble tub to warm us up. Much to our dispare the tub was not working, we called the main desk to find that tub was indeed broken and they were waiting on parts. They had a continantial breakfast if you call it that, not impressed! the pancake, egg, and sausage was for the work crews. I would have prefered a bagel. Or perhaps the restaurant should be opened up during the summer. You could offer a coupon for Smittys or something. We do not get away very often but the tub would have been great! Front end staff very polite and smiling.…
We really enjoyed our stay here. We checked in after our train experience & decided to take in the hot tub to relax. Pool area is great. The room was larger than most. Coffee & microwave & fridge & big comfy chair but no place to charge our phones on the nightstand or clock or lamp. Good thing I remembered my adaptor for my devices so we made it work. Third floor room was very quiet, bed was comfortable & breakfast bag to-go was nice. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you for a relaxing visit to Stettler.
