Hotel's Favourite
Had a great stay and breakfast (included) was delicious. Real food, not commercial food, cooked nicely and with pride. Additionally, the hotel is directly across from Costco and its gas bar. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Not one to leave a negative review but here we go. If you're travelling alone this hotel is great, however do not go if you are a large group. We were there for a hockey tournament and they could not have been less accommodating. Our team likely spent around $10K there this weekend and they were very resistant to any kind of group or team gathering, despite having adequate space. We put up with dogs barking constantly, but the girls were told to be quiet many times (during daylight hours). Hockey teams - take the extra time to drive to a different hotel.

Hi Andrea, We appreciate that you travelled with your U15 female hockey team from Warman to attend the popular Okotoks Female Hockey Tournament. For whatever reason, this particular weekend was over the top for the number of complaints we had from non-hockey teams guests. We have to maintain a balance between giving the teams the freedom they want and feel they deserve while minimizing disruptions to guests who are staying for business, attending a funeral, or just visiting friends/family in the area. As mentioned in my response to your other review, all of our event venues were booked for private functions. On certain weekends, we just don't have complimentary meeting rooms available for teams to party in. It is impossible for us to set up for a 7 am start to an event the following morning that has pre-booked all 3 of our meeting rooms if the hockey teams want to 'socialize' in the meeting rooms until the wee hours of the morning. This just isn't practical and it is impossible for us to re-set the room and be ready for an event with 138 people in attendance. We are sorry to hear that you think that our hotel isn't team friendly. We host 100's of teams from a variety of sports every year, but there has to be a mutual respect given to other guests staying in the hotel. This past weekend, this didn't happen. I hope your daughter's team was successful in the hockey tournament and that you had a great trip home to Warman.

The hotel staff had nothing but complaints about us being there with our team. They complained every chance they had about us. We were not rowdy. We obeyed their quiet hour rules. Our kids from the team were not playing mini sticks. We were not the only team to stay there at the same time. They had similar experiences with staff. Generally disappointed with the service.

Hi Danielle, Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. We enjoyed having your Leduc U9 team stay with us while attending the very popular female hockey tournament in Okotoks this past weekend. It is a tricky balance for us on busy hockey weekends at the hotel. While we try to accommodate large groups, the guests who are not with the groups do not appreciate the noise disturbances from parents gathering in the corridors of the hallways or kids running around the hotel. When we receive multiple complaints at the front desk, we do our best to address them in a timely fashion so that everyone can have a great experience. I am sorry that you felt we aren't accommodating to sports teams. This couldn't be further from the truth. That said, we do have to do our best to mitigate noise complaints when they are brought to our attention. I hope you had a safe trip back home.

Multiple hockey teams were staying here and should accommodate for that. Would not recommend for a hockey team to stay here. Didn’t put teams on one single floor mixed the teams up. Should of put none hockey teams on top floor, where it would be more peaceful. None hockey team guests were put on the same floor where other teams were and got noise complaints at 7 pm. If you are a sports team do not stay here.

We hope your daughter's team had a successful weekend at the Female Hockey Tournament in Okotoks this past weekend. If there was a way for sports teams to each book an entire floor of a hotel, that would be amazing. Unfortunately, when you book standard rooms, they are scattered across all floors of any hotel. Being a medium sized hotel, we don't have the capacity on any given floor to do this unless your team is willing to book all the room types on the floor - standards, kitchenettes, suites and long term stay rooms. We do our best to keep groups together and away from other guests and teams, however sometimes it is simply impossible. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us. I hope you had a safe trip home.

Had an accessible room on first floor. Large groups of kids sports teams booked in. Staff put them in the breakfast nook directly outside the room where they screamed and chanted from 7-10:30 pm. Couldn’t even hear the TV. Staff did not seem willing to speak to the group. There is also two banquet rooms at the end of the 1st floor hall. Conference booking meant large group lining up outside our room at 7:30 am. Room not cleaned after third day- was told they do not clean rooms regularly and to put garbage in the hall. Day staff were friendly but evening staff were not helpful or particularly friendly. If you need an accessible room, don’t expect to sleep

Dia, Thank you for letting us know your concerns, we appreciate it. I will look into your comments regarding the kids socializing in the breakfast area. It is a communal area of the hotel, however at quiet time at 11 pm, we ask that all guests respect others after this time. For housekeeping, we offer full housekeeping twice per week, but if you require housekeeping in between, we are happy to assist. I am not sure why you would be told to leave your garbage in the hallway. Some guests ask us not to enter their room when they are out, and leave their garbage in the hallway to be changed, but that is typically an exception as compare to a rule. Again, thanks for your feedback. I hope you have a safe trip back to Edmonton.

Nice clean hotel, close to amenities. The staff could not do more to help. All so friendly. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was good and changed up daily. This hotel seemed to be the best in the area for location and value.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at this Best Western, mainly because it was a walk across the street to the Costco where we were able to do a bit of shopping in the evening, and fill up with gas before continuing on to the United States the next morning.

As a long haul truck driver I have been using the truck as my home. Been trying to get on my feet again. August 14 I lost my job which also meant I had no place to stay. Im new to Alberta with no family and very little connections here in the Calgary/Okotoks area. The staff has gone above and beyond to help ensure that I have a room to stay in. They have been very gracious, caring, kind, helpful during this difficult time in my life. Yes there are cheaper hotels; however, Im sure the service would not have been the same. I am grateful for the caring staff and making a little light shine during this time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! Thank you to the staff here!!!

We stayed here while we were visiting Okotoks. It’s in a good location to visit the old town and shops and a good base for exploring further afield. The room was fine although you do have to ask for anything you need from the reception desk as the rooms are not serviced during your stay. Breakfast was ok but not as much choice as other Best Western Hotels we have stayed in. Seemed a bit impersonal But we enjoyed our stay and visiting the area.
