Stayed for 5 nights in a pet friendly room, the only option for pet friendly is your basic two queen bed on ground level. This room type has a mini fridge but no microwave, the door to the bathroom slides and has no lock. It was convenient to take the dog outside to a grassy area just down the hall from our room. There is a key card for the side door to the outside but it was never locked. The cleanliness of my room was not great, the floor specifically. Along the edge of the floor beside the bed near where the blankets laid was filthy and my feet were dirty from the floor, the rest of the room was good. I did not have cleaning done my entire stay because of having pets with me it is hard to get them out of the way so I never mentioned it but you should not come in to your room and have the floor not clean.
Be aware that the pet charge is per pet $20 a night.
The pool area is great and the highlight of the hotel. It has a waterslide that my kids very much enjoyed, fun for adults too. The pool is big enough that you can swim away from the area of the slide and not worry about getting hit by people coming off the slide. The hot tub is big and really neat looking with lights, but way too hot. I couldn't sit in it for more than a minute, it hurt the skin it was so hot. I mentioned it to the front but they said they keep it at 104 and check it daily, I was disappointed that it was too hot to enjoy.
I really like the atrium style interior where the pool is, and there is a nice sitting area outside of the pool that you can look in through a glass wall and tables you can sit at. There is a neat bridge with water below you walk across to get to Montanas located inside the hotel.
There is a gym on the upper level with a view of the pool and atrium below.
Breakfast is included at Montanas, but it was not good. I ate there 4 out of the five mornings and it was the same every single day. Only one morning there was fruit, there was sausage, egg, pancake, toast and chunky hashbrowns. One type of juice, water and coffee. You have a ticket you hand the waitress then serve yourself. Temperature of the food was not hot enough and it didn't taste fresh except for one morning. One day the pancakes were so hard they were inedible. I appreciate breakfast being included but it should at least be satisfactory in freshness and changing it up each day. We ate at Montanas for supper a few times and the experience was much better, the food was good and fresh then.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but our stay was only average.

Have stayed many times before was good. But this last time was horrible I recommended this place over fantasy land hotel and I felt embarrassed I did. Hockey teams were booked and pool was over booked and kids were throwing things from 2nd floor into the pool there parents were watching and did nothing was gross. My family and the guest I recommend to stay there could not use pool. I ended up canceling my room and got a room in Leduc best western so we could use water slide and pool.

Dear cgauthier0717, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused during your stay with us. The pool area on weekends can be busy as our hotel is very popular for sports team on weekends. It is unfortunate that we don't schedule pool time and is open for all our in-house guest. We hope you will be able to enjoy the pool time on your next stay. We look forward to welcoming you again.

This hotel is popular amongst families and sporting teams. So many kids running and screaming in the halls, hockey sticks and ball playing in the halls, on the stairs and front lobby even. I don’t blame the kids, this is clearly a lack of control or care from the parents and hotel staff. The first night, after midnight, we were seriously annoyed to told the kids in the hall to get to their rooms and be quiet. Went to the front desk and she says oh no, this is why we have security….who is currently outside with 6 others enjoying weed. True story. With no rules enforced for the respect and comfort of other guests, we get clocked for having beverages in the pool area. Despite the fact there is a water bottle refill station in the pool area. Hmmm. Kids are rampant and busting into the exercise room and screaming laughing and leaving again. They are all over the equipment jumping and piling on or trying to use the weights. Party rooms with 10+ adults, keeping next door rooms with kids awake. Thankfully, a different security was on duty and was taking care of it after we made a complaint. It’s not all bad. Check in was smooth and friendly. But a few things can improve this hotel for maximum comfort and safety. When you have to rekey a room card or ask for a new one….they didn’t even ask for ID or my name, just the room number. Exercise room access should either be room card entry or a separate gym key to request at the desk. Security during the day walking around to control some of constant chaos from kids is not a bad idea. Wish list would include more seating in the pool area. The splash park has been non functional forever, might be an opportunity for loungers in that area. Also I wish there was adult swim hour in the morning and evening. The included breakfast is quite decent and we are appreciative of that. I have hope for this hotel to tweak a few things for all guests to enjoy their stay.

We planned a family road trip to the Edmonton area and found the Coast Nisku, that met all of our needs (good water slide, easy accessibility to activities in Edmonton, good rate!). We booked through Hotels.com about a month prior, and arrived late in the evening to check in. Somehow, our reservation from Hotels.com didn't make it's way through, but Mary at the front desk swooped in and seamlessly got it back on track (thanks, Mary!)
We were very pleased with this hotel; it's clean, relatively new looking, the layout is perfect with the rooms on the perimeter and the restaurant and pool in the middle. We stayed in room 178, and it was the perfect spot in my opinion; it was tucked back from a lot of the foot traffic, but literally 20 steps from the restaurant, and maybe 20 more to the pool.
The water slide is great one; not too short/boring like so many other hotel water slides! The pool temperature was great. We thought the colour-changing underwater lights were a very cool touch in the pool and hot tub.
FYI: Pool towels are kept at the front desk.
The restaurant in the hotel is a Montana's, and the service and food was pretty good!
We also tried George's Pizza across the street (in the Holiday Inn, I think); the pizza is really good, but the portion sizes were small (medium was more like a small pizza). Worth the short walk over for sure.
The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and body lotion are all in larger bottles, which if you like enough to take home, you're welcome to at a charge. I imagine all Coast hotels do this now (??), but I actually really like this concept, mostly because we never ran short. As a family with 3 girls, it was nice to always have enough supplies.
I need to toss one more shout out Mary (from the front desk)'s way; towards the end of our trip, we changed our minds back and forth whether or not we wanted to extend our stay, and Mary - the trooper that she is - helped accommodate the entire time.
We felt safe, and very welcome at this hotel and we'll gladly return in the future!

While the Nisku Inn boasts a convenient location near the airport, it leaves much to be desired when it comes to a peaceful stay. The open-concept design, featuring a banquet hall in the center of the hotel, is a recipe for sleepless nights—especially if there's a wedding or other event taking place. During my stay, I also encountered a broken toilet seat in one of our rooms and was subjected to a distractingly loud air conditioning system. Despite its proximity to the airport, the Nisku Inn is not the place to go for a restful sleep before an early flight. Definitely bring earplugs if you plan on staying. I would rate it 1 star for the overall discomfort and noise level.

Chose the Coast NIsku Inn & Conference Centre for my wedding venue and was very pleased we did. I did a lot of shopping around and found by far they have the best services for the price. Some parts of the hotel have been updated and are quite beautiful. I loved the continental breakfast the next day, the food was delicious.
The pool area is beautiful and a hit with families but would recommend requesting a room away from that area if you don't have kids as it can be loud in the mornings.
They have an amazing room rate for weddings or large events, and overall quite pleased with the quality of the rooms for the price you pay.

Very poor hotel. My new bathing suit was bleached out in the hot tub, as was my daughters and another woman’s. It appears they likely threw bleach into the water instead of chlorine. Our room was dirty, the hair dryer was broken, and it appears water from the fridge leaked onto the rug, causing a large area to be soaked. Although they entice families to come and enjoy the pool and slide, the TV had very limited cable with no shows for children. Overall, no redeeming qualities.

Coast Hotel – Nisku, Alberta, Canada My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in July 2022. The room was just average, no better or worse than many we stay in, but the hotel runs a policy of only cleaning the room upon guest’s request (supposedly to offer the guest a more relaxing stay???). Breakfast was really poor with the ONLY buffet options being scrambled egg, pancakes, home fries, sausages and preformed thin sliced ham (NEVER bacon) all of the aforementioned often cold within 15 minutes of breakfast starting. There is bread for toasting and jam but NO cereals, oatmeal or pastries. The coffee is ok. This hotel is particularly NOISY with the swimming pool, open until 10pm, being a magnet for families with kids of all ages. Kids running up and down and conversations in the corridor is echoed in the rooms, we found it extremely disturbing when trying to get off to sleep. For us this was a disappointing experience and we would not recommend it for anyone looking for a reasonable breakfast and at least some peace and quiet. Colin Bewick

Hotel was good. But what made the business trip the most enjoyable was the pool/hot tub, having a good restaurant in the hotel, and the pub attached that had karaoke night thursday night. Not much else in Nisku and this allowed us to shop close by, eat and have some drinks without having to drive or pay for a taxi/uber etc. AC/Heater in room was very loud and bathroom had a weird sliding door that did not lock. Shower was poorly designed as water basically splashes out with no way of moving shower head and no shower door or curtain.

For team bookings just be aware that having a room block did not ensure you will be together. We were scattered through out the hotel on different floors. Also there is absolutely NO socialization of any sort allowed after 10pm. You are expected to be in your room with door closed or you will be told to leave. For hockey kids there is no mini sticks or ball games allowed anywhere in the hotel so there is just the pool area to play for team building. There is rooms available where food and liquor services is provided until10pm but no outside booze or food is allowed in there. The lack of respect, communication and understanding from the overwhelming amount of security guards and manager after 10pm was beyond disturbing and nothing I have ever experienced in a hotel before. I have never heard of a hotel telling all guests at 10:01pm that they had to go to their rooms and be confined there during “quiet time”. This was mind blowing to me. On the upside, the hotel is beautiful with an amazing pool area with rooms overlooking it but it can be very loud at times so I would book a room far from it if you have napping children. Also the food from Montana’s was convenient and delicious.

Dear ChadilacAlberta, Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre would like to thank you for your valuable feedback. May I start by offering my sincere apologies on behalf of our entire team for the discomfort you had to face because of our “Non-Disturbance policy”. On a positive note we are glad that you found our facility beautiful, pool area- amazing and food in Montana’s delicious. Thank you! I, as a hotel manager would like to take this as an opportunity to address some topics here for all the review readers: Dear readers, please note that our hotel not only accommodates the larger teams and groups but also accommodates transient guests who have to catch their flight or have to report to work next day morning or are here for a purpose. We welcome you all! Please note that not only the safety of guest and staff is our top most priority, but also a comfortable and enjoyable night stay to our valuable guests can’t be compromised. Therefore, we have security guard and manager-on-duty on site to ensure your safety and comfort. We always try our best to put a group or team together in a particular section of the hotel although it is all based on availability. There are many guests (group/Team members) who would like to check-in early before the check-in time, which is 3:00pm. The dissatisfaction level goes high if the front desk staff tells them to wait till 3:00pm to check-in to their rooms. Please also note that there are guests with the same group or team who don’t want to be close to their team especially if they are travelling with little kids, toddlers or babies. I would also like to clarify here that we do early check-in only if the guest is okay to be away from their group/team. For hockey kids, there are no mini sticks or ball games allowed anywhere in the hotel; Just to mention one among many reasons, please imagine if they hit a fire sprinkler line while playing and the sprinkler pipe bursts. The level of damages to the property and the inconvenience to our guests is simply unacceptable and unrecoverable. The outside food and liquor is not allowed in our meeting/social rooms. The hotel is a full service hotel with Montana’s BBQ & Bar and the Den Pub on site with very reasonably priced menu. On top of that, prior arrangements can be made to have a customized menu that fits your requirements. I, again thank you for giving me an opportunity to put some words here through this review.
