I had a awesome time there. It’s very close to my favourite drinking place. It’s just they don’t have gluten free food. I am celiac and it’s very hard to find good food for me. I am a janitor of 20 years & there rooms & bathrooms are always clean

Very friendly staff here. The suite room is very nice and bid. Beds are actually pretty comfy. Breakfast is pretty standard but was nice to have that options. I think they should offer free breakfast from Rickies instead.
For some odd reason you can’t pay debit for you room. Cash or credit only.
The kids although simple pool they like it. Nice to take a quick dip after a long day. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work so that kind of sucked but we made due. It’s a place I would stay at again.

Hotel is in a good location, Ricky's restaurant is attached to it and the food was good. The hotel is dated and showing. There were sketchy partons in the lobby a few times, with having a run in with one which didn't give me good feelings about the place. Our first room smelled horrible, the staff at the front was great and helped us find a new room. It did take three rooms to finally find one that kind of worked. The room we finally got had enough beds that we booked but didn't have a kitchen. Beds were firm but comfortable. Continental breakfast was okay and has a decent amount of choices.

I am usually loyal to Super 8 but this one is horrible !!! I travel with my dogs for Schutzhund training … visited in winter and their parking lot was sheer ice , no gravel down or snow removal . The other buildings in the area had no ice ….. I fell and hurt myself just getting to the car , notified staff and still not an acknowledgment…..to make matters worse this is the ONLY Wyndham hotel that I stayed at that charges double pet fees when travelling with two dogs.
The staff were quite rude when I brought up my concerns .
There are much friendlier and safer , cleaner hotels to stay at in the Ft Sask area that are pet friendly and affordable

Although the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the condition of the room was appalling. The furniture, walls and carpets were very beat up. Hot water took a very long time, wasting a great deal of water.

Cheapest hotel in the Edmonton area with the friendliest and most welcoming staff I have ever seen! Had a small issue with the room not cooling down quite enough but I can’t fault them for a one off fluke with the AC. They made my experience at the hotel a positive one and gave me a nice central spot for my travels between Edmonton and Elk Island National Park.

The minute I walked in the hotel I was greeted with the most helpful cheery staff. I was having some difficulties finding a room and they made sure to accommodate me and ensure I got a room. I have been here 5 days and everyday I am greeted with nothing but smiles. Breakfast is included here as well and it is actually good. Lots of variety of things to eat and plenty to go around. They have made sure my stay has been enjoyable comfortable and fun.

Recently we were evacuated from Fort McMurray due to wild fires in the area. We frantically started calling for somewhere to stay with 2 dogs, 3 cats and 4 adults. this hotel was the 2nd place we called and they welcomed us with open arms and hospitality. They took care of all our needs (and our pets). Once we were given the ok to return to our home, we hastily packed and checked out. The front desk notified us a short time later and informed us our daughter had forgotten her Apple watch. They mailed it to us at no charge to us! We would highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. Room was spacious, very comfy bed and nice soft pillows. Loved the oversized coffee perk and was nice to have the little kitchen area set aside. It is usually set up on the dresser or table and this was much more convenient. Great price!

Just finished up a stay at the Super 8 while attending a dance competition at the Dow Centre.
We booked the room 100% due to its proximity to the facility – last year I was essentially parking near the hotel and walking (as the parking lot gets soooo full at times) so this year I decided to give the hotel a shot.
I am happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are fantastic – I had called in advance to request an early check in and they were very accommodating – was able to check in at 1:00! The location of the hotel if you are attending an event at the Dow Centre is tough to beat. I literally parked my car on Thursday and did not move it until we left on Monday.
There is a Ricky’s attached to the hotel and a Montana’s within walking distance as well. Each morning there is a basic free breakfast at the hotel. Perfect if you don’t need more than coffee and toast. Ricky's does NOT do room service nor delivery but was quick for Pick Up orders.
Yes it is a Super 8 so you get a Super 8 quality of room. However, the room was clean and quiet. Even for a main floor location. The furniture is looking a little worn (semi broken desk chair, chips in the laminate counters) but it served its purpose.
The room was large enough for myself and my teenaged daughter, it would be tighter once you start adding more bodies but good enough for the two of us in a 2 Queen Room. I did discover while visiting a friend’s room in the hotel that she had a 2 Queen room that had a small bar / counter area so her layout was quite larger than the one I had. We both booked the same type of room with the same rate so if that is important you may want to call to request.
We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on that area but it looked clean and inviting enough. Good enough for a quick dip or fun with smaller kids for a while.
So if you are considering booking this hotel due to its location I say go for it. In fact I have already re-booked the hotel in anticipation of attending the competition again next year.
If management is reading for any feedback a couple quick comments that could improve a few things:
• Do something about the chilly hallways – they were really cold at times
• The breakfast area could use a little attention – the only yogurt was in a fridge behind a counter marked “staff only” yet more times than not there was no one around to get you the yogurt
• Ensuring the chairs in the rooms are all in good repair –one chair in room 126 had a leg brace broken
