Having taken over the Newcastle Country Inn six months ago, Daljit and Singh are excellent hosts. They went above and beyond, in our opinion. Brand new house slippers were given to us so we wouldn't track outside dirt onto their carpet, maintaining the inn's cleanliness. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and included all the usual comforts (TV, central A/C, extra blankets, luggage rack, mini fridge). The ensuite had a shower head with the perfect amount of pressure and constant heat despite others taking showers at the same time throughout the house. The bed was super comfortable. We thought breakfast was going to be a quick grab'n'go cold continental, but to our surprise, we woke up to the smell of sausages, hashbrowns, and eggs. They had the living room TV on and even asked one of the other guests' child if they wanted to watch cartoons, and would change the channel to accommodate them! I think the inn gives off the "home away from home" vibe. It is located in a quiet part of Drumheller, not too far away from the all the usual dino action (20 minutes walk). It's also one of the closest, if not THE closest, accommodation if you're visiting Drumheller to watch the Passion Play at the Badlands Amphitheatre.

Overall, these are hosts/owners that really do care about your comfort during your stay. We'd definitely stay with them again in the future. Keep up the great work!

The place had an amazing home like feel.Very clean ,even cleaner than my home. The mattresses are back friendly and the quilts were colourful and added excitement to the whole mood.Rooms we had were spacious with microwave and they hosts took care to provide both summer as well as winter blankets just in case seniors needed themThe shower with a math tub had raise installed for safety and had antislip strips too with the right amount of pressure and hot water inspire being full at that weekend. The breakfast they served was amazing and we could have asked for more. Pancakes, hash browns and bacon and 3 types of organic juices.Hosts were very friendly .The place is at a walking distance to the passion play site and has ample parking available.Located in a quiet area with just 4 minutes drive to downtown.

We always felt at home .

We have not been able to stay at the Newcastle Country Inn during the past 5 years but we had been annual patrons of the Inn for many years before. For trip during this hectic weekend in Drumheller, we found the Newcastle Country Inn to still be the best place to stay in the Valley. The customer service is excellent, the rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable to stay in. The new hot breakfast option is terrific, especially when it was a busy weekend in the community and it's restaurants. It is still a lovely peacefully area to stay and we had an excellent sleep at the Inn. Thank you so much to owner/hosts of this lovely gem. We will visit again.

My aunt had booked two rooms on booking.com with a search for hotels that were pet friendly. This Inn came up so she booked two rooms. When we arrived we were told we could not bring the dog. We had to find another hotel. It was obviously an understandable mistake but the hotel has refused to refund us. They simply took our money and turned us away

Dear Guest, We have been not pet friendly since 1985 .Booking.com and our website both clearly mention that. You arrived, checked in and even moved to one room. Later on the guest of the second room arrived and we clearly stated that we were not pet-friendly. You were explained that the guests who had already checked in can stay but we cannot let the pet in. It was left to you to either stay or leave .We haven't charged you a penny for that and you should follow up with booking.com for that. We do not allow pets and even slippers beyond our entrance so as to keep our place free of all allergens ,chemicals and other pollutants. We will continue to to that and take pride in providing a clean environment for our seniors and adults. It will also be noteworthy to mention that we had to clean up after you used that room and the trash that was left behind in that period of time. We still thank you for considering and choosing to stay with us.

Very poor experience at New Castle Country Inn. Damp room in basement and very noisy at night with traffic going by into the wee hours of the morning. Bugs in the bathroom in corners but looked dead. Breakfast was a not good. I found a hair in my food and so did the person sitting at the same table. A real turn off! Yet paid a premium rate for room. Did not get money's worth.

Very nice clean, private rooms
Owners are excellent to deal with and very pleasant. Very secure, no issues at all, lots of parking. Within walking distance of local dining and pub. Very comfortable, would highly recommend to others. Will book again.

A small country inn, personally supervised by Judith and Barbara. I felt very welcome here in a fairly quiet area about 1.7km from downtown. My room was perhaps smaller than most hotel rooms, but very homely and in immaculate condition, with fridge and quiet air-conditioning. Continental breakfast is included and there was a good selection of juices, cereals and breads. No food service in the area, but downtown is ony 5 mins with a good selection of restaurants. Also very close to the Badlands Passion Play and the Dinosaur Trail. This is a must for spectacular views of weird scenery, and the Tyrrell Museum is good fun for both adults and children. Also the Hoodoos are weird and fun.

Overpriced and over rated. If this is the best that Drumheller has, I’d HATE to see the worst!

We have stayed in many B & B’s and this one was The WORST we’ve experienced!

We walked into their office to check in - it’s their Living Room / Kitchen. The family was watching TV and I felt like an intruder. This is THEIR kitchen, but you can have a COLD breakfast in the morning.

We were put in a small dungeon type bedroom in the basement, which had a STRONG air freshener smell - probably to mask the old house smell.

One small garbage can in the bathroom and one Large can for bottles. We use both for garbage for convenience.

We heard EVERY noise next door! We heard a child in next room was having a bath. You could hear all the playing and the crying. WALLS are thin and so in the ceiling. We heard every step from upstairs both at night in in the morning as the floor creaks very badly!

You have NO control on the temperature, thank goodness a small window opened.
You have to walk on their dirty 70’s carpet without shoes.

Hard Lumpy bed.

Not worth even half of what they charged!

For over $140 night I would expect a Hot breakfast SERVED to me and much MUCH more. DON’T stay here!! They are just out for the money!
