This independently owned motel was a godsend for us on our road trip. The fully equipped kitchen was great, the room was clean, the staff were very friendly and professional. Definitely recommend this motel, especially if you are visiting the nearby Dinosaur Provincial Park!
Helpful staff and clean room. I stayed in the main build room 116 and the was clean. The air condition was great and had a good night sleep on a very hot summer day. The budget motel is a gem in Brooks, AB. Will certainly stay here again and will recommend it.
It is always great to go to Brooks and work there. Whenever I am in Brooks this is always one place that I stay and that is the Plains Motel. Great services as always, room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Rita at the Front Desk has great customer service. Always great to be back.
We stayed here one night in June on our way to Manitoba....this motel was absolutely fabulous. Our trip was delayed a few hours with roadwork and various traffic incidents but the lovely desk clerk waited for us no problem. I had booked a single queen but emailed on the road if a double was available as we really needed to stretch out after our harrowing drive....he gladly upgraded us to a super comfy and clean room. Amazing hot water pressure and a tub! Little fridge and coffee service and the beds were sooooo comfortable....this is a fantastic road trip stop and we will be heading back and forth soon and will stay here again both directions....thanks to the wonderful staff for such a clean and comfortable room....see you soon!
On a different time of a year it could be a nice motel, but not in summer. AC unit was noisy and useless at the same time. It was working at the full speed for 3 or 4 hours, but is was still too hot in the room to sleep, and I had to ventilate the room in the middle of the night for more than an hour to get some rest. Ground floor rooms could be a better choice... Staff was very friendly, efficient checking us in, and helpful, but the office was open only until 9, so we missed our chance to change the room.
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at this family owned and operated Motel. We were met with a warm welcome and checked into our room in a timely manner. The room was simple, accessible, comfortable, clean and safe. We both enjoyed our stay and the amazing customer service; and because of this, I will be returning customer in the future.
We spent a night last week at the Plains Motel in a room with two double beds that was pet-friendly. (Room 307). The motel is definitely dated, but the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and kind of in contrast to everything else in the room, the TV was a modern, large, flat-screen TV. There is a greenspace right by our room, which was perfect for getting the dog to do his business. We will stay at the Plains again, you really can't beat the price!
We had a room with microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Room was clean and heater worked well. Laundry was on the premise. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Great location. Definitely recommend.
Excellent value. I don’t know why you’d stay anywhere else, especially if you like motels. Seems to have been renovated. In any case, it was very clean and quiet. We stopped over there between Dinosaur PP and Medicine Hat.
Nice place to stay for a very reasonable price. Everything you need is in right down the street from the motel. The manager is very kind, and always makes sure we feel at home. They are also pet friendly!
