This was our favourite hotel on our week stay in Alberta. This hotel checked all of our boxes with a good pool with a waterslide. A decent complimentary breakfast a very nicely renovated room and a very friendly blonde lady up front. We strongly recommend this hotel. This is in the quiet industrial part of airdrie which is only a short jaunt to any sort of ammenities required.

I normally stick to Hilton and Wyndham properties during our many hotel stays. Working in hospitality myself, I have very high standards. Despite its unusual location, I decided to give this property a shot for a change in pace. From the initial phone calls, to check in, requests for service/amenities, the treatment of my four children, the staff were nothing short of outstanding. I’ve rarely stayed at ANY hotel and not found something broken, dirty, overlooked or not to my satisfaction. Every inch of the property from my room to the lobby and pool was SPOTLESS. I noticed some footprints in the elevator and it was taken care of in MINUTES!!! I especially appreciated the high quality bath products and tropical smelling cleaners used. It added to the ambiance of feeling like a wonderful vacation. When we arrived to our room, extra towels were already waiting in our room- exceptional hospitality that I’ve rarely experienced.

My only complaint was the hot tub being closed for “social distancing” when only one family is allowed in the pool area at a time- makes no sense whatsoever. All of my regular hotels have theirs open right now- so definitely disappointing. I was worried about not having a separate bedroom (usually a must for me), however I was so taken with the modern, thoughtful layout, furnishings, lighting, size and bed comfort, it was actually perfect for a family. If this property is any indication of the quality of Holiday Inns now, they will gain a loyal guest. Despite only living an hour away, I will be back again just to enjoy what is truly exceptional champagne with a beer price tag. I’ve stayed at many properties in a 20 minute radius of here, and this is now my favorite.

Haven’t stayed here since before Covid. Am happy to report that this is the cleanest, quietest night sleep I’ve had at an HIE in a long time! All employees I came in contact with greeted me with a smile, entire hotel I experienced was ridiculously clean and room was perfect with clean floors, super comfortable bed and a heating system that allowed me to leave the fan on full time which also helped block out any random hall or neighboring room noise. Breakfast was standard fare HIE w scrambled eggs and the egg-cheese omelettes with sausage.
Only bad review I can make about this location is there is no food or drink within walking distance.
Thanks for a nice night stay! My compliments to your management and staff!

My company booked this hotel for a 2 day business trip to Airdrie. It is conveniently located for our client but also for anyone who is traveling to Calgary. It made a good impression. The hotel appears new and all the public areas were airy, neat, and clean. The room was similarly airy, neat, and clean and I had plenty of room and all conveniences. I stayed on the third floor and faced the front of the hotel. I had no problem with noise. I would rate the free breakfast as better than average for hotels of this type. Overall my rating would have been very good anyway but then something happened.
I became ill and couldn't travel. My reservation changed, sometimes on a daily basis, until I had stayed in my room for two weeks. This is when this hotel distinguished itself. The staff were absolutely friendly, helpful, efficient, and I am now going to use a word I don't use very often - kind. They anticipated my needs and often volunteered to do things which are not part of their jobs. They brought breakfast to my room, made sure I had plenty of water and juice to drink, offered to get me cold/flu medicines, and were just generally very solicitous of my health.
I did not have a single staff interaction which was not excellent but I would like to mention two people by name because of their help and attention. Sonja Cuthbert (General Manager) and Cheryl Medeiros (Director of Operations) were unfailingly wonderful every day.
I am going to make a point of telling family, friends, work colleagues, and acquaintances about how well I was treated by this hotel and its staff. I will make an effort to stay at Holiday Inn Express whenever I have a choice. And to the staff - thank you again.

Front desk and kitchen staff were amazing! Room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast had a wide variety of items to choose from and kitchen staff did an excellent job of restocking food items and keeping the dining area clean. Pool area was clean with warm water temperature. Very family-friendly hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

Had some of the best customer service we’ve ever had in a hotel here. Megan (sp?) at the front desk was amazing from the start so We just assumed it was her personality but we learned it was all staff including the manager who was very accommodating/helpful after AHS closed the hotel pool. Our family came for a two night mid week staycation to get some pool time. Pool time was booked in 1 hr increments and one family per room while we were there. Hotel front desk called us an hour before our pool time and said we could have an extra hour since no one else had registered if we wanted. As this was our only reason to come we were so excited. They booked us for another one the following morning and one later that afternoon but unfortunately the pool was closed due to new restrictions (which was out of their hands). They were so apologetic and sympathetic and I hope the staff there know how much we appreciated them and the time we had. Room was great and pool/slide were also great but the customer service was why we will absolutely return.

We had a very last minute stay at this location in late December. Unfortunately our VRBO that booked and paid for months on advance pulled out the day we were to check in. No notice-no refund/ that’s a whole other story. Back to the hotel they were excellent and very helpful as we scrambled to find 3 rooms at the last minute. They did everything they could to assist us. The facility is pretty new and on very good shape. I was surprised to see a previous review Sat that the breakfast was overpriced and not very good. The breakfast buffet was included for all 3 of our rooms and we found it to be one of the better “included” breakfasts we have had recently in hotels. The lady working the breakfast was also very friendly and helpful.
The only reason I gave a four star rating and not a five star was that when we went use the pool in the morning it was closed for maintenance without any prior notice. If we had known that we would have used it the night before as it was available.
We would definitely stay here again

Excellent
We were evacuated from the fires in British Columbia and needed a place to stay for at least two weeks, there were three of us needing two rooms. We were quickly accommodated in this very busy hotel. We were greeted warmly by Sonya, and immediately felt comfortable. The staff were absolutely fantastic. From management, reception, housekeeping and kitchen staff, they all treated us like family. Beds, bedding and pillows were very comfortable and the room was spotless. There was enough variation at the breakfast buffet to keep us happy for the entire time we were there! A warm thank you to the team at the AirdrieHoliday Inn for helping make a most traumatic time a little easier ️

Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was bagged lunch style but very plentiful and no one left hungry (we even had snacks to take for our day out!). Pool was clean, kids were thrilled. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Stayed back in the summer with my two teens. It was something I was quite nervous about given the pandemic but this hotel went above and beyond to make us feel safe. Big kudos to all the staff we encountered on July 30th, 2020!
