Finally a hotel where the welcome, the services, the room, the various attentions make you feel that you have chosen the right place.
We particularly appreciated the calm, general atmosphere of the hotel, the swimming pool, the charming and attentive staff, an ultra relaxing and quality breakfast and served with a smile and good humor and finally the quality of our room (welcome products and towels). bathrobe and ultra soft bath mats (my favorite) the bathroom is superb with shower and bathtub. Well done and thank you for everything.

I am delighted with my stay which was more than idyllic, even better than I imagined.
Everything is perfect, whether it is the establishment itself or the service where the staff takes great care, the little touches that are a pleasure, the impeccable condition of the rooms which are very comfortable
The farmhouse has a living room with fireplace which allows you to spend a cocooning moment.
The breakfast was delicious, made up of homemade and/or locally produced products, which was very appreciated.
In addition, your establishment is eco-responsible.
Everything comes together for a fabulous stay, thank you!

I find that the Award paid for breakfast is not related to what is proposed. For 25 euros I received a small slice of ham to share and a piece of cheese that was not possible to share. To have a boiled egg you have to pay 8 euros more.

Hôtel Mas de l’Oulivié is an outstanding hotel and a delightful place to stay in Provence. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. Staff, including those at reception and servers for breakfast, lunch, and the bar, are friendly and helpful. This is my favorite hotel in Provence and one of my favorite hotels of any place I have stayed. It is comfortable and relaxing and feels like the best of a home away from home.
Breakfast, lunch, lite fare, wine, and drinks are served at the hotel on the lovely patio and around the beautiful pool, weather permitting. Both the cuisine and service are very good.
The hotel is located in the country within a 30-60 minute drive of many cities and sites, such as Arles, Avignon, St. Remy de Provence, Les Beaux de Provence, Aix de Provence, Pont du Gard, and Nimes. Mas de l’Oulivie is an easy 30-minute drive from the Avignon TGV rail station. Multiple excellent restaurants, both more casual and more refined, are within easy 10-15 drives of Hôtel Mas de l’Oulivié.
I express my gratitude and appreciation to the owners and to Noémie, Amel, Isabelle, Dominique, Leo, Samuel, and others for being an exceptional team at the hotel and for providing such an exceptional accommodation.

Dear Madam, Where to begin to answer to so many compliments? And what to answer to "the best of a home away from home'"? Should I say to Tripadvisor readers that you have been coming to Mas de l'Oulivié for 20 years... and each time you do a long travel from the US! It is time for us to thank you for your faithfulness and being so kind with all the team. Kindest regards, Isabelle Achard - Commercial Manager

Great room well equipped and comfortable. Choose the ground floor if you have an otherwise very welcome pet. Welcome and service in line with the hotel category. The reduced meal plan offered in the evening allows you to eat very well without having to go out. Breakfast menu very complete and suitable for the whole family.

Lovely hotel with a relaxing garden and quite a large pool.
Ideal for relaxing after a «culture day» (provided the cold mistral does not blow ;-)).
The breakfast served at the table was mMn too «sweet» and too expensive.
You can also skip it and simply enjoy a coffee/tea with or without croissant.

Very surprised to find superlatives about this hotel “dream stay” “wonderful” etc..
Certainly this hotel is magnificent, warm welcome. Nice room. Unfortunately, you don't take advantage of the swimming pool which is cold, or the very beautiful surroundings around the swimming pool, either. The hotel is located along the Route des Baux de Provence and the incessant noise of cars and motorbikes spoils everything. So spending 260 euros just to sleep means the hotel won't see us again. (no noise when in the room)
As for the breakfast at 23 euros, the price is excessive. We settled for coffee in the room.

This is a very expensive hotel - even breakfast is extra although delicious! We had a plate of meats for dinner to share & bought our own salad. Total cost just over £300 for one night. My main gripe is that a disabled accessible room is an extra €100 which I feel is discriminatory. The floors in the Classic Room we had were very slippery. We stayed here to see the Eagle Owl’s that roost nearby - they of course were fabulous!

Response from , Propriétaire at Mas de l'Oulivie
Responded Aug 9, 2023
Dear Madam, We read today your comment which drew our attention and to which answers are necessary. You booked with the intermediary of an online travel agency a Classique Room which is not a disabled accessible room at the rate of 258 euros (222 £) and it is normal that you pay service to your agency ; just note that if you had booked directly with the hotel the rate would have been 215 euros (185 £) which is obviously far from the amount of 300 £ which you mention to have paid for this room. As regards the rate of our reduced mobility room (Caractère room) the rate is 275 euros instead of 215 euros in a Classique room and this is not at all an extra cost due to disabled equipment but due to the size of the room and the location with a terrace (with table and chairs) opening onto the garden and accessible from the room; this is why we totally disagree that it is discriminatory to pay more for a disabled room. Therefore, we would advise you for any futur stay to make a direct booking for a reduced mobility room and even more to call the hotel to chose your room and get detailed description for the room equipment (for instance we provide non-skid shower mat which you did not ask for). Kind regards, Isabelle Achard - Commercial Manager

Amazing stay both in the place and in the services and staff of the farmhouse. Everything is on top, the view of the Alpilles, the terraced pool, the landscaped garden, the service and the services offered. The staff is very friendly. In catering there are many local products for the gargantuan breakfast and for the evening plans , the Provencal spirit of the room and the general decoration of the establishment guarantee a most pleasant experience. The little extra, free charging station for the vehicle.

So here we are back in this charming Hotel where we are so well received;
We were able to benefit from a superb room with a pretty terrace overlooking the interior garden, where we were able to enjoy an excellent bottle of champagne in the company of our children to whom we wanted to introduce the region;
The magnificent swimming pool was welcome in this heat almost exceeding 40...
As for hiking, we will have to come back again, but in mid-season this time!

Les Baux is a 20-30 min walk and has plenty of restaurants. You should be ok as long as you don't want to go to any other towns, none of which would be walking distance. Be mindful that Les Baux is built into a cliff and has many many stairs to enter the village. We are young and in shape, so while it wasn't easy -- we were fine. Anyone who has mobility issues or trouble with stairs may find this very hard to do.
