Detailed Reviews

The best asset of this hotel is its location, very close to the lake from which it is only separated by a cycle path and a beautiful riverside promenade: calm and tranquility guaranteed.
Quite beautiful architecture, and interesting interior design: the building is very long, but we have divided the corridor into sections of a few rooms, offset from each other, which creates a less impersonal atmosphere.
Beautiful modern room with small balcony.
Magnificent adjoining restaurant, brightly lit with large terrace, original and delicious Mediterranean menu.
Major inconvenience for a person with reduced mobility (walker or wheelchair): the exterior access ramps, which are quite numerous, are not sheltered from bad weather and all, except one, lead to two successive doors that are relatively heavy and which do not open. not by push button. Inside, another disadvantage in the same area. I wanted a room on the 2nd floor to have a better view of the lake and a bigger balcony, and since my wife has limited mobility, I asked if there was an elevator and was told no, but that there was a ramp. So I booked for the 2nd floor, but the ramp in question only leads to the ground floor in a slightly higher part of the building. It is impossible to access the 2nd floor without climbing stairs. I had made it clear that I wanted a room on the 2nd floor, but I found myself on the ground floor, even after going up the ramp.
The worst part of the experience, for us, was the absolutely inadequate lighting in the room. Radically impossible to read, in the evening, in the armchair or sofa; you have to do it sitting in bed, which is a very poor ergonomic position. Even the small desk lamp is inadequate and cannot be positioned correctly for, for example, using the computer. For this aspect alone, I will not return to this hotel.
Furthermore, I find that the quality/price ratio is not very good, even with the "5th free night" package that I purchased, given that there are almost no services (mini -empty fridge in the room, no vending machines when the restaurant is closed, no room service).
The billing and payment system also left me perplexed. First, you have to pay for the entire stay upon arrival, which is more appropriate for a cheap motel than a hotel, plus a refundable deposit of $200 to cover other costs in advance; we feel a bit like we're being suspected of wanting to leave without paying, which isn't very pleasant. On the day of departure, when I request a final invoice, I am told that I will receive it by email, but the invoice that I receive contains no, but no, details (room, restaurant, taxes, etc.) except the figure final $0.00 to pay. So I asked for a detailed invoice, which I received, but it was so poorly done that it seems that I paid taxes on the tips at the restaurant and even on the accommodation tax. I have to make a second request to finally have a complete invoice with all the details clearly identified. These are unnecessary inconveniences which do not leave a completely pleasant memory of the place.

Trendy boutique hotel on the waterfront in the heart of Magog was very well equipped and furnished. There were the usual amenities in the room but the bathrobes, a Nespresso machine and a private balcony overlooking beautiful Lake Memphrémagog took this hotel to the next level for us. The restaurant, Koz, in the hotel served a wonderful breakfast both mornings. Also the waterfront cycling/walking/skating path is just steps from the hotel.
We had a very relaxing and restful weekend; can’t wait to return! Thank you to all the great staff for making our stay perfect!

Very comfortable and clean! The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations. We had a patio overlooking the water and it was beautiful. We ate at the hotel in the restaurant [Koz Bistro] and it was really good. They were fully booked, but made space for us in the bar area and the food was fantastic. Within a 10-minute walk along the water to the main street with many restaurants and bars.

We stayed at this boutique hotel because of the great location and reasonable rates. Located right on the lake with an interesting restaurant and bar. The fireplace in our room was much appreciated as it was unusually cold for February. Also a short walk to the shops, restaurants and vegetarian market.

Lovely hotel! The design of the hotel is great because I believe every room has a view of the lake.
The room we were in was so spacious, sleek and had everything we needed. We loved the Nespresso machine and was so excited to hear we could have an unlimited amount.
The staff was so courteous and available when needed. The hotel is in an amazing area with a market and bakery (Les Moulins La Fayette) within a 5 minute walk.

Nice clean place with an exceptional restaurant. Location is right on the water, bike path between hotel and water. You can walk to the town on the walking paths or rent a bike and go for miles. I walked it.

With the noise of the train, the refrigerator, the heater, the fireplace, the hotel cleaning staff, even if the city and the hotel were pretty empty, we were not able to relax and have a nice sleep. They changed us to another room after one day because the water heater was not working. They told us it was an upgrade, but the new room was much smaller, noisier and didn't have a dining table, which was the reason we had chosen this hotel. At the end, it was a generally bad experience. I would not recommend.

Reservation made easily by phone directly with the Hotel for 2 night stay. Very difficult to reach anyone by phone afterwards, prior our stay, to obtain paid reservation email confirmation which wasn’t sent. Room without soap in shower (wall dispenser), very hard heavy pillows and blood stains on bed linens. Hotel staff notified and they changed linens and filled dispensers but damage done for us. Toilet had a constant leaking noise.
No elevator or help with luggage. Steep narrow first floor stairwell
During checkout when asked if we had a nice stay the above was declared and the only response was « oh »
Restaurant good but closed our second night Staff pleasant. Nice view.

First experience at this small boutique hotel at the foot of the lake, the cruise and the beach. We had a balcony room on the 2nd floor, magnificent view of the place, only drawback, there are no elevators for transporting luggage. For people with reduced mobility ask for the 1st floor. We appreciated the comfort of the room and the very large bed. Good breakfast service. and dinners at the Koz restaurant, with Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, a great discovery. On the 3rd day we left on foot to take our 3 hour excursion to Le Creux.

Hi, unfortunately there is no bike rental at the hotel...
Yes, you can swim in the lake but I never have so I can't tell you about the lake bottom or clarity of the water. The only dock I saw was at the port for ships. I'm pretty sure that you could google images for swimming in lake memphramagog. Have fun
